Inheritor Of The Strongest Curse

"I mean, look at this world, filled with weak beings. I could recreate this world but destroy it—it would be a massacre," he yelled and continued laughing. -------------------- One minute, he was chased by bullies, and the next, he was hit by a truck... That's where Jack's problem began. Instead of remaining dead, he woke up as a Hollow. Not an ordinary Hollow, but one that wants to rule humanity as slaves. 'It will be a massacre.' His inherited curse attracts more danger compared to newly arriving souls. For him to survive in this world that wants him dead, Jack must either accept the darkness of the curse or rid himself of it, if he survives. -------------- (Chapter 02) "Let's take you to the Hollow world now. There's someone you gotta see," said Derek. A purple, dark portal materialized in front of them, but as Diva was about to step in, they all witnessed an unexpected turn of events. "I'm not going in there," replied Jack, his voice changed, colder and more dead than before. "Pardon?" asked Derek, Avatar already forming a fist with a smile. "Hehehe... hehehe... bwahaha..." Jack continued laughing menacingly until he spoke again, this time yelling and spreading his hands out like a king, a sinister grin etched on his face. "I mean, look at this world, filled with weak beings. I could recreate this world but destroy it—it would be a massacre," he yelled and continued laughing. His eyes widened in joyous discovery of a weak world, his grin widening, but suddenly, he stumbled backward, and another voice was heard. "Ouch... Sort of blacked out just now," said Jack.

:The Voice, Curse and Inheritor

"Nope, nothing much, just in time for me to exorcise you by orders," said the spike-haired hollow with satisfaction.

His statement caused Jack to stumble backward momentarily; his eyes widened as if he had seen a ghost.

In his explanation, Derek omitted part of all this. As there were allies, there were also cursed ones; these ones are purely evil.

But the chances of becoming a curse are little to none, which is why he failed to say anything about it. If Jack is still in human form, he isn't a formless hollow but rather a curse.

"H...how?" Derek's lips vibrated upon this discovery, while Avatar walked past him with a grin.

"But I wasn't a formless hollow."

Jack stumbled backward with each step Avatar took coming closer.

"Hehe, oh you're one alright, something I'm glad of. Time to exorcise you."

Jack's eyes widened once more, and boom, Avatar dashed forward, closing the gap. He punched out tremendously with a grin, however.

"Exorcise? I've heard that fucking word before."

Jack held his wrist, blocking the punch inches from his face. Definitely, this wasn't Jack but the curse. He spoke again.

"You're one of those bastards that sealed me away. I'll start my revenge with you."

"Ka... Boom."

At a display of resilience, he effortlessly flipped Avatar above his head and slammed him against the ground, erupting rocks in mid-air.

Next, he followed with a punch to crush Avatar's skull. Boom. However, he missed since the opponent had dodged and left only maximum damage to the ground.

"Suddenly you're running? I thought I saw a smile on you a while ago .... Oh yes, because you were facing this body's weak owner. Well, come face me."

The curse yelled the last four words louder than ever, shattering the glasses as Avatar dashed at him again.

One punch, two punches, many punches—none was able to hit the curse. "Bwahaha... hehehe, too weak," until the curse swept Avatar off his feet and immediately wanted to smash his skull against the ground.

Boom.

But he missed again. The bleeding spike-haired boy got lucky once more. The battle had barely begun, but he was already in mishap, breathing heavily and bruised.

"Sigh.... You still haven't figured it out yet. I'm no hollow, I'm a curse.... Only curses are strong enough to kill curses. So... Maybe you should-"

Curse was unable to complete his words, as Avatar had zoomed in. Nonetheless, he was defeated again.

"Bastards, give... Give me a hand," yelled Avatar to Derek and Diva, the bystanders not knowing what to do.

"Please do... This one is barely a thing to start revenge with."

Boom. At last, Avatar finally landed a hit by twisting his body from the ground and smashing his feet against curse's jaw.

"Bwahaha.... Bwehehe.... Bwehaheha, your first hit was barely noticeable," said curse, grinning wider, as he rose his head up.

"Swoosh."

He caught Avatar's knifed palm inches from the sides of his face and cracked, broke those fingers followed by a painful scream. Then, curse dipped his hand inside Avatar's chest.

Widening Avatar's eyes, blood increasing from his mouth. But for curse, he was smiling. Touching the substance inside this hollow's body was pretty astonishing.

Anytime he squeezed it, the output of blood would increase. And then, he thought.

"What happens if I remove it?" said curse, Avatar already knowing it was over, though he tried escaping with his other hand, trying to push out the unwavering palm of curse.

(Stop... You'll kill him.)

From nowhere, a sound loud enough to get their attention was heard—a familiar voice, Jack's voice.

"Eh... You can talk?"

(Fuck yes, it's my body and I've been watching you... Don't kill this guy, he's a good guy.)

"Eh? Good guy? He tried killing you, boy, which I would have allowed if we weren't somehow linked."

(Well... If you kill him, then I'll kill us.)

The open conversation between them surprised not just Derek and Diva, but also Avatar did not expect Jack would do something like this for him.

"Bluffing... Either way, if I let him live, he'll kill you, which I would have allowed if-"

(Yes, I know, but he won't kill me... Now hand off him or I'll kill us both.)

Curse stared into the eyes of the fearsome Avatar. Besides, this wasn't counting as revenge, so he withdrew his hand as Avatar fell on his knees bleeding.

And in the next seconds, curse stumbled backward.

"Bitch... Have a turn getting chained up," said Jack.

Diva sprinted towards the bleeding hollow and offered a purple liquor in a little bottle, which he hesitated before gulping down.

In an instant, his body healed and glowed green. He stood up as if nothing ever happened and walked towards Jack, placing a palm on his shoulder.

"Thank you."

With that, he opened a purple portal and walked in before it closed, leaving the silent area for the trio to sort things out.

"Sooo..."

The silence, which was broken by Jack the moment he left. Derek had nothing to say; he was still wordlessly staring at his little B.

"I don't think taking you to the hollow world is the best idea anymore. Now that you're not a formless one but a curse."

Derek said the word curse with a heavy heart and sighed. "You could get killed quickly; you don't just have formless hollows to deal with there, but curses, which are far stronger for you to handle."

"But if he stays in this world for too long, he will die," Diva pointed out the cut part. "Stay more than two months, you're dead."

"Great, there's always consequences for every little thing. You said if I grow stronger then it could ward them off."

Without words, Derek began walking towards the direction of their home. "It's getting late; we'll come up with something after school," said Derek, hands tucked in as he walked on.

While Diva had already disappeared into the night, Jack sighed and sprinted to catch his brother's distance.

"So while I'm here, I'll be safe?"

"Not really. Hollows linger around in both worlds; curses barely have time for newly arriving souls, unless it's unfinished business."

----------------------

Meanwhile...

An enigmatic figurine adorned in black, sitting on top of a building behind the moon, stares at the two brothers as they walked away.

"So after 100 years, some weak mortal has finally inherited his curse. So brother is back to have revenge; I guess this would make it the 101st count where I kill his inheritor. Hehe...

Indeed, brother, this would be a massacre."

Said the enigmatic figurine and poof, exploded into black smoke that faded almost soon.
