Chapter 73: Otsutsuki Toneri's resolve.

Tsukimi watched their reactions while sitting on the throne, there was not a single change in his expressions.

Toneri Otsutsuki sighed seeing the reaction of his clan members and a look of embarrassment appeared on his face.

"Take the opportunity to gain power, there will be people from the Otsutsuki clan who will be attacking soon and you don't have the power to deal with them currently."

Tsukimi stood up as he spoke coldly looking at them like they were nothing but ants, soon his figure enveloped in light and he disappeared leaving his last words behind.

"I will be watching your performance."

Silence!

After Tsukimi left no one spoke for a few minutes before they erupted into cheers.

"Did you not hear what he just said?" Toneri's cold voice echoed in the room and everyone once again turned silent.

"We were only spared temporarily, if we do not perform according to him, he can kill us at any time."

Toneri's words made their scalp go numb. No one expected that there would be such a day where they would have to be servants of other people let alone a tailed beast but now this was their reality.

All the happiness they were feeling vanished in smoke and they waited for Tonieri to speak further.

No one looked down on Toneri for being young or for the fact that he supported the other side not long ago.

They were now in the same boat and Toneri was the person who seemingly understood what the 'Ten tails' wanted from them.

He was personally crowned the clan head by that beast. How can they have any dissatisfaction?

"We have to gain power first, just like he said the Otsutsuki will be coming soon and we can also fulfill the ancestor's wish of guarding the planet."

Hearing those words the eyes of the people of Otsutsuki clan gleamed and they thought of the task their ancestor gave him and now they finally had the opportunity to fulfill it.

"We need to charge the Energy vessel too, the previous clan head wasted some of the energy stored in the vessel. Fortunately that man did not take too much time to kill him before he could use more." Hearing his words the rest of the people nodded in unison agreeing with the matter.

After assigning roles to the people left in their clan Toneri sat on the throne nad closed hsi eyes.

He still sometimes felt as if all of this was a dream. He had suddenly become a clan head.

Half of his clan members died, as sad as he was, that was the truth he could not deny. He could not make them change their decisions as he knew how stubborn these people were when it comes to their founder.

Toneri sighed but soon his expression changed when he sensed the seal in his mind moving. He thought that he would die because someone either betrayed or the tailed beast went back on it's word but suddenly something happened.

He looked deep in his mind and realized that the seal was not damaging his soul but instead it was purifying his bloodline.

After a short part of the impurities in his bloodline was removed, Toneri heard a message in his mind.

"This is just the starting gift I am giving you so that you don't die early. Help me finish the task I will give you in the future you will receive more of such gifts."

How could he not recognise whose voice that was? It was none other than the fox they had encountered a few hours ago and now he received such a priceless gift.

Toneri's eyes gleamed with a sharp light as he thought of the possibility of gaining power equal to the level of his founder in the future. He could feel his heartbeat speeding up at a crazy rate.

Sighing he decided to calm himself and thought of the situation he was in. He was tempted with the strength he was given. If he could keep purifying his bloodline he might even contend against the main branch of the Otsutsuki clan.

Who didn't want more power, he just like the others wanted power to protect himself. Especially after he just realized how powerless they truly were.

He closed his eyes before opening them. They gleamed with determination and will to grow stronger.

After dealing with the work in Otsutsuki clan Tsukimi returned back to earth and looked through the whole Konoha searching for his wives.

Finding them relaxing in their room in their adult forms he disappeared and reappeared in front of them.

Since he was in his original adult appearance he did not have to change anything.

Seeing Tsukimi appear out of nowhere Matatabi jumped at him to hug him but she suddenly felt the direction she was going change.
