Kanon

His eyes went up and down scanning what was keeping him flying.

"Look alive Captain!" Erina said cheerfully.

Kota looked to see Erina crossing her arms over Sano's neck, happy as could be, floating behind his back. Kanon also held both arms over his shoulders as Sano held her to his chest. Sano's free arm was holding his god-arc out.

His eyes didn't lie. Kota was seeing flapping wings from the Predator-Form. A tendril clung to him, The Wingspan couldn't be more damning. It looked like a dragon made of oracle tendrils.

BEHOLD THE PENDRAGONS WINGSPAN!

"Emil!!? Where are you!?" Kota screamed.

On top of the morphed Arc, Emil sat like a paladin on his mount.

"IF YOU COULD ONLY SEE ME NOW MY FRIEND!" Emil shouted to the sky with a hearty laugh.

"YOU COULD DO THIS THE WHOLE TIME!?" Kota pointed an accusing finger at the inmate.

"IT'S AWESOME RIGHT!?" Kanon screamed.

"HELL-YEAH-ITS-AWESOME-WHY-WERE-YOU-HIDING-THIS!? " Kota yammered.

"We're going in! Erina, fill Kota in on the plan. EMIL YOU'RE ATTACKING WITH ME!" Sano yelled. He never replied to Kota.

"ON YOUR MARK!" Emil replied with a salute.

"I'VE GOT THIS!" Kanon smirked at the inmate. Sano didn't get the chance to say anything more. He didn't need to with Kanon's confidence.

The God-Arc soared down and Erina dropped with Kanon and Kota behind the line of shock traps.

BRAAAAEEEAGGH!

The loud squelch helped Kota remember the current crisis.

Sano and Emil flew right at the giant at full speed!

"(We called it, this is too big to leave alone!)" Sano thought.

Like a giant bug!

"(A…Cricket?)" Sano wondered.

No, more like a grasshopper. Yep, a giant grasshopper!

"(It…really does.)" Sano thought.

He's a harrier than I imagined.

Sanos buster-blade reformed as he and Emil flew towards the mouthless face of the Ouroboros.

Emil swung in from the left while Sano swung from the right.

With a rocket-powered strike, Emil slammed his hammer on the Ouroboros upper horn. The impact left a crack.

The beast twitched. Its eyes glowed as it seemed to leer at Emil.

With all his might the inmate swung his god-arc reverse-gripped on the beast's adjacent horn.

The impact was much greater. The entire horn nearly came undone.

BLREAAAAAAGGGHH

He did not like that.

The Ouroboros' head vibrated uncontrollably, shaking off Emil and Sano.

Then more beams fired at random from its eyes. Emil used his rocket hammer to close back in.

The Ouroboros reared back and swung one of its tentacles in Emil's path.

Sanos god-arc morphed into its flight-form and intercepted the tendril.

The inmate cut into the tentacle and continued through like he was splitting hair.

BAM!

BAM!

BAM!

Swing after swing Emil kept attacking the horn. Slowly but surely increasing the size of the previous crack.

After going halfway along the giant's arm, Sano bolted to the half-broken horn and kicked it off.

The Ouroboros' head vibrated again and let out a thunderous bellow. Its tentacles started wriggling as the Ouroboros' tendrils went swinging everywhere.

Emil raised his shield and activated his rocket attachment to endure the force.

Sano did the same but endured a barrage of 4 tentacles to Emils one. The inmate noticed the tendril he split from earlier was repairing itself.

Curious...

"(Are we both thinking the same thing right now?") Sano thought.

I believe so, get in there quick before the girl gets a big head.

Sano smirked as he saw a trail of exhaust loom overhead. With her spear in hand, Erina went straight for the Ouroboros' face.

The drill struck dead center. The force wasn't enough to put the Ouroboros on its back, but its whole head shook viciously.

Sano began hacking the tentacle arms, this time cutting them clean yard by yard. When the tentacle Emil was under was severed he switched his god-arc to its gun mode and pulled the handle back making something click.

