Dark Chi
As the sun dipped below the western horizon, its fading light cast a violet hue. After preparing themselves, Renxian and Kirisu descended, making their way to the central village area where the Weishi headquarters was situated. The hunt for the monster that had devoured the blueberries had survived for a week.
Clad in the loose blue hanfu supplied by Renxian, Kirisu concealed her horns beneath a veil. A cheerful hum accompanied her improved mood, her steps light and lively, reminiscent of someone joyfully jumping up and down.
"Can't you get rid of those horns?" Renxian opened his voice, raising a question he wanted to ask. "I mean Meagu didn't have her fox ears when in human form."
"The simple answer is because humans did not have horns," still cheerfully, the woman answered. "Every aspect of our beast from transformed to human, but, as humans didn't have horns, mine stays."
