An Unexpected Worker

"What?"

"As you heard sir, please hire me as your maid, you don't have to pay me, I have to pay you back!" Mery fell to her knees and began to beg. Almost 2 weeks had passed since she had woken up and she had made incredible progress in tending the garden or cleaning up after herself. On top of that, the spirital qi in the garden was so strong and high-level that it was getting stronger every second she stood here, on top of that, every vegetable in the garden, from tomatoes to potatoes, gave her an incredible amount of spirital qi, and every time she ate, dozens of years of qi were added to her body.

On top of that, Nalin had said that she would teach her sacred beast arts as long as she stayed here. In front of her was a master she could respect, behind her was a teacher she could learn from, and around her was a perfect garden where she could flourish endlessly. It was definitely a place she would not want to leave.

"I only saved your life, I didn't mean to take you with me." Mery looked incredibly disappointed when Admon said this, I think she should have given up.

Just then, Nalin appeared and started rubbing against Admon's leg as usual. Admon was trying to figure out why his little cat was being so cute and was very confused and trying to process what had happened.

"What's the matter Nalin, don't you want her to go away?" Admon bent down and picked Nalin up and at that moment he saw the eyes of the little cat, at that moment his thoughts softened and Admon said "but if you look at me with those eyes, I can't resist you...".

He stroked the cat and looked at Mery, who was looking at the floor, incredibly sad. After a few seconds, she sighed deeply and then said, "Well, you can be my maid."

Hearing these words, Mery suddenly stood up and began to bend and rise continuously. She was very happy that she would be staying with the person who had saved her life, and that she would enjoy many benefits. Not to mention the fact that someone as powerful as Admon had accepted her. She was absolutely delighted.

"Thank you very much, sir, I swear I will be the best servant." As Mery said this, Admon suddenly raised his hand and told her to be quiet, then pointed to the gazebo in the garden and made it clear that they should sit there. 

Admon was in front, with Nalin on his lap and Mery in the back, while Vered was busy sleeping.

Once the trio were seated in the gazebo, Admon took a small piece of cake he had made earlier from his inventory and placed it on the table, then said, "There are rules you must learn before you can live here."

Mery nodded her head to indicate that she understood, while observing the enormous aura emanating from the cakes on the table. The cakes were officially presenting a stronger aura than the one her father had shown her in her training, and it made her heart flutter. 

"Silence first, you have to be quiet." Admon had made his condition clear, he was here to rest and now that he had free will he could easily set the rules.

"After that, you must be as careful as possible with the things around you. No unprovoked damage." Admon smiled as he said this and added, "And lastly, know that this is your home and no matter what you do or how you do it, it will always be your home."

Mery could not help but be surprised when she heard this. She had never received love or affection from anyone in her life except her adoptive father and mother. Yes, no one hated her, but no one had ever tried to love her. Every single noble or normal monster left the area or pretended to be busy when she passed by. In short, she was all alone and this loneliness created a deep emptiness in her heart.

On top of that, as knights of the royal family, she was almost killed by bear warriors. Even if she was pretty sure that someone from the royal family had done it, the fact that Nalin and Vered were there meant that they already knew everything. Every single creature that had tried to kill her must have died, and if no one from the royal family had died, that meant that no one was guilty.

Mery put her hands together and bowed her head as tears began to fall from her eyes and said, "Thank you very much, my great lord." Nalin was surprised to hear her say that, so surprised that he thought to ask, "She doesn't want to die, does she?"

"You don't have to worry, I only told you these rules to tell you that I accept you, and I had no intention of accepting you if Nalin didn't want me to. So if you want to thank someone, here is the person to thank." After saying these sentences, Admon gently lifted Nalin into the air and handed him to Mery. While Mery did not know what to do, she suddenly heard a voice in her mind:

"Take me! Hold me now!"

This voice belonged to Nalin, and even if she was not angry, she still churned in Mery's mind as if giving orders, and hearing these words, Mery took Nalin from Admon with a speed like the top speed of a dragon.

"This is your home, never, ever forget that, okay? You don't have to worry, you are safe now, no one can hurt you here, maybe one of the immortal cultivators because I am not that strong, I guess." Admon said this in a mocking manner and after handing the cakes to Mery, he got up from the table and started walking back towards the house. Just as he was about to enter the house, he said, "Oh! Before I forget, I'll leave the garden to you, I'm busy inside the house."

Admon didn't know at that moment what was going on in the world or how much attention he was getting. Even if in his mind he was just resting, in reality all eyes on the continent were on him and the future was being written under his actions.
