"Hello, you must be Nikolai" a lady with a voluminous chest walled into the VIP room, her gown tightly hugging her body emphasizing her curves and in one swift motion she sat beside a breathtaking young man that as long as he did not open his mouth one would admire his as a sculpture, carved and brought to life under immense comfort but his eyes held some innocence...confusing.

"Nice to meet you" she smiled and drew closer while the boy nodded slightly releasing a breath before secretly glancing at what was written on his right palm. He turned back to the lady silently and adjusted himself he did not want to come off as someone with a weak aura. He had been told that he just needed to be present, participating in any conversation was his choice.

"Miss Valery..." Nikolai muttered but was interrupted.

"Just call me Val" the lady waved generously curling her lips at his helpless expression. She said nothing as if waiting for him to strike up a conversation but as both remained quiet, awkwardness gradually permeated the air.

Nikolai could not help but feel nervous and breathed in silently. "Would you like anything to drink?"

Valery chuckled and felt that Nikolai was somewhat cute. "You can serve me when I visit your home"

Nikolai did not understand the underlying meaning of her words and nodded before the atmosphere soon became awkward once more.

"About the shipment..." Nikolai finally brought up not able to take the silence anymore but Valery ignored him and ordered wine.

She slowly poured the wine into each glass and offered him one.

The words he wanted to say could only be stuck in his throat as she collected the glass of wine only to drop it on the table. Valery frowned a bit, clearly displeased but her expression changed back...still, Nikolai could only explain himself. "Thank you but I don't drink"

Valery chuckled at the lame excuse of not buying it for even a second. "Just a sip won't hurt, rejecting it would mean you're not giving me any face at all" she took the glass and handed it to him the second time.

Nikolai felt helpless since he couldn't reject now, things were moving at a slow pace and he couldn't leave without an affirmation from her. He took just a sip and dropped the glass then he turned to Valery, his gaze urging her to make a decision.

"No hurry, the night is still young...drink more" Valery smiled but Nikolai rejected it once again.

"I really can't, I've already let down my mom a lot, the least I can do now is not make myself dirtier"

Valery rolled her eyes in her heart and drew even closer to him where her cleavage was in full view. "Your mom is not here, stop trying to be a mama's boy..."

Nikolai stood up straight away. "I'm sorry but I have to leave, there are other things in my schedule"

"Stop right there, you can't leave whether you like it or not" Valery growled clearly angry with his behavior but Nikolai apologized again and started walking away despite her protest making her mad.

"If you walk out then Klaus can forget receiving our help"

Nikolai inwardly sighed, he honestly did not want to deal with this but this lady was getting on his nerves and he couldn't remain even if he wanted to. "I have apologized and I can't do something again my conscience"

Hearing this, Valery sneered and stood up. "Who are you trying to fool, what mother...is this how she brought you up with a double standard, you speak as though you're pure"

Nikolai frowned and he fell out of breath trying to speak but his eyes became dull and he started at Valery with that soulless expression. He brought his left palm closer to his face and saw it written there 'Don't Kill'

He blinked and behaved as though he had seen nothing and slowly walked to Valery.

Seeing the boy coming back, Valery was too engrossed in her satisfaction to notice the unnatural expression on his face but before she could utter something else, a strong arm gripped her neck and her eyes widened... only then did she notice how grim expression and found that something was wrong. "W...what are you doing?"

Nikolai did not even pay her any attention and instead brought out a small knife from his pocket. There was no change in his expression when he brought the knife closer to her face.

"Calm down, we can talk...no...no please don't" Valery was so scared, tears tickled down her face when the blade touched her skin.

"Shut up!" Nikolai frowned and the girl was silent with just whimpers left.

He played with the knife in his hand before increasing the length of her grin making her look hideous. Seeing the blood, he was extremely disgusted and wiped it off with her dress before walking out of the room...leaving behind the unconscious girl.

"That is what happened..." Nikolai said indifferently and the man sitting opposite him frowned, tapping on the table before letting out an exhausted sigh.

"She's dead...it seems someone is deliberately trying to make you a scapegoat" the man analyzed with a hard expression. Things were going to be messy in the following days, Nikolai was indispensable and even the boss thought so and now that someone was trying to touch their interest they had to send out a warning.

"As long as you had no hand in her death...we won't let you bite the bullet for someone else"

"What about the goods?"

"We have to find another company" Klaus groaned. "These people really don't know what's good for them, the more time delayed the more blood will be drawn, the boss is already in a bad mood because of this incident"

Nikolai stood up, not caring about any more gossip. "Gotta go, don't make me do this kind of thing again, a simple warning might not be enough next time"
