The journey 1

3 days after the coronation day.

the 100 guards, 10 maids, laura, prince Philip and sir lanester accompanied me on my journey.

I wasn't very happy about the company of prince Philip but I had to endure it!

prince Philip and sir lansceter were on their horses in front of my carriage and the guards were riding by the carriage's sides, laura didn't stop looking at the woods from the carriage's window

she was very astonished by nature's beauty...that's something I can't argue with.

not long she fetched herself and sat in front of me.

"is it okay that I'm inside the carriage with you??"

"do you dare say no to the queen.."

I frowned but couldn't help but smile at her.

she laughed.....I felt also some refreshment....we needed to get away from the palace and everything thing that is happening there.

"did lord Albert find anything new?"

"he said this would take some time...this is a more sensitive matter...calm down, don't think about it...have some rest our shining queen"

she held my hand.

I nodded with a smile.

"tell me now what do you think of prince Philip??" her eyes widened.

"I don't know.....I just can't be at rest when I'm around anyone who joins hands with grandpa...he resembles only danger to me!" I replied

Laura: "so what is it now?"

i: "I have no idea...but I've promised grandpa."

....

back at the palace

at the stable

where there was only a guard, Peter and lord Albert.

"the last one the late queen had met was the royal physician..., as for the late king nothing has gripped anyone's attention that day." the guard said.

" the royal physician hmm...any other notices?" lord Albert asked.

guard: "no my lord."

lord Albert: "keep it low".

guard: "yes my lord".

"Then we have business other where"

lord Albert thought.

Peter: "my lord could it have been poison?"

Albert: "no.... we've already checked"

Peter: "my lord...May I ask why have u shown sudden interest?"

Albert: "something fishy is going on....only a fool wouldn't notice"

...

at sunset

we've arrived at the doors of a small village for tonight's stay.

the carriage had finally stopped after a long time in front of a brown villa.

you can hear the voices coming from inside the village's market and the other houses in the village.. their singing was loud and not bad...you can spot the colourful lighting in the market unlike where we were it was dark and miserable!

"Queen Victoria...we've arrived at a safe place for tonight's stay, your place is ready...this villa has been specially prepared for you at your grandpa's demand .....your grandpa preferred that we don't announce your presence, pls understand his worries, and feel free to ask for anything you need."

prince Albert said then bowed and left before I could say anything!

he just left after setting a fire in my head!

who's the one giving orders now...I don't think I can look at him in his face without this look of disgust on mine...I got out of a prison just to get myself into another one! hah.

the guards and maids started to settle.

50 guards around the villa and the rest inside with all those maids I felt like I was going to suffocate to death!

I had no power to argue...I could only watch them sing and dance from my window....there it seemed alive.
