The Magician

(A Month Later) * Kaito's POV *

It's been a month since I became chunin. I'm currently working on a way to use magic instantly.

Because magic is used with your imagination, it can differ in different situations. If magic is casted in a hurry, it may be weaker or take longer to cast. Worse case, the spell will fail.

So, I've decided to make pre-casted spell. It's like how a paper bomb here works.

I'm thinking of putting a magic circle on something to store a spell but I don't know what I should use. Then it hit me. A deck of playing cards fell off my shelf and hit my head. Playing cards...yes! that will do. I'll call them spell cards.

I spent the whole night and only managed to finish a deck of spell cards.

(6 Month Later)

I've created a lot of spell cards and I have 2 decks become a set.

There are 4 suits in each deck : spades, hearts, clovers and diamonds. Each suits have 13 cards including 1 to 10, Jack, a queen and a king.

I'm having 2 decks as a sets so that there will be a total of 8 suits with 8 different colours symbolising their elemants. The 8 elements are Fire, Water, Earth, Wind, Lightning, Shadow, Light and Time.

A set would have all the 8 elements but I'll carry 2 sets or 4 decks. 2 decks will contain offence spell while the other 2 will contain other spells such as defiensive and restraining spells. Well that's how I organise my spell cards.

Now, back to the story. Today is the Hyuga Princess, Hinata's 3rd Birthday. At the same time, it's also the day that shinobis from Kumogakure have come to sign a peace treaty.

After the signing of the treaty, they have requested to attend the birthday celebration. The day they have requested to sign the treaty just so happens to be they day of Hinata's birthday, the timing was just too odd.

This cause the Hokage to become suspicious and asgined 5 chunin, including me to monitor them. We are to disguise as guest at the party.

Because of my performance, I have been assigned as the captain of this temporal team.

(After The Party)

The party have ended and most of the guest have left. Not including the shinobi form Kumo of course. Seeing this, I've become suspicious and decided to follow them. After all of the guest have left, the Kumo-nins also left.

After leaving the Hyuga compound, the head shinobi suddenly flickered away. I immediately follow him.

He went to the house of the Hyuga Head and snuck in. Then, he came out with a big black sack. Seeing this, I wrote a simple letter and tied it to a snake. I sent the snake to the Hyuga Clan Head, Hyuga Hiashi as he was the closed to my location.

After that, I continued following the Kumo-nin. Form the diflrecton he's heading to, I can guess that he's going to the forest between the border and the Hyuga Compound. He's escaping!

Just as we reach the forest, I see another group of 10 Kumo-nin hiding in the trees. What could they have stole that needs so much protection? I didn't know of course.

Just then, I appeared between them with 5 cards in each hands and said, "Do you wanna see a magic trick?." I threw a card at each of the Kumo-nin hiding in the trees.

As the reach their feets, a blue circle of light appeared under them. Two snakes made of water came out and warped around them before it freezes, restricting their movement.

Another cards appeared in my right hand and I threw it towards the Kumo-nin I was just following. A circle of purple light appeared on his chest as the card hit him and dissappear. Lightning came out of the circle and struck him. It paralyses him causing him to fall on the ground.

"tada." I said. As I said that, they stared at me dumbfounded. Can't blame them tough.

After making sure they are all immobilised, I went towards the black sack and opened it. In side it, was girl with dark blue hair.... Hinata.

I remember now! In the anime, Hiashi killed the Kumo-nin that kidnapped Hinata. The Raikage denied kidnapping Hinata and asked for Hiashi's body as compensation for killing their shinobi. But, Hizashi, Neji's father and Hiashi's twin brother died in his stead causing Neji to believe that fate cannot be changed!

Now that I've stopped them, does that mean neji will be different from the original plot? Well whatever.

Soon, Hiashi along with his brother and some other Hyuga shinobi came.

"What happened here?" seeing the restrained shinobi, Hiashi asked in shocked.

"As you can see, they have been restrained." I replied.

"Thank you. May I know your name?"

"Kaito. Sentsuki Kaito."

"Sentsuki Kaito. The genius who got first place in the Chunin Exam!"

"Bingo! I believe you guys can take it from here. I shall take my leave." I turned away and my body turned into cards. At least that's what it looks like to others.

Now that I think of it, it seems to create a mess. I'd have to find another 'exit'.
