Mana Reserve!

Materializing in Alucard's left hand was a great ice sword; the frozen sword looked barbaric and wild, with edges sharper than a normal sword and an icy air billowing out of it.

Lucy momentarily freezes on her steps as she sees the sword. 'This quick? Can he silent cast?'

A few minutes before the fight started, Alucard had studied a low-tier ice spell he received from his soul book. After carefully studying the spell, he discovered that he could create any weapon using ice.

And after following the steps, his first weapon, the frozen sword, appeared rather swift, stunning the ghost girl, who had initially calculated that it would take Alucard a few days to learn any magic spells.

'Seems like he is pretty talented after all.' With those thoughts, a similar ice sword also appeared in Lucy's grasp.

Making a slash of her own, the two clashed.

However, there was a clear winner as Alucard was tossed several feet and skidded across the field. Once the vampire was up on his feet again, he glanced at his sword.

The ice sword now has a series of cracks racing along it, and it appears as if it will shatter soon.

"Seems like you're not just bitchy." Alucard nodded as he gripped the sword tighter, then the crack seemingly disappeared.

"And it seems like you're too weak for this goddess." A seductive smirk could be seen on Lucy's face as she casually tossed the ice sword at Alucard.

Seeing the sword darting towards him, Alucard briskly jumped out of the way, but it was then that he discovered something.

The sword changed trajectory, and it was now charging at him.

If he hesitated even for another second, no doubt the sword would pierce him, so Alucard began to rack his brain on how to counter the fast-approaching sword.

A large frozen shield appeared out of thin air, and using the shield, the vampire parried the missile-like sword.

BANG!

"Are you trying to kill me?" Alucard yelled from behind the giant shield, which was as tall as his 6'2 height.

"Not really, but along those lines," Lucy screamed back as several icy spikes similar to what Siena had done rained down on Alucard.

"This is harder than thought." His brain was constantly imagining the next weapon he could create, which was a tedious job to do in the middle of the fight. Despite that, however, a certain ghost didn't look like someone who cared about the multi-tasking his brain was performing.

"Okay, let's try something different." Thanks to Lucy hovering in the air, the ice spikes were still a bit far away but they were now gradually approaching at the speed of light.

At that moment, when the spikes appeared, a smirk appeared on Alucard's face.

Then a huge icy roof pops out just about the vampire's head, blocking all the spikes.

"Good, very good, but your mana will run out about now...."

Just as Lucy finished speaking, the massive ice sheet turned into a puddle of water.

Alucard tried to cast another spell, but there was nothing, almost as if he didn't have magic in the first place.

"What was all that for? I thought we'd only train sword fighting."

"I was thinking of doing that, but it changed my mind. I figure the old Alucard is good with the sword thanks to Muna, so I decided to teach you how to multitask and think fast." In her speech, Lucy casually shot an ice bullet at Alucard.

The vampire caught a glimpse of the bullet from the side of his eyes, and twisting his body to the left, he successfully dodged the bullet. However, another bullet was approaching from the side he had ducked to. Alucard tried evading it as well, but for some reason, his body won't move.

Shutting his eyes, Alucard waited for the bullet to pierce him; contrary to what he expected, he felt a chilly liquid on his face.

"You see? That's what I'm talking about. If you could think fast and react in a fight, you'd have the upper hand in any battle. But you... your thinking speed and reaction are pretty average."

Although vampires were probably the fastest race in Freya when it came to speed, they were not invisible, and their speed would be practically useless in front of someone who could think and react faster than them.

Lucy knew all this, so she was trying to teach Alucard how to think and react faster; then, coupled with his vampire speed, he'll be golden when facing other races.

"I see, so you did all those ice attacks for me to think and react fast?"

"Exactly, but in the meantime, let's wait for your mana to replenish."

"And how long will that take?" Alucard felt excited to fight; who wouldn't? Especially those from Earth who had always fantasized about using magic and performing other supernatural feats.

While it might be impossible for those back on earth, it was now possible for Alucard, and he wanted to grasp this opportunity and improve himself as much as he could.

"Your mana would take about 30 minutes to replenish."

"Is there a way for me to increase my mana reserve? "Won't it be a headache if I continue to run out of mana in the middle of a fight?"

He couldn't possibly tell his opponent to wait for him in the middle of a fight for his mana to fill up again, though he could use his vampire skills in the meantime, who wouldn't want to spew countless magical attacks?

After a moment of silence, Lucy spoke:

"I think that's where your lust elements come in. By strength, Lucifer actually meant your mana, I think."

Alucard wanted to ask a question, but then his soul book popped out, and as he stared at it, some strange text was shown.

[Lust element: the bearer of the elements could increase his or her mana reserves by having sex with magical beings. When you consummate with someone with high mana reserves, your mana reserve will increase drastically. The opposite for beings with low mana reserves. Additionally, you could also steal mana and add it to your reserve]

"So this means if I have high mana reserves, I can never run out of magical spells?" Alucard glanced at Lucy, whose cheek bloomed with redness.

He was having a perverted thought…no doubt!
