3 - First Fight

This is my first attempt at writing a combat scene, so it may be below average/expectations. I can only improve by trying and correcting my mistakes, so please have some patience with me if the scenes are terrible ¬ ¬

The appearance of the instant Dungeon was quite simple. It was a small plain that seemed extremely limited, surrounded by some trees and a certain amount of undergrowth, with the campsite located in the center.

The campsite was made of rough wood and other simpler materials, demonstrating the rustic level of the Kobolds' capabilities. There were two entrances on the left and right sides of the camp, which had a circular shape.

In each of the entrances, there were two towers where guard Kobolds resided.

"It's impossible to have an idea of how many Kobolds are inside. If we follow basic logic..." He walked around, searching for something specific. After walking for some time, he found it.

"Kobolds away from the camp, possibly in search of food." Kobolds were a strange species. They had lizard-like features and draconian horns, but their physical characteristics were not highly advanced.

They had minimal intelligence, being more dangerous than normal Goblins. Each of the Kobolds he encountered held a weapon in one hand while carrying ropes in the other.

"Let's see..." Murmuring to himself, he analyzed the area where these Kobolds were located. It was a small road with a lake of unknown depth next to it. The Kobolds walked around attentively while covering each other, totaling four Kobolds.

Making a decision, Miguel held the stone tightly and threw it to the side, making a 'plop' sound.

The Kobolds quickly turned in the direction of the noise, raising their guards and gripping their weapons tightly.

KAARRRHG

As a primitive instinct, they roared at the supposed figure that was located on the side. Taking advantage of the situation, Miguel left his hiding place and ran towards the Kobolds who had their backs turned to him.

His footsteps made enough noise that when he got close enough, the four Kobolds turned and noticed him.

KKAAARGH!!

They roared furiously before charging towards Miguel, who tensed his body as he took a deep breath.

[Zero Stance: Figueira has been activated]

A notification was generated by the System, and his movement changed, causing the Kobolds to become slightly confused but still continue to attack.

Miguel delivered the first strike, a palm strike aimed at the hand of one of the Kobolds, intending to disarm him. The stone gauntlet in Miguel's hands caused an extremely high damage factor for the strike, resulting in a strong blow to the Kobold's right hand.

The Kobold roared in pain while the others took advantage of Miguel's proximity and attacked him, alerting the boy to the danger.

[The Passive Skill Perception (D) proves effective]

The notification appeared, allowing him to react slightly better than normal, as he was quite nervous about his first fight.

Miguel's reaction was enhanced by the activation of the Passive Skill, causing him to quickly duck down while sweeping one of the Kobolds off his feet.

The positioning of the Kobold hit by the sweep wasn't optimal as he was attacking at the time, making Miguel's flexibility quite effective. The sweep targeted the Kobold's only foot on the ground, causing him to lose balance and begin to fall.

Miguel quickly propelled himself off the ground with the help of his hands to gain some height, while extending his left leg to aim at the unbalanced Kobold's neck.

[The Skill Bara was used]

A loud impact sound (within reason) was heard as Miguel's foot connected with the Kobold's neck, pushing the affected Kobold forcefully to the ground.

[The Enemy has been successfully stunned]

A successive notice appeared, causing Miguel to shift his attention to the other Kobold. Since his action with the previous one was relatively quick, the next Kobold was still in the early stages of his next attack attempt.

[The Skill Patrinia has been activated]

His hands moved at a high speed before colliding with the Kobold's dagger, extending to grab his hand and crushing it with a certain amount of force, forcing the Kobold to release the weapon as an instinctive reaction.

His Stone Gloves were making reasonable cuts on the Kobold, allowing Miguel to take advantage of the situation to strike the same Kobold's leg with a kick.

[The Skill Botan was used]

A kick with twice the current strength of Miguel was used, causing the affected Kobold's leg to give way, making him kneel. Miguel seized the opportunity to deliver a palm strike to the Kobold's throat since he was closer than ever, causing a deep cut as green blood sprayed.

