Auxiliary notes for readers

So a a lot of people have been questioning some of my decisions in this book and I decided to make them clear here. Why? Because no matter how many times I answer it in the comment section, those exact same questions pop up again.

Hai~ I made this book on a whim and now I have to pay for my crimes…

So I decided to do this. Questions that tend to continuously pop up in the comment section would be answered here. I think it makes things better and easier for reference. Please keep it mind that there maybe spoilers, but not the dangerous kinds.

Let's begin.

1st FAQ : How do the players know a lot about the game already?

Answer: Now this is a really impressive question that I really really like. The answer is somewhat simple and somewhat difficult but it's quite long to explain. Here it is; Don't look at anything that happens in this book as you would with reality. This is based on the future; well my view of the future.

Unlike current games that tend to give an air of mysteriousness in other to attract peoples's attention, that stuff doesn't work much in the future. Why? Because there are a lot of amazing games that already have the people's attention. Why would they drop off all their records and achievements for something that sounds mysterious? VR gaming has been developed as a profession on par with most of the white collar jobs out there; people take it really serious here so they won't take unnecessary risks.

The developers of Infinite Realm(IR) want their game to be at the top. In other to do that, they have to attract most of the attention of the populace and the big guilds. The game has potential, true. But that is just potential. The producers have to give them(gamers) a reason why they(gamers) should drop their old games for theirs. As you should already know, if you have been following the book, IR isn't the current number 1 game(at the time that I'm writing this). That title goes to another game, Conquest. The producers of IR now want those gamers to migrate over to theirs but why would players suddenly abandon their current achievements in the number 1 game for a starter? Doesn't make f**king sense!

It would be long to explain but just know that VR gaming is really lucrative so people wouldn't take risks anyhow. Like for instance, a billionaire, with a lot of competitors in the business industry, wouldn't suddenly invest in Antarctica because someone suddenly said that there's a chance for an oil well to exist there. It's nothing but a chance and the risk are really high. He wouldn't just lose his money but even fall behind his competitors. But wouldn't it change if there was a bit more detailed information on the oil well?

So the developers had an idea. They released a bunch of information regarding IR to the public but in a discreet fashion. This information included weapons classification, levelling spots and a few other knowledge. There was no harm in doing this as the knowledge(apart from the rankings) only pertained to novice towns. Now this might sound silly to you but think deeper.

Ir already has massive potential; it was only a matter of time, give or take 3-5 years, before the game ranked as number 1. Now, with strategic information about novice towns released to the guilds, they would of course hurry over to make use of this knowledge and gain a solid foundation in the game. After all, knowledge is power.

An open secret is no longer a secret. Though the information was released discreetly at a price, it eventually reached everyone and so, most of the players hurried over to IR. After all, it already had massive potential and with good info regarding the novice level, players could hurry over to gain a foundation. Solo players, guilds, associations, clubs, even those who didn't have any presence in other VR games. As long as they were all players, they hurried over to use this knowledge and fight for a piece of the cake.

So know, you should understand why the game already has a bunch of information. As for why the developers of IR are in a hurry to rank at the top, that's a secret~

Remember, don't judge the decisions made here with how things are done in reality. These are literally two different worlds.

2nd FAQ : The plot seems forced.

Answer : yes, cause it is! Sometime back and even till now, I always tell you guys that this book is my first work and so, a writing experiment. I just wanted to get the hang of writing in other to perfect one of my other works. So even if the plot seems forced to you or not, please enjoy it. Otherwise, I don't really care. Lol

3rd FAQ : Too many errors.

Answer: Don't blame me please~ I don't use MS word but another software and compared to MS word, this software is really terrible. It can't even spot grammatical errors for example; "it is good" and "is is good". It sees these two sentences as correct sentences.

I know my release might be slow at times but this is because I have both school and work. Over here, classes could start from 6am to 6pm depending on our lecturers and class representative but on average is from 7am to 4pm. So you can imagine my stressful life.
