Leah Knight
One month later
I was casually conversing with Jasmine in the kitchen while making breakfast when suddenly, I was lifted off the ground by strong arms and being twirled around in the air.
"Ares put me down!" I squealed. Ares laughed and puts me back down on the ground, allowing me to catch my spinning head against his chest.
"good morning, sugar plum" he cooes, pinching Jasmine's cheeks. It has been a month already and Ares was now completely healed. Making him run around the house constantly annoying Jasmine or riding the horses like he had been crippled for 15 years. Well technically, he didn't get to enjoy the company of his family during his childhood so he actually was. The morning, I woke up to an empty bed and a bedside note, telling me that Ares had left to feed the horses at 5 O'clock in the morning. I mean honestly, I was glad he was alright. But he was taking his health for granted considering he has already started working from home.