[The Passive Skill Perception (D) was activated]

A different notice appeared, causing him to widen his eyes before attempting to jump back while letting go of the previous Kobold.

But this action proved quite fruitless when Miguel felt a certain pain in the left side of his abdomen. He looked at the area to see a dagger piercing through the designated area, while the pain increased more and more.

In desperation, he struck the Kobold who revealed himself by performing this attack, hitting him forcefully in the nose, causing the Kobold to need to retreat.

Feeling safer, Miguel backed away a bit more while facing the remaining three Kobolds. The one he had stunned had just recovered from the stun, the one whose hand he had cut was glaring at him furiously, and the one who had stabbed him was holding his nose in pain.

[You have lost 300 HP]

[You are bleeding, from now on you will lose 10 HP per second]

[HP: 1,350 > 1,050]

'Tch, it hurts...' He thought with a certain coldness that surprised him, giving some extra credit to the mental changes he was warned about by the System 'I didn't think they would be so extreme.' He stopped thinking immediately when he saw the three Kobolds advancing towards him.

Preferring to leave the knife there to avoid worsening the bleeding, he moved towards the Kobolds. His eyes were focused on their movements so he could dodge possible strikes.

When he got close enough to them, he used his flexibility to jump high while gritting his teeth, feeling the pain from the still embedded dagger. His foot extended backward and quickly descended towards the head of one of the Kobolds, who was caught off guard by the jumping action.

[The Skill Bara was used]

The kick collided with the Kobold's neck, sinking him into the ground, causing Miguel to land on top of the Kobold's body.

He was immediately greeted by two blows, each coming from a different side, prompting him to choose the right side and jump in that direction.

[The Skill Patrinia was used]

Miguel smiled as he saw the Skill being activated, while the Kobold's weapon was about to collide with his gauntlet. But surprisingly for Miguel, the weapon diverted its path and struck his other arm, making him grunt in pain.

[You received 100 damage]

[The bleeding intensified, now you will lose 20 HP per second]

[HP: 1,350 > 900]

The hand that was going to use the Skill Patrinia grabbed the arm of the Kobold that was stabbing his arm, while Miguel's left leg rose towards the Kobold's chin.

[The Skill Botan was used]

Since these were Skills that didn't consume MP (surprisingly), Miguel could make full use of these three abilities, and thus, he delivered a powerful upward kick to the Kobold's chin, making him fall to the ground.

Another notification appeared in the corner of Miguel's screen, hidden, indicating that there were now two of them. They seemed to be stored, not wanting to occupy his current field of vision.

The Kobold on the ground didn't seem like he would be getting up anytime soon, making Miguel feel more secure as he gasped for breath. But due to his lack of experience, he disregarded the second attack that was coming.

[You received 400 damage]

[HP: 900 > 460]

Blood spewed from Miguel's mouth as he instinctively turned around in anger, with his palms open. The blows struck the attacker Kobold's eye region, blinding him.

KYARRRG!

The Kobold let out a grotesque cry of pain before being abruptly silenced by a blow to his throat, killing him.

Yet another new notification appeared and disappeared in the corner of the screen. But this time, learning from his mistake, Miguel looked at the Kobold lying on the ground and stomped on his head, causing blood to splatter.

The four Kobolds were killed, and Miguel was absolutely exhausted. He went to a tree and tore part of his clothes before starting to wrap them there, to reduce the bleeding after removing the daggers.

[The bleeding attribute was treated]

[You will now begin to regenerate HP]

Regeneration suddenly appeared, with a '+1' appearing every few seconds.

"Truly a game-like body, such a simple treatment can cause such absurd effects..." He thought wearily as he decided to rest a bit on this tree, reflecting on the difficulty he had in his first battle.

During his recovery time, he opened the four messages that remained hidden during the battle.

