"I don't think he's in his room, Cait..." A platinum-blonde girl sullenly said to a black curvaceous woman.

"Is that so? Then he must at the swing by the back. Don't worry about it, Vicky. I'll call him-" The woman was interrupted by Vicky before she could finish what she was saying.

"OH! I'll call him, no biggie!" Before Caitlyn, one of the caretakers of the orphanage could reply, Victoria was already zooming towards the playground behind the building.

"No using your Quirk, Vick- Oh, like hell she'll listen." Cait called out before stopping herself and saying the last bit under her breath.

Lionel's ears twitched as he heard the conversation between the two and immediately bolted up and parkoured up a tree near the swings. Not a second later, Victoria, aka Vicky, arrived looking for him.

'Yeah... the more I learn about her, the more I dread about this world.' Lionel thought as he watched from above as VIctoria zoomed around the playground. 'Victoria Dallon. Vicky. Or known as Glory Girl from Worm. Shit. Is this a crossover world? Is she maybe a reincarnated person too? How did she get here? Are the entities coming? Fuck!'

Yeah. Lionel was panicking big time.

'No... I need to calm down and think about things thoroughly. While this world is a lot similar to the Wormverse, it's entirely different altogether. Quirks are entirely biological and can be inherited, unlike the shard-powers of Worm where you'll get an offshoot, and that too isn't guaranteed. Shit, there might be the conflict drive but... no, it's safe to say that there aren't conflict drives on those who have Quirks. If we did, then the world should've ended by now. And Quirks don't manifest under stress or stuff like that. Based on what I read, they just naturally appear. Normally at birth till 4. Above 4 years old is possible but these are rare cases. So... phew! I'm positive Endbringers aren't gonna pop up and Entities aren't coming.'

Lionel finished calming himself down and did that mental discussion between he, himself, and I in under just a few seconds.

'Then... this world must have a mish-mash version of characters from different media!..... Oh, who am I kidding? this must all be just a big coincidence.'

.

.

'Fuck' Lionel thought as he looked at the girl being introduced to them by Caitlyn.

"Everyone! This is Amelia Lavere and she'll be your new sister! Take care of her, okay?" Different sounds of approval were the replies of the other children while Lionel grimaced in his mind while looking bored and Victoria wasn't paying attention and was just glaring at Lionel's back.

'First, Glory Girl. Now, Panacea? And her surname is Lavere! Shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit'

Amelia had an awkward smile on her face as she took in the boys and girls in front of her. On the corner of her eyes though, she saw a boy silently moving away and walking back into the orphanage with a floating girl glaring at his back.

'Alright, I'm definitely in a fictional world. This isn't some alternative earth with superpowers. Amelia Lavere and Victoria Dallon? No shot that that's a coincidence. Is everybody here some character from some novel or manga? Shit. Am I a character in a webnovel?! Hmmmm... high chance that I am. Ugh.'

Lionel continued thinking for a long while as he sat on a couch in a lounge area. Victoria standing beside him, glaring, and the new girl, Amelia, looking at the two of them from the doorframe.

"Why are you avoiding me?!" Vicky questioned the lion-boy. Said boy only glanced at her in confusion "Do I know you?" 'Can't deal with this right now! Acting Skill, It's your time to shine!'

"W-What?! I met you yesterday! At the library??" Was bewildered and shocked response of Vic. Amelia tilted her head in confusion. 'They don't know each other?'

"Huh?" Was the reply of Lionel who spotted Amelia and also tilted his head. Then, he abruptly pointed at the window and said "Hey! Isn't that Star and Stripe!?"

The two girls' heads couldn't turn any quicker and looked through the window only finding... empty air. The adrenaline and excitement exited their veins just as fast but when they turned back, Lionel was gone.

"I owe you a favor, SAS." Lionel said to no one in particular as he did one-hand push-ups. It's been a few hours since the funny skit and he just finished replaying the scene in his mind. 'I can't believe it worked. Another point to this world being fictional and anime.'

Lionel then switched arms and did more single-hand push-ups.

'Hmmmm Maybe Clara, Stella, and their mom Stelar are from pieces of media too... But where have I heard the name Stella from... It's familiar, I just can't remember where I heard it...'

His musing was stopped by a knock at this door. WIth a quick exertion of his arm, he flipped back on his feet and opened the door, revealing Amelia.

The girl looked like she was about to say something before her eyebrows furrowed. "Why are you naked and all sweaty?"

Lionel looked down and saw that he was topless and was indeed drenched in sweat. "Oh, I was playing around in the playgrounds earlier. I'm in the middle of changing." He lied as naturally as he breathed.

Seeing nothing wrong with the boy's explanation, Amelia shook her head. "Anyway, Ms. Caitlyn asked me to call you for dinner." Lionel nodded in response.

"Kay. I'll just wipe down and change clothes."

Which she replies

"I'll wait for you... or not, if you-"

Lionel was already done changing. "Let's go. I'm Lionel. It's nice to meet you, Amelia" He introduced himself with a handshake which she took. "........"

The two stood in the corridor with Amelia having a blank and dreamy look while Lionel awkwardly stood there. 'Is she looking at my biology?' "E-Ehem"

"Ah! I-I'm Amelia....................."

"You can let go of my hand now, Amelia."

The girl jolted in her feet and quickly let go of Lionel's hand. Luckily, she was saved from that awkward moment due to Caitlyn turning the corner in the end of the corridor looking for them because they took to long and dinner has already started.
