Chapter 59: Checking into the Elite Hotel

Harvey had no idea that the bounty hunters at the bar were getting all worked up over nothing. With his universal translator now in hand, communicating had become much easier.

After leaving the bar, Harvey quickly asked around and learned about the most famous hotel in Xandar: the Elite Hotel. When he arrived, he took a moment to gaze at the towering structure, at least seventy stories high, before stepping inside.

The grand lobby was adorned with several beautiful women, either standing or sitting in the luxurious space. Harvey's presence, carrying a mysterious and imposing aura, caught their attention immediately.

Before any of them could make a move, the closest woman—a young lady with a sweet, innocent look—approached him.

"Sir, are you here to meet someone?" she asked politely.

"No, I'm here to book a room," Harvey replied with a slight shake of his head.

"May I ask which room you've reserved, sir?" the woman inquired.

"I don't have a reservation. I'm here to stay, though," Harvey responded.

The young woman, still maintaining her professional demeanor, bowed slightly before continuing. "I apologize, sir, but according to our policy, reservations are required before check-in. I'm afraid we'll need you to book a room in advance."

Harvey frowned slightly. "No reservation means no room?"

She quickly bowed again, offering a respectful apology. "I'm truly sorry if this causes any inconvenience, sir. However, if you wish to bypass the reservation process, you can check in by paying upfront for a month's stay—300,000 units."

Her words were careful, but she continued, "I can see you're new to Xandar, sir. Perhaps you're just visiting? If you're only staying for a short while, I would suggest making a reservation, which would allow you to pay for just the days you need without spending more than necessary."

Harvey, having heard her explanation, visibly relaxed. "Then I'll stay for a month."

The woman was briefly taken aback by his straightforwardness, but she quickly regained her composure, flashing a professional smile. "Very well, sir. Please follow me to complete the registration and payment."

Harvey followed her through the opulent lobby to the front desk, where she tapped a panel, causing a holographic screen to appear. "Please fill in your details and process the payment, sir. After that, I'll escort you to your room."

Harvey completed the form with his alias—Kassadin—and paid the bill without a second thought.

"Welcome, Mr. Kassadin. Your room is 7777. Please allow me to show you the way," the woman said, her smile widening as she led him away.

Harvey nodded slightly and followed her.

"My name is Sonia, Mr. Kassadin. Please forgive any earlier misunderstanding. I'll take a moment to explain some of the features of the Elite Hotel," Sonia began as they stepped into the elevator. She punched in the code for the 77th floor as she continued, "We offer all-inclusive dining—breakfast, lunch, and dinner—with a different menu every day. You can also enjoy afternoon tea with special treats."

She gave a charming smile. "We host a monthly gala, where you might meet someone special or make valuable connections. Now, would you prefer your meals delivered to your room, or would you like to dine in the gourmet area?"

"I'll take my meals in the room. And send up dinner for two hundred," Harvey said, casually throwing out the number as though it was completely normal.

Sonia blinked, clearly caught off guard by the order. Two hundred servings? She was starting to regret being the one who had approached him.

"Sir, I must inform you that if you over-order and fail to finish your meals more than three times, we will have to charge you an additional fee," she said, forcing a polite smile despite her growing anxiety.

This particular policy worried her—if Kassadin continued ordering excessively and refused to pay, the cost might be deducted from her wages.

"Don't worry about it. If I break the rule, I'll pay the extra fee. Also, this isn't a one-time request. Whenever I ask for food over the next month, make sure to bring enough," Harvey replied calmly.

With that reassurance, Sonia sighed in relief. "Thank you for clarifying, sir. I'll make sure your meals are always ready as requested."

The elevator chimed, and they stepped out onto the 77th floor. The area they entered was an air-bubble villa, suspended high above the city. Encased in transparent crystal walls, the villa offered a panoramic view of Xandar's skyline.

"Mr. Kassadin, this air villa is yours for the next month. You'll have full control over it. However, there are two important things to note," Sonia began, her voice professional. "First, subletting the villa to others is strictly forbidden. If we find out you've done so, your payment will be forfeited, and you will be asked to leave. Second, any damage to the villa will be charged to you for repair or replacement."

She smiled again. "Other than that, you're free to invite whomever you wish. I hope you enjoy your stay here. If you need anything, just contact me via the AI system. No matter the time, I'll be there to assist you as quickly as possible."

Harvey gave a small nod. "Understood. Now, get my food ready."

With a final bow, Sonia excused herself. "Of course, sir. Your food will be delivered shortly."

Once alone, Harvey began exploring the villa. Despite its height, he could only feel a gentle breeze—not the strong winds one might expect at such an altitude. The villa boasted every luxury imaginable: fully automated appliances, a private pool, a bar, exquisite art pieces, and top-tier entertainment systems.

Beyond the main living area, a transparent crystal bridge led to an outdoor garden. From there, Harvey could gaze at the stars above or look down on the bustling city below. It was the perfect spot for impressing guests—particularly any potential female companions.

He smirked. This was going to be a very comfortable month.