[You gained 50 XP for killing a Kobold] / [You gained 50 XP for killing a Kobold] / [You gained 50 XP for killing a Kobold] / [You gained 50 XP for killing a Kobold]

In a short battle, he had gained 200 Experience, causing two new notifications to appear.

His level had increased by two. He quickly opened his Attribute Window and began to distribute his stats.

"10 levels in a fight that lasted barely thirty seconds..." He was horrified by the growth potential that killing monsters could give him. "I should be able to become much stronger than expected from here..." He suppressed a smile before getting up.

Something he had noticed was that leveling up seemed to completely restore his HP. It turned out to be more interesting than expected.

Having already experienced combat once, he moved around to search for more Kobolds. He couldn't claim to have become the most experienced guy after a single battle, but he had at least learned after being stabbed three times that he should try to keep his guard up as high as possible.

After walking for a while, he came across two more Kobolds.

"With nothing else nearby. Let's do this..." Murmuring to himself as a sort of encouragement, he advanced toward the Kobolds. His footsteps alerted the Kobolds, who quickly grabbed their knives and turned toward him.

As they spotted him, the Kobolds ran toward Miguel, who responded by stomping the ground forcefully before lunging forward, extending his leg upward.

[The Bara ability was activated]

He brought his leg down like a whip, hitting the left side of one of the two Kobolds. The struck Kobold let out a loud cry of pain as he lost balance and fell to the ground, being dragged back a bit.

Miguel's eyes had already shifted to the other Kobold, who was about to attack him, causing him to retract his leg and extend his hands forward, allowing the gauntlets to collide with the dagger.

He grabbed the dagger with both hands and took advantage of the contact with the Kobold, grabbing his entire arm. He then used his flexibility advantage to deliver a kick to the Kobold's head.

[The Bara ability was activated in succession]

With Bara being activated again, the message changed slightly before a loud thud resounded in the Kobold's face, causing him to fall to the ground.

Miguel landed on the ground as he looked at the first Kobold he hit, seeing him struggling to get up.

"My kicks are quite strong... considering that Skills increase the strength used by two times, I must be very close to the limit of an E Rank when using these abilities," he thought as he narrowed his eyes before lunging towards the standing Kobold.

[Postura Zero: Figueira was successfully activated]

His muscles tensed as he raised his hand into a closed fist, moving it towards the Kobold. The Kobold understood that he would receive the blow if he didn't dodge and quickly moved his head to the side, eliciting a smile from Miguel.

His other hand, in the form of an open palm, moved towards the Kobold's belly, focusing on his other arm, and delivered a deep cut with Kyotōryū.

KYARGHH!

The Kobold let out a roar of pain as he realized he had been deceived by Postura Zero, which made Miguel's movements more unpredictable due to his stance, further enraging the Kobold.

He swung his knife towards Miguel's head, but Miguel quickly moved his head to the right, while his left leg descended towards the side of the Kobold's belly, striking it forcefully.

[The Botan ability was successfully activated]

Blood splattered from the previously cut area as the kick landed, increasing the severity of the damage. The Kobold's body was sent flying for a measly meter as he fell to the ground, lifeless.

"Fighting against smaller numbers gives me a better success rate and battle experience for now, duly noted," he thought, shifting his gaze towards the other Kobold.

The Kobold was already running towards him but was considerably weakened after being hit in a critical spot.

With a smile on his face, Miguel confidently advanced towards the Kobold. The Kobold aimed to stab him on the left side of his body, but Miguel lunged to the right side, sliding along the ground and pulling the Kobold's legs backward.

The Kobold fell face-first onto the ground as Miguel stood up and repeatedly stomped on him until he died.

"You gained 50 Experience."

"You gained 50 Experience."

"I might start enjoying this," he declared with a smile as he took a deep breath, enjoying the sudden appearance of experience messages.

As the writer, I can perfectly understand what I intended to convey. However, I wonder how confusing it is for you, the readers, the scenes that I write? Like this fight scene, for example...