After that, he flew off to the same horn he had been hammering at since the start. That crack was getting bigger and bigger.

The force of Erina's charge finally ebbed.

BLEEEEAAARRRRRGGGH!

If the giant wasn't angry before, it was now. It tried to swing its tentacles towards its face but was found to be disarmed by Sano long ago. All but one.

It followed Sano as he tried to back away and just when it was in range Sano slammed it with the side of his buster-blade. Its current trajectory was now to a shock trap.

The giant aragami was now frozen stiff. Leaving even more room for the god-eaters.

Emil's efforts were finally rewarded. The cracks revealed the blue oracle energy underneath the skin. One more mighty swing and the horn was finally unbound.

The creature couldn't even scream from the pain.

Erina's spear was still in its released state, and she wasted no time pushing her attack.

"OSCAR, RESONATE!" Erina unleashed a red flurry. Stab after stab she poked away at the Ouroboros' flesh, revealing the layers of oracle cells underneath. By the time the stun-lock was finally over, its face looked like a caved-in sculpture.

It only had one visible eye left.

Erina's red assault ended with a quick devour. The beast's last eye was chewed up by Oscar. As her spear receded, Erina entered burst status. She was still exhausted, however.

"POLARSTERN DEVOUR!" Emil flew in above Erina and had his god-arc get a big mouth-full of the Ourboros' head.

He entered burst status and proceeded to grab Erina away from the giant. Sano nodded to Emil as he flew on his hammer.

Ya know for a giant it seems like a real pushover.

"(Wait for it.)" Sano thought.

The Ouroboros raised a knee and stomped standing taller. Its tremors were felt for miles, as it stood to its full height. Tall as a mountain was a pretty accurate description of an Ouroboros.

Oh, that is a BIG BOY!

Sano's shadow was covered entirely. Like it never existed.

The Ouroboros regrew its severed tentacles and plunged all 4 of its arms into the ground, like tethers.

Despite not having a face, Energy surged and charged around its head. No visible eyes, but the beast seemed to have a target. The oracles cells visible on its former face stirred immensely.

Despite all these factors, Sano stood his ground. He knew the beast could target Erina and Emil, for all he knew it could be aiming to destroy them all. The inmate steeled his nerves and only had one thing to say.

"KANON!!!!" Sano shouted.

In the far back still behind the trap line, Kanon was given the aragami bullets stored by Emil and Erina, enabling her Burst Status level 3.

Emil's god-arc also seemed to be hooked up to Kanon's own. Kota smirked as he held two empty containers that said O-Ampule.

The giant fired a bigger beam than any it had already. The size difference couldn't compare.

"YOU WANT A PIECE OF THIS!!!!!? WELL, HERE IT HERE ISSSSS!!!" Kanon screamed as she fired her own ray. The scrunchy that bound her hair came undone.

A streak of red left the nozzle and met the laser head-on.

The impact was subtle, but neither had an advantage.

However, Kanon's bullet grew bigger.

The red beam inched.

It grew bigger.

The red beam pushed on.

It grew bigger.

The size difference was becoming more apparent.

The more Kanon's bullet went on, it just kept getting bigger.

And bigger

And bigger...!?

GOOD, GOD!!!!

The beam of the Ouroboros was overtaken and the red beam plowed its face.

The red streaks pushed through its cranium, removing the upper half.

When red dust settled, the Ouroboros was still.

It took one step. It took another swaying slightly. Its balance was non-existant.

TIMBERRRR

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!

The beast fell forward, stumbling into the trap at Kanon's feet, head-first.

With or without the Ouroboros would never move after this.

Kanon placed her god-arc right into the remains of its skull.

"Say cheese!" Kanon said sadistically.

One pull of the trigger and the bullet melted through the throat. The overall body began glowing and the blue oracle cells within changed color to purple.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!

The only things that remained were its lower half and the core at Kanon's feet.
