Chapter 5 Shinobu

One week later

Beneath a waterfall, a young man with long silver hair can be seen meditating topless.

*boom*

With a loud bang, Noah finally entered the Qi Gathering realm.

*ding*

When Noah heard a sound in his head, he immediately knew what it meant:

[New Skill:] [Qi Circulation]

[New Skill:] [Qi Manipulation]

[Qi Circulation: controlling Qi to flow in a cycle from the dantian, through the meridians, and back into the dantian. it helps to replenish stamina.]

[Qi Manipulation: Qi Manipulation can be used for example for pure qi attacks, but also to strengthen your weapons.]

After that Noah checked his Realm and Qi Absorption.

[Cultivation Realm: Foundation 8 (1800/32000)] --> [Cultivation Realm: Qi Gathering 1 (1/100%)]

[Combat Progress: Mid-Uppermoon] --> [Combat progress: Demon King]

[Qi Absorption: 10/minute [LV1(2/10)] ---> [Qi Absorption: 320/minute [LV6(12/100)]

What immediately caught his attention is that the progress is now displayed in %.

He was not really surprised that his Combat progress now showed "Demon King."

After all, Qi is extremely strong in this world.

If he were to see himself at DxD standarts, he would probably be at peak mid-class. His body, on the other hand, should have been at high class by now.

After all, his combat progress was only so low before because he didn't have a real attack.

In the last week, Noah has seen and killed an unusually large number of mid- and high-class demons.

The points he got went into active Qi absorption because passive Qi absorption simply isn't worth it for the time being.

As for his Spear mastery? He is stuck again, this time at Spear mastery [intermediate(D) 99%.]

Noah estimated that the highest rank for sword and spear mastery in this world is (C).

Since he was stuck after the 3rd day, he took the chance to improve his sword mastery to [intermediate(D) 99%] too.

After looking at his stats, he decided to get dressed and move on.

After 1 week, Noah has taken the habit of carrying the spear on his back, since he has encountered Demon Slayers a few times and it has caused a lot of confusion whenever the spear came out of nowhere.

10 minutes later

`Where am I?` Noah asked himself in confusion.

The last time he saw any people was 2 days ago, which caused him to lose track of where he was.

When he used his Skill [6th Sense], he saw a large mansion located a few meters away from him.

Noah choose to ask where he was.

Upon arriving at the gate, Noah knocked and called loudly: "Excuse me, is someone there?"

After about one minute he saw three over motivated young girls peeking out of the gate.

"Can we help you?" the three asked together.

`Oh, I must be at the Butterfly Mansion,` Noah thought delightedly when he saw the three young girls.

He didn't recognize the Mansion at first because it looked completely different In the anime/manga.

"I wanted to ask where I am exactly? I lost track of where I was," Noah asked with a friendly smile.

"This is the Butterfly Mansion," the three answered his question.

`Really nice mansion`

"Oh, Butterfly Mansion? Sounds familiar," Noah said, as if he knew absolutely nothing.

"You have a Spear but you don't wear a Demon Slayer uniform. Are you a Demon Slayer?" One of the three asked curiously.

"Demon Slayer? Not really, I do fight demons, but I never joined the ranks of the Demon Slayers."

"Is that so?" asked another of the three.

As Noah was about to answer again, he heard another voice from behind.

"Are you okay Sumi, Kiyo and Naho?" the voice asked in a caring tone.

"Everything is fine Shinobu-sama, the young man was just wondering where we are," they all spoke again in sync.

`Are their brains connected `Noah wondered as he watched the three.

"I hope you could help him", once again the voice sounded.

`Shinobu-sama? If I didn't know what your real personality is, then maybe I would have been fooled here.` Noah thought.

As Noah thought about Shinobu, a small slender woman with black hair that turned purple at the tips revealed herself as the gate opened.

"Do you still need help?" she asked him in an extremely polite voice.

"Where can I find the nearest town?" Noah answered in a friendly voice.

"Where did you come from that you don't know where the next town is?"

"I was training in the forest when I lost sight of the way."

"Training? You're a spear fighter?" She asked in an interested voice.

"That's really unusual, I only know a handful of people who use a spear as a weapon," she added.

