An Old Song
Cassey nodded and sat on the piano. Her hands touched the black and white keys as if it was something sacred. She roamed her hands for a few more seconds. But when she met the impatient gaze of the girl who had folded her hands and staring at her, Cassey pressed the keys.
She did not know many songs. But she knew this one song best. It was the song Tyrone had taught her personally when they were recently married.
She was sure Penny had heard that song too when she was too little. Cassey used to hum this song as her lullaby to connect the girl with her father.
Who would have thought that they would be connected so well that Cassey would be left behind.
She took a deep breath and concentrated more on music.
