Chapter 2:

After school had ended, the rain had been pouring aggressively the entire day, Moonlight was waiting under the violent raindrops, as everyone else around her had umbrellas. She was completely wet and her bones were shaking from the extreme ache of coldness. Waiting for her sister.

She turned and Asher walked by quickly. He was sheltered under a grey umbrella. All eyes on him. Moonlight's eyes rested on him as she didn't expect him to look back. His cold but attractive gaze swept over her. His eyes widened and his quivering bones suddenly froze under his exotic gaze. She just looked at his face since it is much closer to her than in class. And, phew! he was hotter than expected.

And what made it even more beautiful.

Was the rain that was slowly pouring down, while these both creatures accidentally laid eyes on each other.

Asher walked out before he drew a smirk on his face. Moonlight kept on staring at him unconsciously as he was heading away.

She was completely forgetting about the cold raindrops fuelling her body. Then, her sister's red car caught her attention. She blinked twice, interrupting herself from daydreaming, as the harsh rain began to aggressively attack her, once again. Like her usual horrific reality.

She went inside the car. Her sister seemed distracted. Moonlight frowned her eyebrows since Claire completely looked star-truck.

"Who is that?" Her sister asked, her eyes lost somewhere. Moonlight swung around as she saw Asher. She let out a sigh, desperately.

"That's my new classmate, Asher."

"What? He's the same age as you? He looks a bit older than you, not older, but at least 19? he's very handsome."

"I do not know." Moonlight rested her head back. Paining from extreme coldness. Shaking, her sister didn't care less and still was contemplating Asher admirably.

"I want his number, he's very very good-looking! I'm not missing this chance," Claire desperately said.

"Can we go h-home first?" Moonlight hardly spoke due to the freezing weather.

Claire rolled her eyes in annoyance. "You're so dramatic". All she did is lightly suspire, she had nothing to do, or say, all the words she'd wanna let out is obscured inside her heart. Claire finally drove away.

Late at night, Moonlight has tried to sneak out, walking on her toes, slightly, avoiding to cause any loud noises that would wake her sister up. On purpose to stargaze.

Stargazing has been the biggest part of her life, ever since her mother introduced her to all the stars in the sky when she was just a baby. The stars have spoken to her. And she loved them. They were her only friends, she always told them about her problems, her life and her desires, it was her diary. Whatever she buried deep in her heart, she would have this chance to just gaze up at the night sky and let off steam towards these sparkling creatures.

She put on the warm blanket, then sat on it. Closing her eyes, she let out a shattered breath from the bottom of her lungs. Then opened them slightly, her eyes met the plenty of gleaming stars shining powerfully on her. As she traced a smile of relief on her face.

"Hey, I've missed you."

" Well. It's been a normal day, as usual, I've been alone, and, uh, my head kinda hurts, since I worked a lot in the restaurant tonight, a lot of clients came." She let out a chuckle. "There was this very negligent client, he ordered a small pizza, and then he complained of how small it is. It's obviously going to be small, so we had to change it to other pizzas three times and still, he wasn't satisfied."

She giggled before she faintly groaned. Threw herself completely on the floor, and rested on her back, her arms wrapped behind her head which made the night sky looked more spectacular under her eyes.

"Oh!" She opened her eyes widely since Asher suddenly rose into her mind. "We had a classmate today, his name is Asher, but he's quite weird looking, I mean, not weird, but very good looking in a weird way. Everyone in the school fell for him! Because of his handsome looks, even my sister was completely in love with him, at first sight!"

She clicked her tongue. As she continued talking. " But he looked kind of arrogant, I don't judge him, but he settled a cold and mean appearance the whole day, he looked fearless. I can tell he got a strong personality and high confidence since he got his fans around him on the first day of his arrival. I wish I had his life, everyone seemed to like him already, when I'm just here, being hopelessly alone."

Her features saddened. Remembering the chaos and chasms that embraced her life. She looked back up at the beautiful stars that were still glimmering making Moonlight lower all her grief.

"You know, I just wanna be happy again, but I feel like… The word "happiness" doesn't want to be in my life anymore."
