The sun had already risen high above LA by the time Aaron Sanders finally stirred from his deep slumber. The luxurious bedding enveloped him in warmth and comfort, but he couldn't shake the feeling of emptiness that had settled in his chest. For the first time in a while, he was completely alone. Sally had left for her flight back home, and though their farewell had been sweet, the silence that followed was deafening.
