Chapter 50: Inner Disciple Trial Retake - Day 1
Wu Yan took a deep breath as he stepped into the inner disciple trial grounds. He couldn't believe he was back here again, but this time, he was determined to succeed.
The first day of the trial was a test of physical strength and endurance. The trial grounds were set up with various obstacles and challenges, and the inner disciples had to complete them within a given time frame.
Wu Yan looked around at his fellow disciples, some of whom he recognized from his previous attempt. They all seemed confident and focused, but Wu Yan knew that appearances could be deceiving.
As the trial began, Wu Yan ran towards the first obstacle, a high wall that he had to scale. He jumped up, grabbing onto the top of the wall and pulling himself up. He looked down and saw that some of the other disciples were struggling with this first challenge.
Feeling a surge of confidence, Wu Yan moved on to the next obstacle, a series of balance beams suspended over a pool of water. He stepped carefully, his muscles tense as he tried to maintain his balance.
As he crossed the beams, he heard the sound of splashing behind him. He turned around to see that one of the disciples had fallen into the water, eliminating himself from the trial.
Wu Yan continued on, completing each obstacle with a steady determination. He felt his muscles burning with exertion, but he pushed through the pain.
As the sun began to set, the first day of the trial came to an end. Wu Yan collapsed onto the ground, his chest heaving as he caught his breath. He looked around and saw that many of the other disciples had also finished, but there were a few who had been eliminated.
Wu Yan knew that he had done well, but he also knew that he couldn't let his guard down. He had four more days to go, and anything could happen.
