Double takedown

Okay. I realized, that her acting skills are almost nonexistent, so she really is an idiot. She also never uses investigative Gu worms, which is a bit weird. How can a rank 3 veteran cultivator not use their Gu worms? Hell, most cultivators know that as common sense. Especially in such a dangerous environment? She feels like one of those clueless young master types. Still, how does she have so much information?

I have questioned her about a lot of subjects like Gu refining techniques, cultivation, Gu worm usage and other subjects and she seems knowledgeable on all of them. It is extremely weird, but not out of the ordinary. Some lone cultivators or demonic cultivators could very well have access to this information, but they will most likely not share it or just share it dodgily. Her attitude is like she is sharing information from a book she enjoyed with her friends and this makes her hard to figure out. Is she really gullible or is this a trap?

If I had to say which is the most interesting one, I'd choose Gu houses. Those mystical structures are quite amazing. They can use the Gu inside of them to create a defensive structure, with multiple amazing abilities! My family used to own a rank 3 Gu house, but it has been lost long ago."

Interesting information. So Gu houses are like fake Gu worms/suspended killer moves. I am guessing using a combination of formation path and refinement path attainment as supplements would help in deducing the recipe. Or blueprint, if you want to be technical.

"That is so amazing! I can't believe you used to own such an amazing contraption. What was it like? Using it, I mean?" I make sure to keep her talking at all times. Her mouth is literally a gab hole. She can't stop talking and doesn't want to, which is beneficial for me, but it is still annoying. There is a difference between enjoying something and requiring it. I have to keep her in check and make sure the information I am getting is honest and reliable.

I am still quite lucky. I met such a fat sheep as soon as I left the mountain, but I still don't understand one thing, why is she here? "I have found civilization! There is a small village a little bit that way. Let's speed up our pace and go there to rest for the day. Nighttime is quite dangerous for travel. Better we wait it out in the village."

I nodded my head, but I never stopped being alert. This village could be a trap. Well, it actually is, my trap that is. This is an abandoned village I found a couple of kilometres away from Qing Mao mountain. I have been subliminally leading here here throughout our conversation, which is another point to her being an airhead.

I told the Gong Zhu squad to wait for us there, while the war is going on. They are quite useful, so I wanted to keep them They should be waiting there in ambush, so when we arrive, we can detain this bitch and directly extract information from her soul!

"I have never heard of a village being so close to our old mountain. What do you think, brother Da?"

I obviously am bullshitting and don't really care much about Wang Da's reaction. I am mainly trying to remind Chun Jack of the traps we set here. I don't want to risk him not being ready for our ambush.

Chun Jack understood me and nodded his head when Zhang Bei Yun turned around to check on Wang Da. "I have wandered around this terrain a couple of times and even have a base here. I think I installed a trap somewhere there?"

I blink twice really fast and he catches on to what is going on "Though I can't remember if I restocked my usual spots?" I blink twice again and raise my eyebrows. "It will be night soon and we should rest up a bit. My treehouse should be somewhere around here and it is big enough for 4 people. Of course young master Zhang can stay there, while we stay at one of the more fixed up buildings."

The inexperienced miss nodded her head and looked around with prideful eyes, as if she was the ruler of this world. Most definitely a flower under a greenhouse. Wonder how she was allowed to leave her home.

Now that I think about it, she is strong. decently talented as well. Someone should be keeping an eye on her to make sure she doesn't die getting worldly experience. Or is she a runaway? Political marriages aren't uncommon here, but gender equality isn't really an issue in the Gu world, as gender adds absolutely nothing to your strength, making this place actually equal.

So the chances for her to be sent to another clan is low. Most definitely out here for worldly experience. So someone is absolutely tailing her. I am guessing rank 4 master, as anything else is overkill and they have better shit to do, than babysit a talent.

I will check back for any traces of someone following us. Even if they are rank 4, there aren't enough rank 4 Gu to go around! The babysitter most definitely only has a single rank 4 Gu and can't cover his traces up fully. Even a Wisdom path quasi-master can see through him!

