Symbiote Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

"Military personnel?" 

Looking at the completely malfunctioned Zaku battle armor, Natasha furrowed her brows and said to Barton.

"It's hard to say. Currently, not only the military has purchased the Zaku battle armor from Octopus Monster Industries. It's rumored that several Saudi princes have also bought Zaku battle armor without weapon systems from Octopus Monster Industries."

Barton glanced at the modified Zaku battle armor and spoke slowly.

As Natasha and Barton speculated about who might have invaded the base, Bakshi, who was walking beside Russell, suddenly stopped.

"The signal of one battle armor disappeared!"

Bakshi quickly reported.

"That's normal. This is a S.H.I.E.L.D. base after all!"

Russell wasn't surprised at all. The S.H.I.E.L.D. agents within the base could defeat the Zaku battle armor.

For ordinary people, the Zaku battle armor was indeed formidable.

However, for S.H.I.E.L.D., it was just another matter altogether.

S.H.I.E.L.D. might not have the capability to independently develop battle armors, but they certainly weren't lacking in weapons to destroy the Zaku battle armor.

If they couldn't even do this, then S.H.I.E.L.D. would be quite incompetent.

After all, S.H.I.E.L.D.'s ideology was to protect the safety of the entire world.

Upon hearing Russell's words, Bakshi remained silent.

However, he gradually slowed his pace, transitioning from walking side by side with Russell to following behind him.

Observing Bakshi's subtle action, Russell shook his head disdainfully.

This guy is really exceptionally afraid of death!

Though he thought this, Russell didn't say anything to Bakshi and continued towards the interior of the base.

The mission briefing included an internal map of the base.

Though Russell only glanced briefly, he had already memorized the map completely.

Soon, they encountered the second batch of S.H.I.E.L.D. agents.

Compared to the first intercepting team, this second batch of S.H.I.E.L.D. agents was larger.

However, the outcome was no different.

In less than a minute, Russell and Bakshi easily dealt with this fully armed intercepting team.

After the initial battle, Bakshis performance had notably improved. He didn't waste ammunition on already deceased S.H.I.E.L.D. agents.

As they delved deeper, more intercepting S.H.I.E.L.D. agents came their way.

Initially, Russell could effortlessly eliminate these S.H.I.E.L.D. agents with unscientific bullets by using his Bullet Throwing shot.

But soon, he grew tired of it.

Using Bullet Throwing indeed dispatched the S.H.I.E.L.D. agents with ease, but relying solely on that felt uninteresting.

After another empty magazine, he holstered his modified Glock 34 and, holding a shield formed by his symbiote, charged directly into the intercepting team.

As he rushed like a hunting cheetah, he unsheathed the M9 bayonet from his tactical belt.

Even with just a bayonet and a shield, Russell's killing efficiency remained astonishing.

To prevent accidentally injuring Russell, Bakshi ceased fire and became a spectator.

Without the suppressing firepower of the Zaku battle armor, the S.H.I.E.L.D. agents finally had a chance to counterattack.

However, they quickly realized that the opponent before them, identical to Captain America Steve Rogers, was much more terrifying than the Zaku battle armor.

Russell's M9 bayonet twirled and danced in his hands like a butterfly, reaping the lives of these S.H.I.E.L.D. agents as if he were the Grim Reaper.

Throats were slashed by lightning-fast strikes, hearts were pierced directly.

Though these S.H.I.E.L.D. agents had considerable combat experience, in front of Russell, they were as naive as untrained civilians.

In less than 30 seconds, Russell had taken the lives of this group of S.H.I.E.L.D. agents using his M9 bayonet.

After dealing with them, he flaunted a knife flourish, shook the blood from his blade, and returned the slightly stained knife to his tactical belt.

Observing Russell easily dispatch the intercepting team as if cutting vegetables, Bakshi inside the Zaku armor couldn't help but entertain the idea of learning some combat skills himself.

Though Bakshi seldom engaged in combat directly, as a man, he had notions of being a formidable warrior, overseeing the battlefield.

Russell paid no attention to what Bakshi was currently pondering. After re-sheathing the M9 bayonet, he continued walking toward the direction of the core laboratory.

S.H.I.E.L.D. had deployed security forces within the base, but it was evident that these forces were only equipped to handle conventional enemies.

As Russell and Bakshi headed toward the core laboratory, Winter Soldier Bukcy Barnes, the first model of Hydra's agents, had already arrived outside the core laboratory. They were only a corridor's distance away from entering the lab.

However, this seemingly short corridor had become an insurmountable chasm for them.

Bucky's group was stopped.

The ones blocking them were none other than Hawkeye Clint Barton and Black Widow Natasha Romanoff.

Apart from Barton and Natasha, these two S.H.I.E.L.D. elites, they were accompanied by two fully armed S.H.I.E.L.D. special forces teams.

But that wasn't what made things difficult for Bucky's group.

What truly posed a challenge for them were the three black monsters standing over two meters tall.

Sharp teeth and claws, long red tongues, massive white eyes.

Based on appearances alone, these three black monsters bore a striking resemblance to Russell's symbiote form.

As soon as these three black monsters appeared, they halted Bucky's group.

And under the attacks of these three monsters, apart from Bucky and the Hydra soldier wearing the Zaku armor, the others couldn't last even ten seconds before their bodies were shredded by the creatures' sharp claws.

Although S.H.I.E.L.D.'s research on symbiotes hadn't been extensive, Nick Fury had promptly initiated the Super Soldier program that involved symbiote-possessed S.H.I.E.L.D. agents.

Barton and Natasha hadn't initially intended to utilize these symbiote agents.

However, upon discovering that the invading Zaku battle armor wasn't a single entity, they immediately dispatched three S.H.I.E.L.D. agents to transform into symbiote forms.

Before Russell's group infiltrated the base, the laboratory had already been conducting tests on these symbiote agents, and the agents had already been bonded with their symbiotes.

When those three symbiote agents pounced on Bucky's group like wild beasts, Natasha and Barton ceased their attacks.

The symbiote agents were indeed powerful, but at present, they hadn't developed long-range attack capabilities.

To avoid accidentally harming their teammates, Barton and Natasha were forced to halt their assault.

In fact, these symbiote agents didn't currently require the assistance of Barton and Natasha.

Though it was their first actual battle, they exhibited even more exceptional combat prowess than during their tests.

The formidable firepower of the Zaku battle armor could only inflict minor injuries on them.

For the symbiotes with astonishing regenerative capabilities, these minor injuries only required a few seconds to completely heal.

Before long, Bucky and the last remaining Hydra soldier found themselves in a precarious position, constantly on the defensive.
