Race Against Time

Evan knew he needed a beast, but he wasn't ranked yet so thought it would be best to start with something small. He was so fast that there wasn't anything in the forest that he couldn't catch so he decided to start with a squirrel. They seemed easy enough and they were one of the few animals that would come close to the mansion so they couldn't be too scared of him.

It only took a few seconds to find a squirrel, they had a small but distinct energy signature that he had seen a million times over the past 3 years. He spent the next 2 months catching squirrels and trying to establish a mind link. Each time he felt like he was getting close the squirrel would faint. If he couldn't establish a mind link fast enough the squirrel was either fainting from fear or fighting so hard, they exhaust themselves.
