Beginning

It was morning, the dawn had not yet dawned when I opened my eyes. It was cold outside and the warmth of the blanket prevented me from getting out of bed. But in the end I somehow managed not force myself to stand up. I stretched and looked out the window to see the Sun slowly rising.

 After getting ready, I walked towards the door of my house and went out into the green yard and took a deep breath to inhale the fresh mountain air. I looked around the house for a bit and then headed towards the platform for my boat.

"I could go to town."

 I thought to myself. I didn't go down to the town for a week, I usually went down there once every two weeks to collect supplies and so on. I put gloves on my hands and started preparing the boat for departure.

But then in the distance I saw a flashing red light coming closer and closer. After a few moments I noticed that it was actually a ship of the Arnes flight academy, which I know very well. I was amazed and thought to myself who could this be at this time.

 The ship slowly slowed and slowed until it stopped next to the platform. The ship was smaller in size and its balloon was white, covered with flying academy markings. The symbol of two birds and between it a sword of light flew on a light blue flag. Then two very familiar faces came down from the ship, my good old friend Grumpy, short, with a slightly ugly face, red hair and red eyes like rabbits. And my other old friend Shane, a thin figure of average height with purple hair and light blue eyes.

"Long time no see Sparrow!"

Grumpy yelled, and Shane followed him.

 "You're lazy, Sparrow."

Immediately after that, I hugged them, because I hadn't seen them for five years.

"Good to see you guys again, but where did you come from?"

I said with a smile on my face.

"And you see, our paths always cross just like before". 

Shane said

"Sparrow, I know you left this job four years ago, and I understand your pain from losing Grandpa, but the academy needs you again, as well as the whole nation."

Grumpy added

My smile shrunk slightly after recalling the unfortunate event when my grandfather died after his ship crashed. To be honest, I've been scared of flying all this time, but it's an integral part of my life, even though I've kept it to a minimum.

I'm afraid to get into a military ship again and feel that wind at that speed when you charge. I called to myself and looked at the two of them, they looked at me with a little regret but they were glad to see me again after so long.
