Hael's attempt to stop the groan of pain failed as his lips forcefully parted, and he let out a scream that shook the entire pod from the power and made the Vice-Chancellor and the staff immediately snap their attention to the pod.
"Is that coming from Hael?" Mr. Scott asked in slight shock.
While the Bloodline Purification undergoers are expected to go through pain, it wasn't really a massive amount of pain, but in essence, like someone running on hot coals.
It would hurt but not too massively to elicit such a reaction, and the pain was supposed to be gradual.
Yet the pod had barely been functional for five minutes, and such a loud scream could be heard.
That could normally be taken as a sign of the person undergoing the test to have a very weak bloodline, but the case is weird knowing well it was Hael, the new dark horse of the academy that is in it.
