Chapter 6.6 - Zenith - The Order of Stardust & The Lemniscate Society

Lala and I finally decided to make our move as we begin searching for the whereabouts of White as well as everyone else from the Administration Magic Class. To be honest, we don't have a single clue as to where these guys are at the moment. We tried looking every nook and cranny of our campus and to no avail at all. Our initial search took about an hour or so.

"There's no way we can find them without a single clue, Zenith." Lala sighed as she sits down on one of the stone benches near us.

I crossed my arms and told her, "Oh come on, Lala. Are you giving up already? We've only been doing this for an hour."

"I told you that without a single clue, White and the others could be anywhere right about now. They might not even be here in campus." she told me.

The two of us remained silent for a moment. I almost contemplated over what needs to be done at the current time. With no idea on where to look out for White, I felt like I almost wanted to cry. But that tear didn't appear as I was then interrupted by an approaching fairy.

"Zen! Lala!" It was Recordia.

She appears to be coming back from her reconnaissance from the sky.

"Anything new?" Lala asked.

Recordia nodded and said, "Recordia saw a suspicious person just outside of the campus."

"A suspicious person? What do you mean by that, Recordia?" I wondered.

She continued, "I've seen that suspicious person before this. It was during the time when those guys are trying to kidnap White."

"Kidnap White?!" Both Lala and I surprisingly exclaimed.

"It happened during the music festival last time. Recordia will explain..." she then tells us the story when both Lala and I were someplace else during that time.

Recordia then went on to describe about what happened during the music festival. So apparently White was about to be kidnapped by this unknown people until Lilith and Diane arrived and saved him. At the end of the day, we still don't know who these guys are aside from their name being Aqua Liquid and Gaia Granite and they are from an organization called The Order of Stardust.

"Why do you think they want to kidnap him?" Lala asked us.

I told her what I think, "They could be working with the Chaos Champions, I think." I looked at both of them with a curious look. "But then again, they don't look like they are associated with them at all."

Recordia then added, "Those guys are unrelated to the Chaos Champions we have encountered so far. But they do have some kind of connection in relation to the time when White ate the Infinitum Crystal."

So they have that kind of connection, huh? That's actually very far than I expected. According to White himself, he ate that Dragon Infinitum Crystal during his final high school year. It happened earlier that year. I don't really know the detail but apparently the crystal was given to him by someone he assumes he knows. He said it was his cousin but now he wonders again if it really was his cousin or was it only that he got confused over having the same family name as White. That guy was Cyclone Flash. I wonder what's all these correlates to.

"We don't have much time to dawdle around." Lala got up from the bench. "Bring us to him, Recordia."

Recordia nodded as the two of us followed her. We followed her until she finally stops right at the front gate of our campus. Recordia pointed us toward somewhere outside of the campus. Near a tree there, there is a small food stall. The owner of the stall was the one who Recordia was pointing at.

"That guy? But that's just a food stall guy." I told Recordia.

Recordia shakes her head, "Recordia is not mistaken. That is Aqua Liquid. He is not even trying to disguise himself."

"That could mean anything, really." assumed Lala. "We should approach this carefully."

But then I said, "Or maybe we can just go there and talk about it."

I nonchalantly walked toward the stall. Lala was in disbelief as she shakes her head. But she immediately followed me from behind.

"Excuse me, are you Aqua Liquid?" I asked the stall owner with full confidence.

The food stall was just like any other stall. Apparently this Aqua Liquid guy is selling fried chicken. He is still frying chickens from the looks of it.

The stall owner then responded, "Why, yes. Yes I am. Can I help you two?"

"Yes..." Lala nodded.

But then I went straight to the point, "Let's cut to the chase. Are you apart of The Order of Stardust? Did you guys tried to kidnap White and steal his abilities?"

"No pulling punches, are we? Well then, first of all..." He began to grab a couple of fried chicken from the fryer and puts it on a tray. "Yes, I am Aqua Liquid. Call me Liquid. And to make this quick, I'll just say yes to your questions."

"So it is true, huh." Lala understood. "But what are you doing here now? Are you spying? You look too suspicious right now."

Liquid gently laughed and said, "Well you got me there, ladies. But I'm not here to fight."

"Then what?" Lala sounded threatening.

"First of all, yes I am supposed to keep an eye on this campus. Most specifically, White. But apparently nobody seems to know where he is at right now."

"So you noticed as well?" I asked.

He nods, "You guys are probably looking for him. It's going to take a while but how about we speed things up."

"What do you mean?" wondered Lala.

Liquid then turned off his fryer and said, "I know where those guys went."

"You do?!" My eyes widened. "Where he is?"

Lala then interrupts, "Hold on, Zen. This could be a trap from them."

"Oh yeah..." My spirit went down.

Then Liquid shrugs and told us, "Alright then. Believe it or not, I'm not lying about White's location."

"We do need a clue, Lala." I tried to talk to Lala.

She sighed and shrugs, "I guess I can't beat you in this huh, Zen? You're so much different than you were when we first met."

"I guess so. A lot have happen." I looked down.

After that Liquid finally told us what we need.

Liquid crosses his arms and said, "Very well then, I'll tell you where he is. In fact, take out your phones. It'll be easier."

The two of us took out our phones. Liquid then took out his own phone and began transferring some data to ours. In a few moments later, we finally got a clue on where White could be hiding.

"From the look of this map..." Lala wondered. "It's not too far from here."

"I see." Then I turned to Liquid and asked, "How do you know where they are?"

"We have connections. It's not just me alone doing this you know. In fact, I'm only a small part in this entire thing. You guys play a bigger role than I am right now."

"What does that mean?" Lala grew suspicious. "Are you implying that there is something bigger than The Order of Stardust?"

Liquid responds, "I can't really confirm for sure but my best theory is that it's got to be something to do with The Lemniscate Society."

"The Lemniscate Society? What is that?" I was confused.

Lala then told me, "I think I've read something about that before. They are quite an interesting bunch if I do say so myself. Wanted criminals by the government."

"Criminals, huh? I guess that's what the media wants you to think." Liquid chuckled.

"So you know something about them?" Lala tried to press for an answer.

"I don't know, ladies." He shrugs. "As I said, I'm not apart of the society. But I do indirectly help them through our leader of course."

"Your leader..." I murmured to myself.

"Don't you guys have something important to do right now?" said Liquid.

I told Lala, "He's right. We don't have time to think about this society thing. It's not even related to the Chaos Champions. Let's go. Thank you, Liquid."

"Your welcome." He smiled.

We left Liquid on his own as we made our way to where White is hidden. In the meantime, Liquid seems to still smiling, but full of sinister.

He said to himself, "So it's called The Chaos Champions..." He chuckled, "Nova, you magnificent fool. Just what did he told you to do..."
