Chapter 24 New Friends... New problems

With everything taken care of, I grabbed Thalassa and Su Yuan tightly so they didn't fall. "Hey get ready, cuz I'm going full speed."

Thalassa inquired with her metallic voice, "How fast is full speed?" to her, every action has a different meaning. "Our understanding of certain concepts may differ from yours."

I thought momentarily and replied, "The last time I did this, it took me about 13 seconds to reach the sky. So, I'm guessing we'll get there between 10-15 seconds."

The robot quickly did the math using simple equations that anyone with a certain degree in math could do... V≈200M/s or more. "That seems quite fast. The clouds are kilometers away for that you must go at 2-"

Before she could finish her sentence, I tightened my grip and launched us into the sky. The intense air resistance created a semi-transparent barrier beside me as we flew upwards.

The sudden burst of speed took aback both Thalassa and Su Yuan. Thalassa's face displayed a look of surprise, while Su Yuan seemed astonished by the whole experience.

The first to talk was Thalassa, with her metallic voice, saying, "Fast." As for Su Yuan, she never imagined that this was how we were going to the sky, to be exact, at this speed.

Replying vainly, "It's nothing, but you can flatter me more if you want. I wouldn't mind it."

Just as we got close enough, I did the same TA-DAH from the last time "Welcome to my house also every blue cloud is walkable, the white ones aren't. Be careful, you may fall."

The beauty of the surroundings genuinely took Su Yuan aback. After all, this looked like the pathway to heaven, just really tiny.

She exclaimed in awe. "is really... curious?"

I eagerly opened the door, inviting them into my cozy home. It was a replica of any modern house. In the middle, you could see a dining table where Daniel was seated, enjoying his meal.

The moment we entered, Su Yuan's eyebrows lifted in surprise as she muttered, "A human?"

"Uh? is there a problem?" Dante's brain quickly imagined the worst scenario, 'does she have a problem with humans? No, it couldn't be. She was expecting me to be a human, but what-'

The moth quickly resolved the misunderstanding before it became unnecessarily big. "No, but I was expecting a non-human. Just ignore that, no offense, sorry." She inclined, demonstrating her sorrow for her actions.

As for the swordsman, he didn't mind. From the place where he comes, it is common to speak with many aliens, and some may have radical beliefs. "It's alright." He said, shrugging off the tension in the room.

We all took our seats at the table. Setting the cutlery and putting food on the dishes, The aroma of herbs and spices wafted through the air. The food wasn't costly or cheap, just something delicious that everyone could enjoy.

And this is how a robot, a moth, a pegasus, and a human ended up eating at the same table. The scene was surreal, almost plucked out of fanfiction.

Su Yuan took a sip of the special cloud water. Her eyes widened in astonishment. She pointed two of her four hands at the glass of water before asking, "You made water taste good?"

I don't know if it was a question or just a reaffirmation, but I answered anyway, "It come directly from the cloud with some sugar and more stuff I poured in."

The moth couldn't believe that such sweet water simply came out of clouds with sugar. There gotta be a trick, maybe his magic or ability.

"But hey isn...-"

...

We immersed ourselves in our conversation, chatting for 4 hours straight, sharing personal anecdotes, mainly learning about our respective past and personalities. In the conversation, Dante's doubts were confirmed. Su Yuan comes from a similar world, just a bit changed. She even recognized that this house is in Minecraft style.

As for Thalassa, she comes from a world with magic and advanced science, but she didn't want to dwell much on it, Almost as if she evaded the theme.

The robot replied to my last question, "I can eat but it's just a secondary way to get energy, I use a special food, the food is a cocktail of nutrients, proteins, minerals, salts and all the neccesites for the living tissue, my mechanical parts require less attention."

Surprised, I asked, "Wait you have meat behind that?"

Thalassa Clarified, "Yes, technically speaking, I'm a cyborg, not a robot,"

Dante found Thalassa's existence interesting, a robot made of flesh, such a weird concept. Can she get bio-hacked? Is she an AI? How does she even work?

The atmosphere shifted abruptly when Su Yuan stopped his wandering. A serious expression replaced her normally light-hearted demeanor while she whispered something to her robotic friend,

This caught me off-guard, so I inquired, "is there a problem?"

Thalassa responded to me, "Actually 2, some players entered our nest."

Without second thoughts, Dante grabbed them to bring them back to their base.

Su Yuan replied, "Thank you," muttering under her breath, "I hope they don't break many traps..."

Before leaving, I asked Daniel if he wanted to come with us, to which he replied, "Is there going to be a fight?"

Thalassa told him her plan "No we are there just to deter them unless they go really deep then we will fight, the amount of traps will make them impossible to survive there."

Daniel, acknowledging the situation, replied, "I'm not needed then."

"Okay," the wind rushed past my face as I descended rapidly, taking everyone a few hundred meters above the surface. I slowed down to a more comfortable speed because I liked the part of being alive.

Thalassa asked, curious about the speeds I used. "Why didn't you slowed there, shouldn't it be the more efficient to just stop at the ground?"

Feeling a bit embarrassed, I responded, "Long story short, I can't."

Both of them seem really puzzled. How could you now? Didn't he just do that a few seconds ago

Thalassa processed a cohesible answer with the information given, "You can't control it?"

Feeling even more ashamed, I replied, "No..."

As we were about to land in the desolate moor, Thalassa interrupted me, "Careful, there should be a lot of strings here."

Strings? I focus my gaze, managing to see a few. The strings imitated the color of the snow camouflaging in the environment. Wait, there is more HOLY, THIS PLACE IS FULL OF STRINGS.

Su Yuan reassured me so I didn't get scared. "Don't worry this is just to tell us that someone came here."

The strings su yuan used are designed to vibrate, and whenever a living thing touches one, it sends a signal to a moth that will send another signal to su yuan.

I kept descending, evading the strings until the fall wasn't dangerous. Before leaving them, I say, "Anyway, I'll go back, Let's meet tomorrow."

Su Yuan smiled and waved one of her hands. "Sure."

With the task finished, I flew to the house because I had a debt to settle. I was gonna crush Daniel in UNO. You'd see I'm quite a lucky person. After all, I wouldn't be here if I wasn't one.

...

..

.

Four days passed, with them coming to the house for a few hours daily. I kept building the house, and now it finally looks like a fancy modern house.

Apart from that, nothing much happened except that Daniel kept beating me at any game... I even made a Jenga Checkers... right now, I'm in the process of making all the necessary pieces so that we can play Dungeons and Dragons.

And thanks to the climate and contract, I made a lot of money by doing absolutely nothing, It seemed that killing other players was more lucrative than the rewards for winning.

The quantity varies a lot, ranging from 250 to 1000, and one time, I even received a whopping 3500 gold, and this is just for assistances.

Also, I made quite a mess. Let's say that certain pegasi I don't know merged a few tornadoes to get some gold, and let's say that those tornadoes ended up merging together even more, creating a huge threat to all the players on Earth.

Thalassa and Su Yuan had to move in with us, so I made a room for each of them.

Su Yuan was busy creating beautiful drawings with her strings, while Thalassa didn't seem to have many issues simply shutting down from time to time.

This was the dynamic until the recognizable page of the system appeared, bringing an alarming message "Because many players are stalling for time, an event has prepared to counteract this, you will be teleported in 1 minute."

My heart sank as I read the message and realized what was about to happen. "Shit..."

I NEED TO SAVE MY CREATIONS IN THE INVENTORY!!!
