Late evening of the 391st day. Konoha.
"Danzo-sama is busy, leave the report on the table and you can go." Saito Takashi said in a cold tone, surprised by the behavior of one of the squad leaders sent to reconnoiter the third-rate group of mercenaries.
- Yes! - Yamada Norio replied. As a member of the Root Anbu, he could not even think of disputing the commander's order, so he bowed, headed to the table, and silently began to write a report.
Ten minutes later, Saito Takashi accepted his subordinate's report and placed it in his desk drawer. He had already heard Norio's verbal report, but the entire structure of Root was built on a reinforced concrete order, so everything was documented except for the most secret operations, which were under the control of Shimura Danzo himself.
"The Nakayama family... A third-rate mercenary group with an aura of mystery. I doubt they have that runaway from the Hyuga clan, but for some reason the master is very interested in this matter..." Takashi thought, stroking his small beard. Even he, being Shimura Danzo's assistant, did not know what his master had planned, and was sure that this small group of mercenaries was not worth such attention. However, he could not ignore his master's order, so he was obliged to report on this matter the next morning.

Kenshin continued to work hard on drawing the perimeter formations until lunchtime on the 392nd day. Even under 20x focus, he barely had time to complete all the preparations. At eleven o'clock in the evening, he sent Kasumi off to bed, but the girl refused to rest, so Kenshin allowed her to stay another two hours before ordering her to go to bed.
Due to the constant focusing, Kenshin had a severe headache, but he endured it and continued working, and at exactly one o'clock in the afternoon, he ordered the entire family to leave the shelter.
At this point, the family numbered a little over forty people, and they had all temporarily gathered in a secluded place, awaiting Kenshin's command. This was the most dangerous stage, for the old shelter had been destroyed, and the new one was not yet ready, and if the enemy attacked right now, the consequences would be unpredictable.
Kenshin sat silently in the lotus position, and designed a model of the future shelter in his head. A rough model of the new shelter had been drawn up in his head long ago, but even so, everything needed to be double-checked so that the future fortress would have as few weak points as possible.
Sitting in the middle of the forest, Kenshin was very vulnerable, so Ichiro and the Fifteenth with their teams were in charge of guarding him. They were ready to repel any attack, but they silently prayed that it would not happen, at least until their beloved father was safe.
Kenshin, meanwhile, was under such a heavy load that two bloody trails were running from his nose. Ichiro could see what was happening to his father and he clenched his teeth in frustration. He wanted to share the burden that was placed on his father's brain, but all he could do at that moment was clench his fists and hope in his heart that he would be able to fight a Root shinobi in the future.
Suddenly, before the astonished eyes of the brothers, a huge fortress, twenty meters high, surrounded by a large and high wall, instantly appeared in the air. Ichiro could not believe his eyes. He knew that their new refuge would be quite large, but he did not expect it to be so huge.
The fortress was surrounded by a huge, thick wall. The height of the wall was even higher than the fortress itself, and was about thirty meters, and the thickness was unthinkable for such a massive structure, and was five meters.
Sitting in the courtyard, Kenshin opened his eyes and immediately fell face down on the ground. Blood was pouring out of his nose and ears, and his breathing was incredibly chaotic. Ichiro and Fifteen immediately rushed to their father, and turned him onto his back.
- Father! Are you okay? - Fifteenth asked worriedly, to which Kenshin only smiled crookedly and replied:
- In a couple of minutes everything will be back to normal... Fourth, bring the rest of the brothers and mothers. Tell them that our new home is ready. - Kenshin said, smiling slightly, and closed his eyes, trying to get his thoughts in order.
- Yes, father! - The Fourth nodded and rushed to carry out the order.
Kenshin, meanwhile, decided to take a little rest. His mind had been through a lot of stress and exhaustion, so he needed some time to recover.
Ten minutes later, all of his sons and wives, in full force, arrived at the walls of the new fortress, and could not hold back their sighs of surprise. Entering through the gate into the territory of the new house, four women simultaneously rushed towards Kenshin. Hitomi was the first, and immediately carefully picked up Kenshin in her arms, and placed his head on her thighs. She was a high-class medic-nin, so she did everything so gently that Kenshin did not even wake up.
She placed her gentle palm on his forehead, and her hand glowed with a soft, blue light. Kenshin felt the warmth, and opened his eyes, seeing the gentle expression of the woman he loved before him.
"I'm okay…" he whispered, barely able to keep himself from closing his eyes again and falling into a deep sleep.
- Nothing is okay! You have cerebral vascular strain. A little more and you would have had a stroke! - Hitomi scolded him.
Kenshin opened his mouth to say something, but Hitomi looked at him with a displeased look and whispered, "It's best for you to remain silent now. Rest a bit, I'll stabilize your condition."
He just smiled and did as she said, closing his eyes and surrendering himself into the hands of the skilled woman.
