Kyle put the car into gear and started driving home.

After a while, he spoke up again. "So, before I spoiled things with the fountain stunt, did you have an enjoyable evening?"

"Are you suggesting that you don't end every date by throwing the girl in a fountain?"

"I didn't throw you in!" Kyle protested. "I told you, I never even meant for you to get wet!"

"I'm just teasing!" Andrea assured him. "I know this wasn't deliberate. And to answer your question, yes, I was enjoying the evening. I still am, even though a bit damply," she laughed. She could tell that Kyle felt responsible, but it honestly wasn't his fault. "Does this mean the date is over?"

"I figured that would be for the best. Unless…" He sounded a little hopeful as he said, "Was there anything else you wanted to do?"