"A spear just suits me better," Noah replied, as if he worshipped the spear.

"Really? Since you're not wearing a Demon Slayer uniform, I assume you're not one?" she asked again.

"As I just told the little girl, though I kill demons, I am certainly not a Demon Slayer."

"My family consists of mercenaries, so normal people usually hire me when they see demons somewhere."

During the time Noah has been in this world, he has thought of what he should say in case anyone asks him about his background. Since this world is still far behind in technology, Noah was free to create one for himself.

He decided on a simple one that would allow him to answer all questions without forgetting what he had said to someone before.

"Mercenaries? I have already met a few of them." She answered in a convinced voice.

"What are you going to do next?" she asked, as if she were concerned.

"Of course I'm going to the next town," Noah answered normally.

"You probably won't find the way, because you'll have to cross the forest", Shinobu said in a welcoming voice.

"What should I do then?" Noah asked as if he had nowhere to go.

"Stay here for the night. Tomorrow morning I'll get a delivery, and that person who's bringing the delivery is coming from the city so he can take you with him."

"Is that really okay?" Noah asked like he didn't want to be a burden.

"Yes, in return you will show me how you handle the spear. What do you think?"

"Sure, why not."

Even though Noah, after some explanation, would probably find his way, he decided to stay.

The reason?

Shinobu, of course. However, not because he wants to hit on her or something, in fact Noah considers this as a chance to start a business relationship with her.

He has been thinking about finding Shinobu all along, since he wants to recruit her as a researcher for his faction. After all, she was quite smart and researched a lot of things despite the fact that she lived in a world that is so far in the past. Now consider what happens when such a woman gets modern equiment.

`She might become important.` Noah thought delightedly.

Once inside the courtyard, Noah was overwhelmed by what he saw. There were fresh blossoms and healthy green plants everywhere.

Nowadays, due to environmental pollution, such an image is not common to see.

In the yard of the Mansion 2 young boys are visible training.

One of the two boys had a scar on his forehead which immediately revealed his identity to Noah.

The boy was none other than the protagonist of this world

Kamado Tanjiro

A young boy whose family was killed by the demon king Muzan Kibutsuji.

His only family member who remained was his sister, but she was turned into a demon.

Together they went on a journey to defeat Muzan and transform Nezuko back from a demon to a human.

`Since Zenitsu isn't training yet, I guess I still have about a month until the Mugen Train Arc,` Noah thought as he watched Tanjiro and his comrade Inosuke train.

It should be noted that Inosuke isn't even wearing his pig mask.

"Who are they?" Noah asked with interest.

"These two are Demon Slayers recovering from injuries here. This masion here is like a clinic for Demon Slayers to recover when they are injured," Shiobu replied.

"Do you only know how to use the spear," Shiobu asked

"I used to fight with a sword before the spear, but I like the spear more."

"You also fight with a sword?" Noah asked in return.

"Basically, yes, but of course you have to have a few tricks up your sleeve if you have a physique like mine."

"I guess you won't tell me," Noah asked with a laugh on his face.

"It's actually not a secret among the Denom Slayer."

"Since I'm the doctor here, you can probably guess what I use?"

"Poison?" Noah asked.

"As a matter of fact, Demon Slayers who don't have strong stature use poison," Shinobu replied.

`Perhaps I would be able to break through my progression in Spear, and Sword mastery if I fought with Shinobu? After all, she is much stronger than a normal high-level Demon.` Noah thought as he went into the Mansion with Shinobu.

Author Note:

For people who are wondering what's up with the Passive QI Absorption skill, I can only say that it will become important later on.

First of all, I'm sorry that there wasn't a chapter yesterday, because I was traveling by train yesterday and the German train stretched my trip from 7 hours to 13 hours (if you know the German train, you know what I mean), but now I have a week off, in which there will be at least two chapter every day.

I hope you enjoyed the chapter.

I have seen that many want to see servant Scathach in Harem or FATE, however, I am considering whether I will use the DxD Scathach, since it is actually a waste of servant when this person already exists in DxD universe anyway. There were other servants that I would prefer. Opinion gladly in the commis.
