107 Shanks vs Rabin

"Then don't mind if I do."

Rabin created a sword out of lightning and slashed towards Shanks. Shanks also released his haki and used his own sword to block Rabin's lightning sword.

Both people's Haki and swords collided. The air around them started to crack just like when Rabin's and Whitebeard's haki clashed.

Law looked at Rabin and Shanks and started to sweat. Shiryu saw Law sweating.

"Hey what happened why are you so scared?"

Law pointed towards the sky. "The sky has divided because of their power. "

Everyone looked up when Law said that. Sital swallowed his saliva. "Captain is getting more and more monstrous by the day."

Rabin heard them and chuckled a bit. "You guys stay back, let me play with Shanks for a bit."

Shanks smiled. "Since Rabin is being so kind you guys also don't interfere in our fight let me fight him one on one."

Rabin produced a lightning spike from his chest and tried to pierce Shanks. Shanks was forced to take a step back. Rabin immediately attacked him by producing more and more lightning spikes from the ground.

Shanks was faster than Rabin expected. He was easily able to dodge Rabin's attack. Rabin had already marked Shanks when they clashed swords so he would be able to teleport next to Shanks anytime he wants.

Rabin started to produce lightning spikes under shanks, shoot him with lightning bolts at him and he even started producing high voltage lightning strikes from the sky to hit shanks.

Shanks was barely able to dodge all those attacks. While he was busy defending Rabin's attack, Rabin teleported right behind him.

Rabin thrust his lightning swords towards Shanks back intending to pierce his heart. Just as his sword was about to come in contact with Shanks's skin, Shanks blocked the attack using his sword.

Shanks turned around and looked at Rabin. "You are not the only one who can use future sight."

He said that and tried to cut Rabin. Shanks was very fast and his sword almost hit Rabin but Rabin was able to retreat back in time.

He looked at Shanks with a surprised expression. "I have to say you are stronger than I expected you to be."

Shanks laughed. "Thank you for your commitment. I had to train a lot harder to compensate for my lost arm and my training not only compensated for my lost arm but it made me a lot stronger than before."

"Shanks, I will be honest with you, I have no bad blood with you as a matter of fact I like you more compared to other emperors but the thing that keeps bothering me is your relation with the elders.

"What kind of relationship do you have with the elders?"

Shanks raised his eyebrows a little. "You seem to know quite a lot of things, don't you. My relationship with the elders or anyone else doesn't concern you by anyways does it?"

"It actually does concern me. I am planning to kill all the elders and overthrow the world government so if you are working for them then I have to kill you right now so that you don't get in my way in the future.

"And don't test me, I know that you just had to stop Kaido from coming here, and stopping Kaido is not an easy feat. It takes quite a toll on the person. I know you are just pretending to be at your best but in the reality, you are pretty exhausted.

"So, if you value your and your crewmate's life then don't even try to play games with me."

Shanks let out a deep breath. "You are really quite a troublesome person aren't you. Since you are being honest with me I will also be honest with you. I cannot tell you everything regarding my relationship with the elders.

"But I can tell you that if you prove to me that you are strong enough to overthrow the world government and when once you start to rule the world you will make the world a better and peaceful place than it currently is then I will not get in your way at all.

"But until then I won't let anyone make the world more unstable and chaotic than it already is. If you are not satisfied with my answer come and attack me. After all, I am not the only one who is tired don't forget you are also running low on stamina."

Rabin looked towards Shanks for a while. "I will believe you for now, but trust me if I find out you are lying then I promise I will slowly torture you to death."

Rabin turned around and looked at his crewmates. "Let's go."

They didn't say anything and started following Rabin.

Shanks and his crew looked at the departing figure of Rabin and his crew.

Benn Beckmen looked at Shanks. "Do you think they have what it takes to take down that monster?"

"They are not ready yet but they definitely have the potential to do so."

Shanks watched Rabin for a while then turned around. "We should leave too."

Shanks and his crew also left the battlefield. Now there were only corpses, burning buildings, and few people who were barely alive were left.

After some time Belo Betty and Morley came to the battlefield with few ships under Dragon's order and they started rescuing everyone that was left alive on the Island.

Rabin and his crew were currently on their ship Traveller.

Lana came near Rabin. "Where should we go, next captain?"

"Let's go to Whitebeard's territory. He has many territories and very few members to take care of them, so let's help him tack care of those territories."
