The Engagement

Looking at her reflection in full length mirror inside her room, Ingrid indeed have everything that men will go after her. She's like a goddess, from her angelic face, down to her perfect body that covered with a maroon fitted dress, and a black heels. she looks so simple yet beautiful.

She laughed sarcastically while looking at herself, "I should run away!" she said angrily.

Hours later will be her engagement with the person she doesn't know. One month ago, her father told her that she will going to marry the son of his boss. For almost one month she tried to run away, she tried to talk to that guy but her father didn't allow her. He even put so many guards around their house just to make sure that she'll never run away.

Ingrid looked around and the glass door of veranda caught her attention, "I'll run away" she composed herself and walked towards the glass door.

She smirked when it opens and went to the railings, only to found out that there's almost 10 men in black roaming around.

"Bullshit!" she said and gritted her teeth.

She went inside and took her phone, when the caller answered the call, she speak "Help me! call all this freaking guards! I need to run away!"

"Huh? guards? run away?" Izo, her half step brother on the other line confused.

"Yes! you know that i don't want to be engaged " she rolled her eyes even though his brother won't see it.

So stupid as ever!— she said through her mind

"I know that, I know. But Dad will get mad at you" Izo said worriedly.

Even if Ingrid is only his half step sister, he loves Ingrid more that his life. Even though Ingrid did nothing good to him, she always shout at him, she always put Izo into danger.

"I don't care! I want my freedom!" She shouted.

"Okay, I'll do it." Izo hang up the call.

Ingrid just hoping that Izo will do it, and hoping that she can run away before everyone's invited are here, in the first floor of this house.

She sat down on bed looking at her hand that she intertwined because of nervous.

On the other hand, Izo start walking towards the guard house to call all the guards that is roaming and guarded the house— Ingrid's room.

He really love his sister, even him don't want Ingrid to be engaged, she just graduated from college. She's still young and need to be free.

Supposedly his the one who should married but his father's boss don't have daughter so, his father thought that Ingrid is perfectlt fit to his boss family.

When finally all the guards are there in guard's house or guards quarter, he just say something and left.

Ingrid is now carefully went down, she didn't use the door because she knows that a lot of maids are there.

She used the blangket as his ladder to get down, and when she feel his feet at the ground she looked around.

A smile form from her face, Brother really don't disappoint me— she though.

Ingrid went to the nearest tree, at the back of their house. She go up there and looked around, Ingrid saw his brother worriedly looking at her.

She just smile to assure Izo that she'll be fine and mouthed 'Thank you'. Izo just smiled back even though he's worried, and then nod.

That's the sign that Ingrid can finally run away, before jumping down to run away, Ingrid once again give Izo a smile and mouthed 'I love you so much' and she form her hand to a heart shape.

Ingrid do really love his brother, she just can't show it to everyone, she think that everyone will used it to control her, they'll used that as her weakness.

She jumped down and the hectares full of grass welcomed her.

She gasped, thinking that what if there's so many snake her? She shook her head and start running.

For almost a half hour running at the grass, Ingrid stopped when she heard the alarm of that house.

"Sh*t they'll going to find me!" Nervousness filled her sistem in an instant.

—after Ingrid jumped down—

Izo felt his heart hurts a bit, he's worried for Ingrid. Where his sister will go? is she will be okay?

He just went in and go upstairs, Izo's feeling is not well. He lay down on the bed and closed his eyes.

Half hour had passed when he heard noises, everyone is panicking because one of the maids figured out that Ingrid is not at her room.

When he heard the alarm, he stood up and went downstairs. He saw his father's controlling his anger.

"Find her 30 minutes before the engagement starts!" His father shouted.

"What'd happening here?"

All of them eyes widened when they saw the person enterted the house and stand aside from his father.

This can't be!

Can please anyone wake me from this nightmare? — Izo said through his mind.
