74 Chapter 74

"Mr. Cedric, we already know the things you told us."

'Eh!' Jack was surprised by what Fury said, because the things he told were just a myth, Hogwarts didn't exist in this world.

"What we want to know is, are we safe from your people?" - Fury asked with an intimidating tone.

To Fury, Cedric might be a good person, but not his people, like every other person on Earth, they might have some ambition and normal people might suffer.

Jack understood this, how could he help Fury trust his 'people', they didn't even exist to begin with.

'Sigh, I have to speak one lie to hide another one.'

"Mr.Nick Fury, what you are saying is impossible to imagine, for as long as we know, it's been your people who have been burning us alive on stake." - Said Cedric.

"I cannot guarantee about any other wizard, but you won't be having any problems from me, I am and will always be by the side of justice, to tell you the truth, our society doesn't mess with muggles anyway." - said Cedric, as he used his magical powers to bring the temperature back to normal, he is now able to induce minor magical phenomena with just his will and magical powers.

"That's good...And there is another thing." - Fury didn't take the matter further and shifted the topic.

"Mr.Cedric-"

"Call me Cedric" - Jack

"Cedric, I am here for you, I am building a team, a team of people that will help us fight the threats that normal people can't fight" - Fury took out a file and gave it to Cedric.

Jack wasn't surprised when he saw the top-secret file named Avengers Initiative, the only thing that gave the Hydra members a headache.

Cedric already knew a lot, but decided to check the file nonetheless. In the file were the names and details of various members, Jack opened the File on Hulk or Bruce banner, under the last location was a single sentence.

'So the SHIELD has also been keeping an eye on me.' thought Jack, he threw the file on the table and looked at Fury who was waiting for Jack's answer. Fury was sure that Jack would immediately agree to be a part of something, he had seen the guy saving people left and right without a thought, Once Cedric was on board, he will ask him about Hulk and the other guy that's been the talk of the town, Blitz.

"This is good and all, but how do I know you won't be using me for your own gains?" - asked Cedric.

"What do you mean by that?" - Fury asked.

"What I mean is, every organization has their own dirty people, what if I want to go against them? what if something you do goes against my principals."  - asked Cedric

"Your principals! Dude, you been going around all over New York on your flying stick and throwing papers on people without minding their privacy, as for dirty people, our organization is as clean as it can be, no one will dare to use SHIELD for their own benefits."

- Fury rebuked Cedric.

"Besides, with us by your side, The government will not mess with you, you are already on their radar."

"Government!"

Cedric was surprised by what Fury said, it seemed like the Government had nefarious thoughts on him, he knew now that he had to do something, although the government didn't have anything on him, he still had connections that the government could take advantage of.

Fury couldn't help but smile in victory , although Jack had trained himself, keeping calm and showing a poker face wasn't one of them.

"Alright, you can consider me a part of this...Avengers thing, but I will not be doing your dirty work or anything like that, is that good." - asked Jack in an assertive manner.

"Good enough for now, you won't regret it, if you have any problems, you can talk to us. Now, I would be very happy if you could tell me all you can about your people and if you can sell us some things from your community, I believe cures aren't the only things they have." - Fury asked.

Jack talked with Fury for a while and also sold him some stuff, with this out of the way, Jack returned to his home and took a shower before calling it a day.

As Jack slept on his comfy bed, the Hand was making it's moves in Hells Kitchen, Madam Gao welcomed Nobu who came along with several elite ninjas, several of them were much stronger the Hanzo.

"Are you sure that we need so many Ninja to deal with one human."

"Haha! he isn't a normal human, I have seen him fight, he is immature, but very dangerous...he killed Hanzo not directly, but Hanzo still died in the end, we can use his naivety to nip him in the bud, the chaste has been recruiting member, I am sure someone will try and contact him." - Gao explained. She had seen what one man had done to them.

He alone was equal to an army of ninjas, it was better to kill him when he was still small, rather then wait for their own death.
