Chapter 35 IS THAT A BROWNIE!!!
Exiting the place, Daniel sent them a message that everyone should meet in a restaurant they had visited before. But Dante didn't know where it was.
"Location?" he wrote in the chat.
The memory loss erased everything he knew. Leaving him feeling disoriented and lost. He knew that he would have to start over from scratch, just like all the other new players, so he had to re-learn where everything was located.
Daniel replied, "I don't know where you are at, ask the system."
Dante thought in his mind, 'Wait, the system has a GPS? Wow, that's awfully convenient... don't question why.'
After following the instructions, I ended up in a restaurant with An UNBELIEVABLY VERY ORIGINAL name.
He chuckled at the familiarity of the deja vu sensation that washed over him. "Who the heck designed this?". Stepping inside, he observed everyone happily chatting.
According to what I know, The musician should be James, the robot Thalassa, the moth Su Yuan and the swordsman Daniel. They seemed like great friends, and for some reason, I felt like a third wheel.
Probably, this will disappear after talking with them.
I stood there watching them talk and laugh until a female voice called me, "Get over here and sit down. We were waiting for you." it was Su Yuan.
I felt awkward and embarrassed, clumsily mumbling, "Right, it's rude to stare. Sorry." I couldn't help but apologize before going there.
Daniel noticed his discomfort and tried to put him at ease. "It's not necessary for you to interact if you want more time, you are free to go, and if you plan to stay, you can ask whatever dish you want."
I responded, "I'm fine. I just gotta speak with y'all, and we will be friends in no time."
After sitting, the first to talk was Su Yuan, "We may have not met since long ago, BUT! We became friends really fast, I hope the same happens again."
Followed by Thalassa, "I'm not particularly proficient with motivational speeches, but I hope you can discern the intentions, and I really liked your companionship these last days. I'm looking forward to continuing our alliance." Thalassa used a very glamorous way of speaking, and her tone was too formal.
The amnesic Player gave a confused look. He didn't know why, but the robot seemed a bit... devoid of life.
As if she was reading his mind, the robot explained, "I recently died, and my soul hasn't completely fused with my new body. I lack emotions. I deeply apologize for that. I'll be back in a few days."
Ah, it explains everything. I begin asking for some food. After all, we are in a restaurant, and I'm starting to feel hungry from watching all of these fantastic dishes. As he looked over what the menu offered and all of the weird names, James began speaking, "Though we met in a-"
Seconds later, it finally hit me, "WAIT!? YOU DIED?!"
The robot nonchalantly responded to my question with a "yes" and didn't bother to elaborate further, so I had to ask, "Then how are you here? It sounds hella of history."
Thalassa responded, "I had the ability to revive once. Of course, it wasn't free. It cost me a lot of things. I temporarily lost all of my levels and many more consequences which rendered me inoperable."
He was about to ask more about it, but he remembered why he came here, "Sorry I deviated from the main point. Don't worry, guys. I may not remember everything, but we can make new memories again. Also, I kept remembering more stuff as time passed. I just remembered how Daniel tossed me like a ball to a door. Now I want to know the context of why that happened."
Daniel, a bit angry remembering the personality Dante had with that transformation, responded, "You deserved it."
A tiny laugh escaped my lips, continuing, "Anyways, I don't think I should fight anytime soon, so let's enjoy some vacations. This is also so I can get to know everyone again. Right now everyone feels like distant friends."
Su Yuan eagerly presented her idea, "Hey, I know, let's celebrate our victory by wasting our money in unnecessary stuff."
I asked her, "Are you thinking the same as me?"
Su Yuan responded, "Let's say it in 3."
In unison, we counted down.
"3"
"2"
"1"
...
"BEACH!" said Dante and Su Yuan in unison. Both of them looked at each other and laughed at the coincidence.
Thalassa asked with her robotic voice, "Why had you selected such peculiar destination?" Thalassa is just curious and actually doesn't have a problem. Her outside is waterproof. Even if her insides got wet, there wouldn't be much of a problem. A small portion of her insides are made of meat.
I responded to Su Yuan, "It was the first word that came to my mind, I have the hunch that I really liked beaches and swimming mainly the latter I could be fine with anything related to water."
James sighed, "Why did I even bother to make a sophisticated speech?" he wanted to make a good first impression, but the presentations had been forgotten by now, and it would be futile and unnecessary to remind them about it.
As they walked to the recreation place and bought a few things, Dante found something interesting in the shop.
He asked in his mind, "Is this a weed brownie?" The shop offered him a tempting experience with this item. After some brief consideration, he decided to buy one, instantly feasting it in one bite.
*Nam*
He wiped his lips with his tongue as the delicious taste of the brownie filled his mouth. Dante couldn't help but feel a tinge of disappointment. The pegasi expected the brownie to do more, but it just tasted like a brownie. Yes, it was delicious, but he expected more "IMPACT." from such food.
"I'm supposed to be a supernatural creature, so all that type of stuff won't have an effect. Wait, does that mean that alcohol?..."
After thinking about it for a few seconds, he cursed his new immunity, yet instead of lamenting about it, his attention was drawn to other items. He searched for more expensive weed brownies and wines. The costlier, the better.
For some inexplicable reason, he felt a peculiar temptation towards them. Munching on the weed brownie, sipping the recently bought wine to wash it down, he pondered, "I don't think another will do damage. I mean, they barely have effects one me... I had to eat a A LOT so I'll be okey with 10?"
