chapter 1

Turner was tapping his finger on the table looking at his phone and wondering why has the epilogue of his favorite light novel still not released.

For the past 3 years ,every day a new chapter had been uploaded exactly at 7:00 pm. It had become a ritual for him – coming back from work, changing his clothes , sitting on the table, opening the app and reading the new chapter.

Initially the story was well liked by people but people started dropping it because it became boring. Many chapters didn't have anything worthwhile in them, just normal life of MC and the other character. All this led to only 1 reader after the initial 6 months- just Turner.

Its true even that Turner got bored many times, but he diligently followed his ritual. When he saw that he was the only reader, he started commenting on the chapters trying to lift the spirits of the author. He would give critical comments on how the writer can improve his writing, what the writer can do next etc etc and the writer would always thank him.

Today would have been the end of the story and end of his ritual. Like other times his eyes were on the screen ,his fingers tapping the table. But the problem was that the epilogue was not uploaded and it was already 7:15.

Turner went to the comments section and wrote – "please upload the epilogue….."

He heard an immediate ding. The author had replied almost instantly –" Im sorry. I cant write the epilogue…. The MC is too pitiful…"

Pitiful ?... Turner thought. Yes it was true that it was pitiful. In order to save the world the MC lost all his friends. It was like a repeat incident - him losing a friend, him resolving to not lose anyone else and then failing at it. At the end of his journey all his friends had died and he was all alone. Its true that he saved the world but at what cost ? Yes the MC must have felt truly pitiful….

The author commented again – "if you could get a chance , would you have saved everyone ?"

Turner read it and gave a hollow life- "How can I save them ? It was you who killed them, after all you're the author no ? "

The author again commented again – "if you could get a chance , would you have saved everyone ?"

Turner narrowed his eyes , thinking why is the author even asking this now after all it was him that had killed all the important characters and that if didn't want them to die he should have written it like that. But still he thought about it and replied – "….. if I could get a chance I would definitely try to save them…."

Author replied – " ok . Good luck. Please save as many as you can. Maybe then I could finally be happy…."

After reading it darkness spread across Turner's eyes...

When light came back he was in an assembly hall, full of people. They were wearing the same clothes… Red and black coat with black pants ….. He looked at his body ... heck even, he was wearing the same.

Suddenly he heard the sound of mike… testing 1 2 3... good evening to you all . Congratulations for being admitted in divine red academy....

The person on the mike kept rambling on but Turner was not listening. His mind was working at lightning speed – red divine academy ? The place where Light(Mc) went ? the place where the other important characters went? What the heck ?What happened?....
