Curing the Villains 3

"You really convinced the government to try and make me a guinea pig for you, what can cure me can also kill me," Max said.

"It's no use playing games with us, Max, of course, we're sure it's safe before coming here, after all, it's my Battle Sage reputation that's at stake," Jack said.

Jack was dressed as Battle Sage and Peter came as himself because he was representing their laboratory that created the cure for the villains, even though Jack couldn't make money from it, he wanted the publicity and the government would find out anyway.

"You heroes really think you're gods, you come here to take away my power and say that's a cure? I'm not sick, I don't need a cure, it's your hypocrisy to take away my powers." Max said angrily.

"This is a cure, Max, if not for your powers, it's a cure for society, you could hide your powers if you wanted, you could even use your powers for good and become a hero," Jack said.

"If you did that, your powers would still be with you, but you chose your powers for evil, you stole and killed using your powers, and that's why we're taking them away from you today by curing you," Jack said.

Jack didn't say anything else and approached Max, he tried to resist, but Jack didn't care and held Max's arm and placed the device on his chest, Jack used telekinesis to keep Max still.

The lights on the device started to light up, when all the lights were on, Max would lose his powers and be a normal criminal who could no longer escape from prison, in less than 2 minutes all the lights lit up.

Jack felt that Max no longer had his powers, he was getting weaker and had lost all his physical enhancements, Jack could tell that Max was cured and in the future, he would be a problem for the police and not for the heroes.

Jack left the prison with Peter, who had been very quiet since they found Max. Peter had once thought that he could cure villains and help them, but seeing Max so angry about losing his powers made him question whether he was wrong before.

"Don't think too much about it, Peter. There are different kinds of people. Max is a real villain. He used his powers to steal because he wanted to. Other villains like the Green Goblin and Doctor Octopus had their minds changed because of their powers," said Jack.

"The Vulture is also a villain. He's a regular human who created a flying device and used it to steal. We won't cure these people. We'll just take away the powers of villains, and some of them will be good people afterward."

"I trust you, Peter, so I'll tell you a little secret. There are people in this world with special powers. They're called mutants, and they're named that way because a change in their DNA gives them powers. But this makes their DNA different from ours," said Jack.

"There are more than 1 million mutants in the world, which may seem like a lot, but since there are more than 7 billion people on Earth, it's a small number. Most of them have weak powers, and some look different from regular humans."

"What do these mutants do? They hide. Weak mutants and the few powerful ones who want peace hide to avoid fighting with humans, but few mutants become evil and want to harm humans."

"If we talk about taking away mutant powers from these few who become evil, they'll hate us forever, even though they always say they suffer discrimination for being mutants. Now, if we invented a cure for mutants living in fear and hiding, they would accept it and be grateful to us," said Jack.

Peter listened to everything Jack said and understood a bit. He also wondered if he was a type of mutant since he wasn't a regular human, but he understood that good people wanted to be normal. He himself had wanted to lose his powers a few times.

What Jack said was that if people with powers hid or did good like him, no one would speak up to take their powers away, but people like Max wouldn't have that choice.

Soon Peter became excited again because the next person they would cure was Doctor Octopus, a person who was good but whose powers had driven him crazy. His powers in this case were the mechanical arms that affected his brain.

Jack even said that he intended to make a request for Doctor Octopus to undergo a psychological examination and be released after he was cured since his crimes could be considered to have been caused by mental problems.

Just like with Electro, the cure for Doctor Octopus was more about engineering than biology, so EVE could be very helpful again. With practice, they quickly managed to create something to cure Doctor Octopus's mind.

Peter told Gwen beforehand what they were doing, and since she also worked in the laboratory, Gwen also wanted to participate in the Doctor Octopus curing project, especially since her father was killed by him.

Jack also explained that the mechanical arms caused his brain not to function properly, and that's why he became a villain. Gwen was someone as morally good as Peter and said she also wanted to see Doctor Octopus cured if he was really that good.

Doctor Octopus had also recently been arrested by Peter, so they went back to prison to cure him. This time the government didn't need to be convinced and even thanked them for taking another villain out of society.

Jack brought a psychologist along with them, so it would be easier to prove that Doctor Octopus had a personality altered by his mechanical arms. Soon they saw Doctor Octopus in his cell.

The police had already found a way to remove Doctor Octopus's mechanical arms, but he could control them from a great distance and had used them a few times to break out of prison.

After all, the problem was not that the mechanical arms were connected to his body, but that they were connected to his brain and spoke to him, driving Doctor Octopus crazy.

Doctor Octopus saw Jack entering his cell, and this time Peter and the psychologist stayed outside the cell. The psychologist was afraid of Doctor Octopus, and Peter had to pretend to be afraid too since he wasn't dressed as Spider-Man now.
