"You cheating bitch!" His father's voice thundered through their home. His pale blue eyes glanced at the door, which was half closed.

"Keep your voice down; he will hear you!" His mother hissed.

"I don't give a flying fuck if that brat of yours knows his mother is a cheating slut!"

"I understand you're angry with me, Reeve, but you don't need to call me or the child names just to make yourself feel better."

"The fuck you say, this is my house; I'll call that whinny little brat any damn thing I want. Don't like it; there's the fucking door!"

"Fine! I thought we could be civil about this, I guess I should have known better."

"What, and who allows you to just walk all over me? Go fuck yourself, Elisapeth; you're pussy isn't that great."

"Very well, if this is how you want to do things. We'll see you in court. A commoner like you has no chance of winning against nobility like my Richard." His anger burned in his veins at what he was hearing.

"He thought you might do this, so Richard already talked a judge into getting a restraining order."

"Like, I want to be near you. For all I care, you can whore yourself out to this... asshat!" Again, Jasper heard the slap, and still, it didn't phase him.

"Get it through your head, Reeve; as tiny as that brain is of yours, you can't stop me. If you try, you'll find yourself in jail. Do you want that?! Huh!" Elisapeth screamed at the top of her lungs.

"Just face it, Reeve, I don't love you anymore. Just sign the papers; get on with your life; this isn't as world ending as you're making it out to be," she said, in that condescending voice of hers that Jasper knew so well.

"Nah, just nine years wasted on a cheating slut when I should have married her; at least she's truthful, unlike the bitch I'm staring at!" Reeve spat.

"Please," she said, rolling her eyes. "I saved you from a life of misery," Elisapeth said, waving off the statement. "Now this kind constable will keep an eye on you while I fetch my things." An evil light played through her eyes, enjoying the rage she saw in Reeve's eyes.

"You better take every last scrap of their crap with you; if you don't, I'll burn it all. And you better believe your so-called beloved Richard," Reeve sneered at the name, "isn't going to like the press when they learn that a so-called noble can't keep his hands to himself. If you thought you were sneaky about it, you're dead wrong."

"And all they'll see is a hurt, angry man whose wife got tired of living a commoner's life when a noble one is the one she desires," Elisapeth said from over her shoulder.

"I curse you, Elisapeth; I curse you so everyone will know your true self." Reeve growled, his magic shimmering in his eyes, as he silently cast the curse on his soon-to-be ex-wife.

"Oh no! A curse! Whatever am I to do?!" Elisapeth taunted as she walked down the hallway to her room. Knowing how her child would always find his way to his room whenever she or Reeve raised their voices, which had grown in frequency over the past few months.

She was a little annoyed that her news wasn't hurting Reeve like she thought it would. He had to have known about her and Richard before she told him she was leaving him. She would have thought he would be happy since she wasn't asking for anything from him.

When she was down the hallway, leaving with her luggage, she heard her son call her, "Mom?"

She didn't even look at her five year old child. Nor that his father had shown any worry towards him. His eyes were already bawling as his wailing didn't reach any of his parents.

And that's when another car arrived at the front of the house. A woman stepped out of the car, and she walked right into the house, towards Jasper.

She reached and said, "You must be Jasper."

Jasper wasn't looking at the woman, as his teary gaze was locked onto his mother, who was standing in the doorway.

The woman caught his hand and said, "Well, let's go, Jasper."

"I'm not going!"

"You are, and I'll show you your new home," that woman said, trying to sound upbeat about it.

Sighing loudly when Jasper grew stubborn, "You are coming with me. And no crying!" that woman barked when she noted her son's quivering eyes.

Reeves then asked, "What are you going to do about that little twerp?"

Elisapeth replied as she saw the woman and her son, "She will take care of him."

Jasper ran towards his mother, clutching her dress and crying his heart out.

"Come on, Jasper," yanking the boy out of his mother's grasp. "We're leaving," that woman grumbled, dragging Jasper behind her while he screamed out for his mother. "You're making this tougher than it needs to be," she huffed, pushing Jasper into the back of the car she came in.

Jasper pressed his tiny face against the glass of the window. Yearning for his parents as they stood in the doorway, watching him be taken by the woman.
