Chapter 53 The Arrival of Dante

Finally, Dante arrived at the scene. His senses heightened as he surveyed the chaotic battlefield before him. His eyes swept over the figures, trying to gather any information about them.

Being met by what seemed to be five sorcerers and Dagon getting jumped by the 5 of them, an old man with traditional Japanese clothing, a young boy with black hair and black clothes, a blonde guy with office clothes who looked near his 30s, a girl with glasses similar to Dante's, and a jacked guy with black eyes and a red three-section staff connected by three rings between the joints of the weapon.

As Dante finally set foot in the room, making his presence be known, all eyes turned to him, their gazes piercing through the chaos with a mix of curiosity and wariness.

A new enigma was added to the equation in the form of a girl with rainbow-colored hair, two lethal weapons glinting at her waist, and a pair of shiny feathered wings adorning her back.

Breaking the tense silence, Dante yelled at them with a loud shout that echoed. "Hello!!!"

All the sorcerers thought at the same time, "An enemy? When did she enter the domain? No one opened a hole. How could she enter?"

The sudden shout left the sorcerers startled and wary, their minds racing to decipher the stranger's intentions. Maki keenly noticed the girl's appearance and cursed tools, finding a similarity between them.

Maki pondered in her thoughts, "Two cursed tools and glasses... Is she like me...? No! But her appearance doesn't look Japanese-". "

Seeing how battered Dagon was from the unfair situation, I said with a tinge of amusement and laughed, "YO Dagon, you got beaten down... what's with this place? Everyone fights in unfair advantages to win." after a small pause, I continued "Sadly, that also includes me."

Not sensing any cursed energy from the girl, Megumi deducted, "Could it be the girl he referred to?"

Dagon replied, "I would be already dead if it's not because of you."

I asked with interest, from his cryptic way of talking, "How so? I just got here."

"That guy over there is similar to you. Watching you fight helped me survive against this human," Dagon explained, drawing their attention to the looming threat called Toji.

This small chat confirmed it to everyone. The cursed spirit referred to this girl, and if it didn't lie, then she should be as strong as this guy.

I replied, "OH!? Now that's interesting; according to Geto, there is only supposed to be another case apart from me, so that should be..."

His eyes changed from Dagon to Toji just to see him already rushing at him. Dante quickly took both of his weapons out and rushed at him with a powerful flap of his wings.

Only the afterimage of both was left, showing their incredible speeds. Their weapons collided with a resounding clang. The echo of Dante's blades and Playful Cloud reverberated through the domain, resonating as sparks danced in the air.

At first glance, Dante seemed to have the advantage. His relentless barrage of strikes drove Toji back more and more with each blow.

However, as the intensity of the battle escalated, Dante's momentum began to weaken, and so did his attacks, losing their initial fervor against Toji's stubborn defense.

The air crackled with anticipation. Each one of their movements carried deadly force. Dante's vibrant rainbow hair trailed behind him like a faint blur in the fight. Toji continued defending with a stoic face, not showing any emotion while parrying the attacks with Playful Cloud with terrifying efficiency.

With a sudden burst of motion, his wings propelled him through the side with breathtaking speed. Toji met him charge head-on, Playful Cloud whirling in a deadly arc as he unleashed a barrage of strikes, which were easily blocked.

Toji, undeterred by Dante's offense, fought with a raw, primal ferocity that bordered on savagery. Each swing of his weapon was executed with brutal precision, the force behind his blows enough to shatter skin and bone alike.

Dante, losing more and more ground, thought, "This guy is too strong. Wasn't Gojo supposed to be the top dog here?" He began to focus on dodging and weaving around his strikes, searching for an opening or any weaknesses.

Yet one of his worst nightmares in this skirmish was slowly becoming reality. He couldn't find any opening. Realizing the dire situation, Dante quickly yelled, trying to get this guy off of him, "DAGON CANCEL YOUR DOMAIN, WE ARE INMUNE TO IT AND I DON'T THINK I CAN WIN ALONE AGAINST THIS GUY!" This information shocked everyone: 'Immunity to the pinnacle of sorcery?'

Dagon, worried about what the other might pull off, said, "But the others."

I yelled back, "Don't worry, they are weakened, and I need you to focus on supporting me. I don't gotta tell you what will happen if we don't focus on him, right?"

Dante thought while he got pinned down to the floor, sensing the difference between them, "Do I really have to spend most of my points in strength to keep up?"

I quickly open the system, spending 40% of my total points on strength and 10% on agility.

The domain was canceled, leaving Dante and Toji in the station again; Dante quickly took flight upward, trying to buy valuable time so Jogo could arrive.

"I didn't want to rush my stats," Dante muttered to himself, his voice tinged with frustration. "But beggars can't be choosers."

Mid-air, he began stretching, trying to readjust to the sudden burst of vigor he received; he had to re-learn how much strength to muster to not crash whenever he rushes at full speed, Dante said, "I just received the beating of my life like I almost died just a few minutes ago... and you know, pain isn't the best sensation nor being almost dead...

Toji didn't care about anything this girl was saying. Most exactly, he couldn't even understand. Right now, he is just a puppet with the mission of killing the strongest in the room.

Toji, driven by a sense of bloodlust, went again to rush him, his legs tensed, and with a huge leap, he propelled at Dante's position, aiming to deliver the killing blow.

Seeing how he can't defend correctly in the air, I yell, almost mocking, "Are you stupid? I can maneuver perfectly in the air, and you don't even have wings" Gracefully, Dante easily dodged the attack; seeing how his enemy was free-falling; he took his sword down in a swift arc, aiming for Toji's exposed flank.

A white blur was thrown at his position. Out of Dante's lips escaped a low "Huh?!" Because what met his gaze was a cute white snow bunny with red eyes that didn't seem to have a place in this fight.

In a sudden burst of energy, Toji stepped on the white bunny using the animal as a trampoline to leap at Dante's position; without realizing it, Dante muttered, "SHIT!"

Receiving the clean hit head-on, Dante slammed onto the hard ground as the smoke screen that the dirt created cleared, with his forehead bleeding. Irritated, he remarked. "Geez at least let me speak..."
