Chapter 316

Makarov didn't wait long and choose the members for the team A, it was decided without much hassle, everyone shouted in happiness.

Once that was done, Makarov eyed the two new members of Fairy tail with a hint of intelligence in his eyes, he had clearly something up his sleeve and Jack knew just what it was.

He secretly called in some people to the shabby office and it included the two new members,

Once Jack and Jean were inside the office, they also greeted the other members of the soon-to-be team B with a smile which was reciprocated mostly except for Juvia who seemed to be spouting something about rivals and love.

"Ahem! Now that you are all here, it is time we discuss the placement of the team B," Makarov smiled as he watched the shocked expression of his children bar the two new ones.

"It seems like you knew about this," asked Makarov with a smile.

"I had a guess, so who are the members, So, who are the members of the team B, we are clearly above the count," asked Jack in return.

"Of course it's those that are stronger, we will have a battle and those that can win will be allowed to join the team B," Makarov replied.

Jack smiled in return and said nothing, the team A was busy packing for the travel ahead while all the members of team B were secretly heading to the back of the mountain for their selection.

Normally Jack wouldn't have participated in such a small magic competition, it was beneath someone of his power, but since there were some rewards to be had, he didn't shy away and joined in.

Plus, Jean was looking forward so that was another reason for him to go all out to get a place in the grand magic games.

Within no time, everyone was drawing a number from the box to see who will match up with who.

Jack Vs Jellal

Lexas Dreyar Vs Cana Albareno

Gajeel vs Jean Grey

Mirajane Strauss vs Juvia Lockster

Needless to say, everyone was pumped up to fight, meanwhile, the members of the first fight were looking at each other as the magic around them danced wildly.

Jack smiled in anticipation as he looked at Jellal who was disguised as Mystogan for the team B, he had no doubt that the man was Jellal.

Everything was clear to him like a book,

For this match he had decided to use the Sacred gear, although he had released Ddraig from this prison, it didn't mean he couldn't use the said abilities.

Jack smiled as his body shimmered in a red energy, with a flash of light, his body was covered in beautiful crimson scales.

The sound of the all powerful dragon shocked the onlookers as Jack's body emitted a terrifying pressure, the sounds of a dragons roar reverberated.

"Are you ready?" Jack asked with a smile, taunting Jellal to come and fight him, the provocation was successful as Jellal pulled out a staff from his back.

Though before he could use it, a terrifying kick struck him, sending him crashing into the trees.

"Don't mock me with these fake spells, come at me with your real power, Jellal," Jack smiled as he taunted Jellal.

Who was first surprised by Jack's sudden taunt before he smiled, removing his cover as everyone looked at Mystogan who was actually Jellal.

"Its him!"

The few members who knew of Jellal shouted in surprise while Makarov had a look of seriousness on his face.

He felt the pressure being emitted by Jack and his brows couldn't help but lift in surprise.

"He….is hella strong!" He shouted,

Meanwhile, Gajeel who had been silent all along, suddenly couldn't keep his composure as he looked at Jack's new form.

Crimson red scales that reflected the moonlight, a pair of dark red wings on his back and those horns.

"He….is a dragon!" Gajeel stated as he sniffed.

Although it wasn't of his own old man, he could feel it, this man was a dragon in a human skin.

Everyone was shocked by this huge revelation, even Makarov couldn't help but ask Jean.

"Is that true?" He asked.

One could say that they had been beaten rather badly by the dragons once and didn't want a second time.

"Hmm, you guys have dragon slayers, I thought you must have seen dragons as well, and Jack isn't just and dragon is the Domination Dragon King,"

The crowd gasped, Jellal on the other hand had already been dealt a few blows and could barely stand by now.

"Is that all, I expected more from someone like Jellal the great," asked Jack.

"Hufff….I guess I will have to use that move," Jellal who had been battered for a while couldn't hold it in any longer as he used one of the strongest spells in his arsenal.

Celestial body magic: Meteor shower.

The sky lit up in golden yellow light,

"I hope you can take this," Jellal said as he finally fell, the spell took effect as countless meteors started descending towards them.

Makarov who saw this couldn't help but get surprised.

He knew Jellal was stronger than before, but this was on another level, he was probably as strong as a Number one wizard saint.

"Everyone get to cover," he shouted.

"No need, this small attack, Jack can easily take care of it," Jean who stood confidently said with a smile as she looked at Jack who had soared into the skies.

His body expanding as he finally let out a giant roar filled with the crimson perishing flames.

His body changed to that of a dragon as a pillar of flames swept the sky, burning everything in sight as the meteors made of magic disintegrated into nothingness.

"This…" Gajeel and the others were shocked as they saw the display of strength.

Jack turned back into his human form as he went back to the ground,

"Haha! That was a fun battle, he will make Madara proud," Jack joked as he healed Jellal who was lying on the ground.

The whole area was quiet before a shout broke the silence.

"Fight me!" Gajeel shouted as he ran towards Jack.

Though he was soon covered in an area of fire that caused him to sweat.

"How about you fight me first.. dragon slayer," Jean replied.

Jack didn't pay it any mind as he healed Jellal and then set him down to rest against a tree.

Like that, Jack had established his place in the team B and probably in the hearts of everyone in magnolia who had seen his dragonly body.
