Chapter 2 Gloria

"This is fantastic; this is the best." Dick roared as he stared at his virtual screen. "System, how can I increase proficiency and level up?" he asked excitedly.

Groaning in pain, he tried to stand up, but he fell back into the bed with his entire body aching as he hissed in pain.

[Host, you still haven't heard about how to obtain points or use your emergency healing. The emergency healing would restore your body to its best condition, which you can use when you are about to go to sleep because you wouldn't be able to move during the process.

The mechanical voice of Hymen beeped in Dick's head again, as if it were comforting for the pain he just felt.

"How can I gain points?" Dick asked curiously as he waited for the system's response.

[You gain points when you use your abilities or complete system missions, which would be issued based on circumstances and choices.]

Dick grinned as he started to imagine how he would start to live a life he had always imagined. "All the women and people would bow before me now," he reasoned to himself as his mind wandered off.

Remembering how he was beaten to death, he clenched his hands as he resolved to get back at all who had wounded him in one way or another. He would start with that bully who had the effrontery to scream when he was peeking at her.

Subtly, he failed to realize how his personality was changing and becoming more confident in himself and his abilities. As the Inevitable Psychic Pollution System activated in Dick Hymen's mind, a rush of newfound power surged through him. He couldn't believe his luck—the chance to rise to the top and exact vengeance on all those who had inflicted pain and suffering on the original owner of this body was finally within his grasp.

A sinister grin formed on Dick's face as the memories of the past bullied, beaten, and tormented boy fueled his desire for revenge. He had endured so much pain, and now it was time for those responsible to face the consequences.

"You thought you could break me, but now I have the means to break you. I'll show them what it feels like to be powerless and at the mercy of others," Dick muttered, his voice filled with determination and his eyes burning with a mixture of anger and triumph. He wanted to make each one of them pay, to make them understand the pain they had caused.

"Show me the current inventory; what can I use there currently, and how do I get the things inside?" he asked with an expectant face.

Dick smiled in happiness as he laid down to rest and also began using his new abilities.

A wave of tiredness washed over him as he felt his eyes close and fell into a deep sleep.

The chirping of the early morning birds woke Dick up.

He stretched out his hands in comfort, and he stood up to check himself in the reflection. His glossy black and perfect complexion was a charm to any girl who saw it. His amber eyes were bright and full of energy, adding flavor to his perfect facial features and toned body.

Dick grinned in happiness as he listened to the notification.

"Thank you for the emergency healing; I feel great. Use the LV1 Strengthening orb. Allocate all the free attributes between agility, spirit, health, and double to physique."

Feeling relieved, he quickly took a bath and hurried to the class.

The day went uneventfully as the routine went accordingly at the preliminary mage training academy, which was present in every town.

He was rather low-key since he didn't really have friends or talk much.

However, he decided not to attend classes until the evening. As he walked around the academy, trying to think about his next step without actually revealing himself. As he walked past his class, he noticed footsteps in the room. He peeked into the class and noticed Gloria packing her things while seeming to be lost in thoughts.

He felt a cold air blow on him as he remembered his unsuccessful attempt by the original body owner. Her hourglass figure indeed felt a lot mouthwatering as he felt himself grow hard again.

Grinning widely as he remembered how she looked at him disgustedly while he was being beaten, he clenched his fist. However, he held back a bit as he remembered that she was also skilled. He was always bullied by her and had never been a match for her in the past. He felt he needed to confirm her stats and know how to make sure he fulfilled all aspects of the mission.

Dick felt he was superior in all ways and walked into the class. He gingerly walked into the class and stood behind the teacher's table while backing the chalkboard. He gave a gloating smile at Gloria, who felt it was weird to see it in one piece after the beating he was given days ago.

He winked mischievously as he rubbed his hands on his chest insinuatingly as he smirked at her. Gloria suddenly felt it was weird with Dick's brain.

"How come this idiot is well again? It seems the beating the last time was really not enough," she muttered to herself.

Clenching her fist in anger as she saw Dick looking at her provocatively, she suddenly felt the need to release her day's tension on him. "I hope you are ready for what is coming at you now," she said with a smirk as she left her things and walked towards Dick menacingly.

Dick flinched backwards, an instinctive reaction of the former body. He steeled himself to finish this task while hoping that his backward movement would become bait for her.

"This is the last time you should interfere with my life. You are gone now. If I help you dominate her now, take it as all the rest of your resentment and leave," Dick muttered to himself as he felt he lost control of his body when Gloria started to walk towards him.

His body seemed to respond strangely in acquiescence. "Now, I have another reason why I can't lose," he said, smiling like a madman. Gloria paused for a second as she reached the corner of the teacher's table while looking like an idiot.

Noticing her brief loss of guard, Dick closed in on her and delivered a harsh slap to her face that resounded throughout the empty class. Surprised at his sudden boldness and action, she stayed stunned for seconds while her hands clasped her cheeks, which felt hot.

Her eyes grew red as she felt like a wounded beast. "You bastard, you are going to die," she roared as she grew hysterical.
