Inside the S.H.I.E.L.D. secret base.
Black Widow Natasha Romanoff was wearing a uniform that highlighted her graceful curves, sitting casually in an office chair at the core laboratory. She propped up her feet and placed her slender, straight legs on the desk.
Beside Natasha stood Hawkeye Clint Barton, who had a serious expression.
Currently, they were observing the busy researchers in the laboratory.
In the vast laboratory, dozens of researchers in white lab coats worked diligently like worker ants.
However, the most eye-catching element of the experiment was not Natasha and Barton in combat attire, nor the busy researchers. It was the enormous block of ice in the center of the laboratory, containing a Frozen Symbiote Dragon.
This Symbiote Dragon resembled the evil dragons from Western mythology, known for kidnapping princesses.
Its entirely black exterior gave off an indescribable aura of dominance even while encased in ice.
Perhaps out of boredom, Natasha, sitting casually, picked up a pen from the desk and threw it like a dart toward Barton, who stood rigidly nearby.
Just as the pen was about to touch him, Barton raised his right hand and caught the pen mid-air.
Then, he placed it back on the desk.
"You're such a dull guy. I wonder what Laura saw in you," Natasha commented, seeing Barton's reaction.
"Because I'm dependable!" Barton retorted quietly.
"Dependable? Are you sure you're not kidding me?" Natasha playfully rolled her eyes at Barton and continued.
Although Natasha was being extremely seductive at the moment, Barton remained remarkably calm and didn't respond to Natasha's teasing.
Observing Barton's silence, Natasha lowered her raised feet, walked over to Barton, and said seriously, "Do you really think Fury's plan will succeed?"
Barton furrowed his brows slightly.
"Based on the current experimental data, Fury's plan shouldn't have any issues."
"You've seen the capabilities of the symbiote; even with its vulnerabilities to fire and ultrasonic waves, soldiers possessed by the symbiote are even more powerful than Rogers."
As a normal human without any superpowers, Barton didn't believe that only superhuman abilities could create a super soldier. However, he had to admit that soldiers possessed by the symbiote were undoubtedly super soldiers.
If the symbiote didn't have the vulnerabilities to fire and ultrasonic waves, the symbiote-enhanced soldiers would be perfect.
"I don't deny the symbiote's strength, but it's still an extraterrestrial organism."
"Weaponizing the symbiote at this stage gives me an uneasy feeling."
The coquettish expression on Natasha's face vanished completely, replaced by a deeply serious tone.
"Don't worry. Even if these symbiote-enhanced soldiers lose control, we can still retrieve them."
"God is fair; he gave the symbiote immense power but also left it with obvious weaknesses."
Though he disliked these overtly sinister symbiotes himself, Barton's concerns about the symbiotes were clearly much smaller than Natasha's.
As Natasha and Barton conversed, a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent in the base's monitoring room stared at the video feed from the base's main gate, perplexed.
In front of the camouflaged main gate, a face familiar to all S.H.I.E.L.D. staff suddenly appeared.
Captain America, Steve Rogers.
Seeing Captain America unexpectedly at the base's gate, the agent turned to his colleague and asked, "Did you receive any notification about Captain's visit?"
"No! There's no visitor list for today at the base!"
"Then how did Captain come here?"
Saying this, the agent pointed at the screen showing Captain America.
"Notify the supervisor. I'm going to ask headquarters what's going on."
Following this, the two agents began contacting the base's security chief and S.H.I.E.L.D. Triskelion Headquarters.
The security chief of this secret base was none other than Hawkeye Clint Barton.
In the core laboratory, Barton received the report from the monitoring room, his face showing a puzzled expression.
"Steve's at the base?"
Just as Barton was about to further inquire about what was happening, a loud alarm suddenly blared through the base, and the red alarm lights began flashing frantically.
Someone was invading the base!
Although Russell was currently outside the main gate of the base, he could still hear the alarm from inside the base.
Have the other teams already gone in?
After realizing this, he took out his handgun, aimed at the surveillance camera on the gate, and shot it down.
Then, he walked away.
No sooner had he left the gate than three Hydra soldiers quickly rushed to the front of the gate and began planting explosives.
Bakshi's plan was to blast open the base's gate with explosives.
However, Russell offered his own suggestion.
As a result, the scene of him appearing at the gate played out.
The plan was sound, but plans couldn't keep up with changes.
Before he could deceive the gate, the other teams forced their way into the base using brute force, triggering the base's alarm system without question.
The Hydra soldiers in front of the gate quickly finished installing the explosives for breaching.
Boom!
An explosion resounded.
The sturdy gate was blasted open, leaving a gap.
Before the smoke from the explosion had even cleared, Russell, taking the lead, entered the base.
Bakshi, clad in Zaku battle armor, followed closely behind him, entering the base as well.
Upon entering the base, Russell saw S.H.I.E.L.D. agents rushing towards them.
Without hesitation, he raised his hand and fired.
Bullet Throwing!
Bang!
After a while without using it, Russell executed a Bullet Throwing shot.
The bullets arched through the air, precisely hitting the foremost S.H.I.E.L.D. agent.
The valiant S.H.I.E.L.D. agent fell, deprived of the opportunity to even retaliate, losing his life.
This shot from Russell marked the beginning of the battle.
The S.H.I.E.L.D. agents on the opposite side sought cover while firing relentlessly towards them.
Russell didn't evade; he raised the shield he had created from the symbiote, blocking in front of him.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
As he raised the shield, he fired three shots in succession, claiming the lives of three S.H.I.E.L.D. agents with another Bullet Throwing shot.
Only after the three S.H.I.E.L.D. agents had fallen to the bullets from the Bullet Throwing shots did Bakshi, who had been following closely behind, start attacking.
Bakshi raised his hands, and the machine guns and grenade launchers on his armor began firing simultaneously.
Though the Hydra soldiers weren't entirely satisfied with the modified Zaku battle armor they had bought from Russell, they shared a common view with him.
The Zaku battle armor, with its bulky design, was suitable as a heavy firepower platform.
In just a blink of an eye, Bakshi fired off hundreds of bullets and five or six grenades, thoroughly eliminating the opposing S.H.I.E.L.D. agents.