So this is how sagely luck works! Quite amazing! I can even use minimal clues to randomly guess and stumble upon my enemy's information! Truly a godly combination! Wisdom path and Luck path, with these two together, no living being can counter me!

Guess I am all out of thoughts. My intuition is telling me Chun Jack can handle the rank 4 Gu master well enough. I should wait it out and make sure this bitch doesn't get away! She is most definitely being soul searched. I need outside world information and I need it immediately.

Wang Da hasn't been here ever, but he knows how I do things. My traps are extremely discreet, but the places I put them are high profile, like any good trap place. I motioned him to explain about our treehouse. The boars are supposed to be waiting in the master bedroom, which is mine BTW.

There is a hidden rank 1 son of a widow Gu at the entrance, which will instantly die, causing its counterpart, rank 1 Widowed mother Gu to be refined into a rank 2 grieving parent Gu. This will make it scream bloody murder, alerting the Gong Zhu squad, which will come out instantly to lend a hand and defeat the girl with me, while Chun Jack fight the rank 4. Pretty solid plan NGL.

Wang Da instantly noticed my treehouse (It is a literal house on a giant tree, way above any other house, literally impossible to miss) and headed towards it.

We used the rope ladder to climb on top and Wang Da instantly went to open the door. He stepped on my carpet, which has the son of a widow Gu under it, killing the Gu and a horrific howl spread throughout the entire area.

I acted startled and screamed "What kind of dumb security system is this? Why is it so loud?!" Wang Da realized what I was saying and instantly took onto the act. "It is a simple idea of mi-"

"So you are the true leader here?! Quite a weird fact, seeing such a young rank 2 refinement path quasi-grandmaster, who is quite scheming." The old man stroked his pointy beard with his hand and a red glint flashed in his eyes "What were you planning to do with my nephew there, young man?!"

I start shaking and watching as this 5 ft MF thinks he's hot shit. I note my brother's location and get ready. I move my hand and it starts shaking even faster.

5 moderately big purple moons of sharpness fly out of my hand and only 1 is on course towards the rank 4 Gu master. I threw the arcs in a way, that only left 1 loose area and 1 possible exit.

The guy smirked and jumped towards my loose area. "You think I'd fall for such a trick and get attacked by your sneaky friend?! Since when a kid still sucking the milk out of his mothers tits can fool me?!"

Wang Da stops hiding and shows himself. The old man smirks, thinking he won, when "Shink".

The sound of metal hitting metal is heard and a protective layer made out of some weird brown rock appears above the old man's body, as Guts is slammed into his torso. He has a shocked expression as I smirk and say "Show the old bastard what Guts is made for!"

The old man looks at the armour around him and watches as Guts directly penetrates it and cuts off his right leg "I-impossible!" Before he can even get his bearings back, Chun Jack does an insanely quick 360 midair spin and slashes towards him again.

Some kind of mini air explosion happened in front of his right arm and threw him away, but Chun Jack was faster and managed to cut off his hand from the wrist

I smirked at the old man and said "And it is a couple hundred years too early for you to outsmart a wisdom path master!" The eyes of the old man grow in horror as he processes what I said to him and tries to run away, only for Wang Da to suddenly appear behind him and used his Love Live Separation Gu to shoot a ball of pink smoke into the old man and caused him visible pain.

Without any healing Gu worms, he couldn't fix his condition and could only wait for death. Even if he had a way to neutralise the poison, it isn't like the giant sword under his neck will let him speak or make any more sudden movement now.

Zhang Bei Yun finally processed everything, that has happened and snapped out of her stupor. She looked at me and said "Unhand my great uncle this instant! Who do you think you are to cripple and even imprison him?!"

Before she could finish her words, I directly used my monstrous strength to punch her directly in her solar plexus and knocked all the air out of her. She fell over and could barely breathe "I will extract her soul and then we can move onto the old man. Operation successful and where the hell are those fking pigs?!"

I swear I will skin one of them alive when I find them!
