Telepathic connection, King's Serum, symbiotes unable to refuse...
Russell felt like he had found the difference between the King's Serum and Serum.
Although he didn't know exactly what this was all about, from the effects, the influence of the King's Serum on symbiotes seemed somewhat similar to Knull's mental control over symbiotes.
The only difference was that while Knull's mental control could extend across an entire galaxy, the mental control of the King's Serum couldn't achieve this level.
Let alone crossing a galaxy, Russell felt that the King's Serum's mental control over symbiotes might not even extend across Earth.
Of course, he couldn't be entirely sure without testing it firsthand.
If he had the opportunity, he could find a time to test it out.
Russell pondered in his mind.
With the significant enhancement of Serum's original abilities, combined with the mental control over symbiotes, if his guess was correct, this should be the full extent of the King's Serum's capabilities.
After thinking for a few seconds, Russell gave the ability of the King's Serum to mentally control symbiotes a straightforward new name.
Absolute Command!
Absolute command over symbiotes!
Although absolute command and mental control sounded similar, Russell decided to give this ability a new name for easier distinction.
After grasping the key difference between the King's Serum and Serum, Russell suited up in Endosymbiotic Battle Armor once again and then flew towards New York.
Upon taking flight, Grendel didn't utter a word and flapped its wings, following closely behind him.
...
New York, Manhattan.
Octopus Monster Industry headquarters.
Chairman's office.
After a long flight, Russell returned to his office alone.
Grendel had initially wanted to accompany him back, but he refused.
It was still daytime in New York, and Grendel's massive size would surely attract attention if it flew directly back. To minimize the impact, Russell instructed Grendel to return at night.
He didn't let Grendel come to Manhattan; instead, he directed Grendel to head directly to the headquarters of the Justice League located in the suburbs of New York.
Before leaving, he specifically told Grendel to maintain a low profile as much as possible.
Back in the office, Russell took off his armor and casually reclined in his boss chair.
The completion of this mission had gone much smoother than he had anticipated, yielding many rewards.
Before heading to the S.H.I.E.L.D. base, he had even planned on directly leading Grendel to the New York Sanctum.
However, it turned out that dealing with Grendel and Knull, as significant as their backgrounds were, wasn't as troublesome as he had thought.
Especially dealing with the soul-only Knull; the ease of it exceeded his imagination.
Even the mighty god of darkness had been surprisingly easy to convince. This was truly an unimaginable situation.
With Serum evolving into the King's Serum and Grendel becoming his symbiote subordinate, Russell was quite satisfied with the outcomes of this mission.
The only thing he wasn't satisfied with was Grendel taking the initiative to bring Natasha back.
Although Grendel's decision had caused some unnecessary trouble, upon closer consideration, it might not be a bad thing.
"No. 3, project the brainwashing techniques data provided by Bakshi."
Russell said to No. 3, who stood beside him.
"Understood, sir!"
Without hesitation, No. 3 promptly projected the brainwashing data researched by Hydra onto a holographic virtual screen.
Russell carefully reviewed the brainwashing techniques developed by Hydra.
It had to be said that Hydra was proficient in certain aspects.
If the data on the document wasn't exaggerated, Hydra's brainwashing techniques was top-notch on a global scale.
From a certain perspective, it wasn't just brainwashing; it was a complete personality reconstruction.
Quite interesting!
After finishing reading the brainwashing techniques data, Russell couldn't help but exclaim.
"Prepare the necessary equipment for the brainwashing process. I want to see this brainwashing laboratory at the Justice League headquarters before midnight tonight."
"Understood, sir!"
The mechanical synthesized voice of No. 3 echoed again.
Time flew by.
Unknowingly, it was already early morning.
As the tracking signal on Grendel's body began to move, Russell put on Endosymbiotic Battle Armor and flew towards the Justice League headquarters.
A few minutes later, under the shroud of night, Grendel landed cautiously on the grassy area of the Justice League headquarters.
Although Grendel had tried its best to control its movements, its massive size left behind enormous footprints on the grass.
Watching Grendel's careful actions, Russell felt that his decision to settle Grendel in the Justice League headquarters might have been too hasty.
Furrowing his brows in thought for a few seconds, he retrieved a communicator from his system space and tossed it to Grendel, who was contemplating whether to step forward with its left or right paw.
Seeing the communicator Russell threw, Grendel quickly extended a black tentacle from its body, resembling an octopus tentacle, to catch the communicator.
"Go to the Arctic Archipelago in Canada and stay there. Carry the communicator with you, and I'll contact you when needed."
"Keep a low profile and avoid attracting attention from others, especially no consuming humans."
"When you're settled, I'll have someone deliver chocolate to you!"
What Grendel actually needed wasn't chocolate but phenylethylamine.
Phenylethylamine could sustain symbiotes' physiological functions.
In the human body, phenylethylamine could be secreted from the brain.
That was why symbiotes enjoyed eating human brains – for the primary reason of obtaining phenylethylamine.
Of course, besides human brains, phenylethylamine could be obtained from other sources, such as other animals' brains or, in this case, chocolate.
Grendel solemnly nodded and carefully retracted the communicator into its body, protecting it as though it were of utmost importance.
"Release Natasha and the second-generation symbiotes, then you can leave."
Russell continued speaking.
As soon as he finished, Grendel released Natasha and the second-generation symbiotes that had been confined within its body.
As Natasha and the second-generation symbiotes left Grendel's body, Grendel spread its massive wings and left the Justice League headquarters without looking back.
Glancing at Natasha, who had collapsed on the ground, Russell issued an "absolute command" to one of the second-generation symbiotes.
Without him saying a word, upon receiving his telepathic command, one of the second-generation symbiotes immediately leapt onto Natasha and merged into her body.
"Let's go!"
A few minutes later, Russell, Natasha, and the second-generation symbiotes arrived at the brainwashing laboratory that No. 3 had hastily set up.
Under Russell's guidance, the second-generation symbiote that had taken over Natasha's body forcibly manipulated her, making her sit in the specialized brainwashing chair.
Not only that, the symbiote that had taken over Natasha's body extended black tendrils and activated all the restraint devices on the chair.
After completing these actions, the symbiote emerged from Natasha's body.
"No. 3, prepare suitable containers for these nine individuals to prevent them from dying."
"Understood, sir!"
Under No. 3's guidance, the nine symbiotes, which resembled black slimes, followed No. 3 out of the brainwashing laboratory.
When only Russell and Natasha remained in the room, Natasha stared at Russell warily and coldly asked, "What do you want?"
"Nothing, I just want to help you undergo a little brainwashing!"
Russell removed his coat, casually placing it on the table, and began operating the equipment in front of him.
