Minister Of Science

Finally there were no remaining important topics. The meeting slowly approached its end.

The hawk and dove factions among the ministers maintained a physical distance between their respective camps until the end. Even after the meeting came to a close, they never approached the opposing group.

Then the ministers all left the room one by one. The robot representative controlled by OIS powered down as well.

With that, the cabinet meeting was officially over.

As I was walking ever deeper into the underground HQ structure to reach my personal office, I suddenly received a message.

Looking at the sender, I could only give up on delaying to answer.

No matter what, they were still someone who in some ways outranked me in their importance for our colony. It was certainly someone I couldn't afford to avoid meeting when summoned.

After being summoned, I had altered the direction of my trek through the HQ. My personal office was rather close to the room where the cabinet meeting was held, but my new destination was back on the surface of Kulak.

I was asked to visit the Ambassador of Valdium. Their residence was the Embassy of Valdium that was conveniently located close to our HQ. It was an old-fashioned yet luxurious manor that Valdium had constructed for their diplomats over a century ago. Some might consider it wasteful, though, since it had been occupied by only one person for many decades now.

But suddenly in my thoughts I was encountered by someone who was quite familiar to me, " Hello, thanks for having my back Sir Q!"

The Minister of Science surprisingly appeared out of nowhere and just started thanking me, "The other Ministers always look down on me because I'm young, but you always had my back since day one!!!" The Minister of Science claimed, a bit too loudly

" Would you please quiet down, you're being unprofessional, Susie" I said, the annoyance in my voice is clear.

"Aww come on! why are you always like a douchebag, you're no fun! huff!" she says and lets out a little huff.

A lot of people always wondered why a girl with such childish personality became a Minister, it's because she was a prodigy in her academy and exceeded everyone's expectations, she might act dumb while she's around me but she the smartest out of the Minsters and she is only second to The Minister of Defense on combat capabilities.

In her academy she passed all her exams with an SSS mark, her exams include: Combat classes, Science, Astrology, Equivalent Development. She was special and being so young she was even able to surpassed the best of the best at her age

The Academy she was in was special, the second best in the galaxy, the Mentors were left in awe from her brilliance in almost every department. She was so good that she didn't even finish the Semester but instead, graduated right away.

The higher-ups knew that they needed the best of the best to be able to handle the situation they were in, and since Susie was so good, she can improve any department with her unbelievable talent.

But there was still others that were better than her in terms of experience, even though the talent which she surpassed everyone at currently was the Science Department, She is the master of the whole concept and know how to operate it to it's fullest potential even though she was lacking in experience, there was no one better than her at the moment.

Which made her what she is today, the Minister of Science.

"Well let's put unnecessary things aside, I know you're going to meet the Ambassador Of Valdium, so let's go!" she tried to take my hand and pull it so we can leave, but I shook it off.

"Are you serious, this is last time I'm telling you that this is meeting is classified, the Ambassador will think lowly of me if I bring someone along" I say, trying to keep that in her head

"Come On! I am a important you know! if you just once, JUST once let me join maybe I can truly understand our situation" she says with puppy dog eyes.

".... No." I say with a stern face, "this is important and I do not want to put unnecessary matters and 'people' into this meeting, so if you would excuse me." I say whileI turning around, leaving without letting her get a word in.

"Hey, come back here! Aww you're being unfair!!!" she exclaim, I can only hear a little because I was on my way, I was just focusing on what is going to happen in the drastic meeting with the Ambassador.
