INJECTION MONSTERS

Meanwhile, Jia had already thrown a fit in the hospital. She was not able to walk but she threw all the medicine bottles next to her on the floor and even the stand was thrown down. She had fallen out of the bed and was dragging her body to exit the room.

Around her, a few nurses were trying to stop her but they all ended up being bitten by the angry Jia. Suddenly the door of the ward opened and a beauty entered.

Jessica was expressionless on seeing the scene inside. She just smiles mischievously at her sister and walks up to her.

"Sis, how did this happen. Are you alright?" Jessica keeled down to reach Jia's height. She worriedly tried tucking at her hand but this ignited Jia even more and she ruthlessly pushed Jessica away. She had applied too much force that Jessica ended up hitting on the door. The edgy door left a scar on her arm and blood oozed out of it.

"YOU DID THIS TO ME…. I HATE YOU, GO AWAY!!!"Jia shouted her eyes bloodshot red from anger. She raised her head and froze instantly.

Steve walked in dressed in his business clothes he looked extremely handsome. He was just at the door when he frowned deeply. Seeing the blood on Jessica's arm he panicked and took her in his arms. He instantly asked the doctor to bandage the wound before he turned to the stupefied Jia on the floor.

"Brother-in-law…" Jia said in a pitiful voice. Steve did not even blink an eye before he raised his hand which landed on her face.

*Pak*Pak*Pak*Pak*

He hit her so badly that her cheek ached. She was even more surprised. 'How could he not side with her even in this situation. What did this s**t do to him? I am gonna take my revenge.'

Steve had totally lost control as he hit Jia's face brutally. When he was still not done hitting her a man dressed in black entered the room and separated him from her. Not letting him hit her anymore. He whispered something in his ear which bought an evil smirk on his face as he stared disdainfully at the girl.

After leaving the ward with a satisfied smile on his face Steve entered the dressing room. Jessica was seated on a stool as a nurse bandaged her wound. It was a slightly deep wound but will not leave any scar. The doctor instructed them to get a tetanus injection to prevent any infection. On the mention of an injection Jessica's face paled.

While she was taken to the doctor she held onto Steve's sleeve as she made a pitiful and pout face. But this did not melt the demon's heart who was really worried about his wife getting an infection after being bitten by a venomous creature.

Jessica was very afraid of injections. Even a high-profile bomb did not scare her but an injection was enough to bring tears to her eyes. It was not a childhood phobia. She had received a long-term treatment and had to take at least twenty injections a day, which naturally resulted in her hatred for it.

The fear was clearly visible on Jessica's face as she entered the doctor's room. She gulped as she saw the doctor pulling out a syringe. Her fear increased as a past memory crossed her mind. She turned numb and her fingernails dug into Steve's arm.

Steve seemed to feel pain in his arm and looked up at Jessica who was as white as a sheet. He patted on her clenched hands and gave her a reassuring smile. This eased Jessica a bit as she sat on the stool. The doctor walked up to her with the syringe and gestured her to stretch out her hand. She stared at the syringe as if she could make it burst out.

Steve held her hand and moved it in front of the nurse with the doctor. His intentions were clear- he did not want anyone to touch his girl. The nurse came forward and took the injection from the doctor. She bends down to hold Jessica's hand but to her surprise, the woman got up abruptly and rushed out of the room.

Jessica ran out of the room and stood in front of the window in the corridor. She was taking in short breaths and her beautiful eyes were filled with tears. Her body was trembling as if she had just received a thunderbolt shock.

Steve had also rushed out to check on Jessica and he felt something to be fishy as he saw her frighten up like a soaked cat. He was not sure what had happened to her in the past but now he knew it was something huge. Someone could not get fear from a minor thing in just a year or two, it would take at least five years for someone to be this afraid of anything. Before heading towards her Steve took out his phone and messaged his closest friend to investigate her past.

Jessica was still panicked when she felt someone behind her. She turned around and saw him from her misty gaze. The tears that were at the bay were now threatening to fall. She instantly hugged the person in front of her.

Steve was dumbstruck but still managed to get back to bee calm. He gently patted the back of Jessica. He could feel her tears on his shirt and he was now, even more, determined to know her past and the things that could scare her to this extent and he was sure that the person he had asked would be able to get his hands on some information.

Jessica finally calmed down after an hour or two. During this time she just leaned on to him and cried as he just slowly patted and comforted her. This was the second time she had let herself cry in front of him. The reason she asked for time before marriage was that she wanted to tell him that she was strong and did not need to rely on anyone. But at the end of the day, she cried only and only in his embrace and she was not uneasy or ashamed. It just ended up comforting her more. Without her knowledge, she was already getting used to him.

Jessica and Steve were walking down the street. They had just eaten dinner and decided to walk home. Jessica was finally able to escape her fear, the injection, after pleading to Steve, and to her surprise, he agreed.

They walk beside each other on the empty streets. There was not much traffic as the place was far from the city center.

"Uh… Can I ask you something?" Jessica spoke as she stole a glance at Steve. He looked at her and stopped in his tracks before replying with a 'hmm'

"Do you think I am weak? Like I have cried in front of you many times. Will you still want to marry me after knowing that I am a weakling?" Her voice was innocent as if asking him to trust her and dote in her. Steve stopped again and turned to her.

He narrowed his eyes and moved close to her ears before speaking, "you are destined to be with me… and I know you are not weak. Even if you are, don't worry I will protect you from all the injection monsters…" He let out a soft chuckle as he stood in front of the embarrassed one.
