Chapter 14 Threat

Pointless...

Futile...

Useless...

He was like a normal human, witnessing the inexorable descent of a colossal meteorite aiming toward Earth, just watching how his impending doom loomed.

There's nothing we can do about it.

And there won't be.

All of his brain acted according to a primitive need.

SELF-PRESERVATION

His entire body felt as pliable as gelatin. With his trembling hooves searching for refuge, he desperately grasped what was closer to him. He didn't know why or what he was holding.

The heavy atmosphere that it irradiated thickened. Breathing became a luxury that Dante fought for.

In the midst of this suffocating despair. He knew his inherent death was lurking around. Without a second thought, driven by an instinct for self-preservation, he hastily took an Item from his inventory.

There it was, a slender golden ticket with the Title of "Equestria At War."

*SHRED*

The world around him shifted, and with a blink, he found himself in an entirely new dimension.

Dante's senses slowly calibrated, attempting to discern his surroundings. Where an unusual spectacle unfolded in the sky, the moon and sun coexisting simultaneously.

The Structures looked like Victorian constructions, with opulent and shiny houses exuding an air of high class. Creating a stark contrast to the unfolding chaos

Suddenly, a thunderous *BOOM* resonated through the air, accompanied by the sharp crack of gunshots. The deafening shots were drowned out by the sheer shock that enveloped Dante.

His legs started to move instinctively, not because he wanted to but because of Daniel, who pulled him from the exposed space to a more secure location.

Dante's head felt the chill of a liquid trickling down. The translucid liquid dripped from his face. Daniel poured a Bottle of water into his face to bring him clarity.

"What...?" I reacted, with confusion evident in my voice.

With concern across his face, Daniel explained, "Sorry for snapping you back to this world, but I need to know where you brought us."

I managed to mutter, "E-Equestria..."

"We don't know the same things. Elaborate further." Daniel urged me calmly.

Before I can even mutter something, a shot is aimed at Daniel

his eyes and hands coated with an ethereal aura, skillfully parrying away the bullet.

His gaze turned to where the bullet came from. The source of the disturbance was revealed, and to his surprise, It was a creature of the same species as Dante, the only difference being the horn and color.

The pony exclaimed, "W-WEIRD MAGIC." followed by a strange whistle.

"Tsk." Dante quickly pulled me with him, running into the houses to take cover from the incoming shots. He might be able to block bullets, but the stress of covering from a barrage would be too much for his body.

The Earth pony from before warned his allies, "Don't get close. He doesn't have any gun but instead uses a weird magic with a sword."

Amidst the turmoil, self-doubt crept in. What am I Doing? This isn't the time for this!

I expressed with my actions and voice, "I'm back."

Daniel asked me, "Can you use magic to disable their guns?"

I reply, "I'll try."

In a burst, Daniel dashed out of the window.

My horn starts to sparkle, freezing the incoming ponies in their tracks. Daniel quickly slashed their heads with a swift strike at their throat.

"Why Didn't you use a signal to indicate me?" I said rushedly at him

"They'll expect it if we take too much time," he answered me truthfully.

"Just... Let me go back." I rushed to where we were before

Faint noises were coming from the floor.

I moved closer, opening the attic with my hooves.

*BANG* the bullet stops mid-way by a blue aura

"A unicorn?!" exclaimed a startled female pony, clutching a small child in her embrace.

Without thinking twice, she dropped the gun to the floor as she knelt, tears streaming down her face.

"Please... At least Spare her..." she pleaded, gesturing toward her frightened child.

Trying to clear the misunderstanding, I pointed to her, "I don't come to cause a ruckus. We only want to know what happened here."

She seemed confused by my words, so I continued, "I was knocked out, and I don't remember much. As you can see, my foreleg is severely damaged. And my friend over there isn't from this place."

"Are you a Supremacist, a Communist, or a Harmonist?"

Ok, WHAT! Uh... The unexpected question caught me off guard. I don't believe in dictators or communists, so I guess

I reply with some hesitation, "...harmonist?"

"Thanks, Celestia." Her face and expressions completely changed after hearing my answers.

As this chaos unfolded, two new threats lurked. The first one, A pegasus of rainbow mane, had been seeing the situation from the shadows.

About the second...

The moment Dante used the ticket to escape from what he had just watched just to get into more problems. In a faraway place, an onslaught was happening.

A girl with orange hair was searching for materials, going far away to find what she needed.

She wondered why the alchemist asked for such weird materials, but she was not an alchemist, so the only thing she could do was trust that she wasn't getting robbed in plain daylight.

Wandering in her thoughts by her almost impossible task: "The body of an alicorn or unicorn... WHERE that fuck I'm going to get that. Stupid alchemist, why do you ask for all of these weird items?"

What a pain in the ass. It's so rare to find a fucking unicorn. Now you ask me about the evolved version or whatever it is. At least it is easier than finding the soul of Dreadnought.

"Stupid alchemy... Stupid life..." The world seemed to be conspiring against her. The request for such a specific thing was like a needle in a haystack scenario.

The reason for her turmoil was that non-human players were uncommon, and he asked for a particular race that few players spec into. After all, not every day you see a pony from Equestria.

A voice cut through her exasperation, pulling her attention back to the pressing matter at hand. "I'm sorry, but I can't give you that."

The orange-haired girl replied with a blunt tone that hinted at her impatience. "Just give me the heart of your saint, and I'll go."

One of her escorts: "You dare?!"

Her patience was running out, and she wasn't very well known for having much patience. "Look, I can still spare you if you just give it to me."

The saint vehemently declared, "NEVER!" and unleashed a powerful spell, calling the incantation "Karmic Retribution," her final gambit against this foe.

"Uh?" The girl with orange hair looked up. A beam of holy energy enveloped her whole body.

With the threat neutralized, She turned her back on addressing her ally's lives.

The saint reassured them, "Don't worry, I'll heal you. Thanks for your servi-" The saint's voice was cut short by a shivering cold sensation in her stomach.

"W-What...?" You could see how a cold metal blade pierced her intestines

"H-How?..." *COUGH* Blood flowed from her mouth as her eyes dimmed, taking away the light from her eyes.

With a simple tone, she responded, "Because you're weak." The words weren't delivered with malice but as a matter of fact.

She continued, "I was expecting a lot more from that spell. I even took it seriously."

The almost lifeless body of the saint crumpled to the floor.

"Right, I must take the heart when you are alive for it to count."

"W-Wh-" She could even process the information before a sword began to cut, performing a surgery to extract her heart, although calling it a surgery was a compliment. If there were any onlookers, they would call it a butchery.

After the gruesome extraction, she took water from her inventory, methodically cleaning the blood stains. "What a boring task now to search the rest."

After performing the extraction, she departed towards the north. Sometime later on, a sudden realization struck her mind.

"SHIT!" she put her hands on her head, recalling a critical ingredient.

Yelling to the world in frustration about the stupidity she committed. "I HAD TO GET THE BODY OF A HIGH ELF"

Her face turned pale. "NOW I NEED TO GET BACK!"

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!"
