Dantai approached Lieutenant Colonel Pang Ke, lowered his voice, and began to negotiate. Everybody had their own desires, so Dantai deliberately exposed his intentions, posing as if seeking protection to lower Pang Ke's guard.

"My squad has two hundred 'Scavengers'. If you guys can defeat Lieutenant Parker, I can give you one each. But you will have to serve as the vanguards and help me attack a queen's base." Pang Ke gritted his teeth and made a hefty offer. Taking down a base would yield a vast amount of supplies and prestige. Given that the commander was already in his sixties and wouldn't live for much longer, Pang Ke also had his eyes on the coveted position of power.
