Chapter 142...Morals of a hero

The next week I spent my time on the streets, sweeping all criminals that had weapons made by the tinkerer, that's what I have decided to call him.

He even liked the name I gave him so that's that, though now a days he is a little down and I also noticed a bunch of men moving around in circles near where my base is, which means that one of the techs that we confiscated has a unique signature to it and can be tracked.

I was able to have him confess to his crimes, as it turns out he has a very sad past, he is just a guy who is trying to help his sister, apparently she is suffering from some kind of accident, He told me that he is a mutant and that his ability is to make anything as long as he has the required materials for it.

His sister was a victim of one of his failed experiments and just as she was about to lose her life, a person came in time to save her, although temporarily, he put her in some kind of cryo chamber, now this guy is indebted to that person and the said person had him.

The guy was just acting on his brotherly love so I didn't have anything against him, he pleaded to me to let him go, that if he didn't go, then the guy who has his sister might not be willing to help him anymore or worse.

Seeing him plead like that was very burdening for me, he wasn't actually a villain or a bad guy, just a guy forced by circumstances, if I had a sister that needed my help, I am sure I would do anything for her.

But I couldn't just let him go like that and I didn't want guilt like that on my conscious so I decided to take the third option.

I had a clone of mind change into this guy and gave him all the equipment, now I was the Tinkerer, a new player in the underworld.

Though I was able to keep damage to the minimum, by providing malfunctioning or defective products to my buyers, I can only hope that this memyaterious person will meet me once he sees that I am not doing a good job.

After a week of my clone playing as a fake Tinkerer, we were finally contacted by the mystery man as me and the real tinkerer.

I also contacted The X-Men and let them know I had a mutant they could take in, Charles told me he would be happy to take the boy in, and that he had something he needed help with as well.

"I won't be going anywhere as long as my sister isn't safe and sound." Yelled Ricky, the Tinkerer as he looked at me seriously.

"I am not saying that you need to go now, calm down, we will be rescuing your sister, I just need to follow your mysterious guy and get back your sister, as for saving her life, I can do that, haven't you seen my website, huh!" I explained to him.

This calmed him down a bit, I should have started with that,

"And this Charles Xavier, who is he?, some kind of madlad-"

"He is an idiot, but he is also a good person, at least I think so, he protects people like you and helps them find a place in this world, more like hide in this world, anyway you will be safer with him." I told him, he nodded at me and fell silent.

My clone was currently about to meet this mysterious man, so I was getting ready to move in and intervene.

It didn't take long before the man appeared, escorted by a dozen security guards in a very heavy duty car,

"Seems like a normal human from his chakra signature." I say to myself.

Though his guards were another story, they had a murky green to them, normal humans have a normal green.

I waited for the man to come out and meet my clone.

*Beep beeep*

The door slowly openwd and came out someone that surprised me to my core.

"You had one job!" yelled Oscorp as he walked towards my clone.

'What is Oscorp doing over here?, does he know about mutants as well, hmm.'

I waited for Oscorp to do something all he did was massage his head with his two fingers while looking at my clone who was performing an Oscar level acting.

"I- i did what you asked of me to do?!" yelled my clone as it pointed at the men behind Oscorp, they had the same weapons that the criminals were using.

'Oscorp had Tinkerer make him batches of weapons of different levels, does Osborn want a private army of his own.'

"Do you think you did me a favor, huh!" Osborn spoke gravely as he stood in front of my clone, looking down at him.

"Remember well that the life of your sister is in my hands, if it werent for me,she would already be dead, hmph." Osborn scoffed as my clone looked at the ground.

"Do it." I communicated with my clone who couldnt help but chuckle.

"Whats so funny?" asked Osborn, though he recieved the scare of his life the next moment as a pair of weird eyes with patterns that could only be described as beautiful yet terrifying were revealed.

Osborn was now under a genjutsu his guards noticed something wrong as Osborn who was holding the cigar in his free hand suddenly let it go.

I used kunais and covered them in Lightning chakra before throwing them at the guards, effectively getting rid of them, didn't kill them since I dont know if they are just guards or scum.

I walked out of hiding and we greeted each other.

"I had it under control." he said.

"I know, but it doesn't hurt to get helped, right." I replied.

The clone just chuckled as he looked at me and then at the drooling Osborn.

"You are going to read his mind, aren't you?" the clone asked me.

"Are you going to judge me for that!" I questioned him, he shrugged.

"If i judge you, that means I am judging myself as well." the clone replied.

"I know I said I wouldn't read minds unless it was really necessary but I really need to do it, what if Ricky loses his sister in the process of me trying to be the goody two shoes, huh!" I retorted.

"Like I said, go ahead, do it." My clone rushed me.

"Fuhhh! alright, I will just use Legiliemency and read his surface thoughts and try to locate Ricky's sister, and since you are me, you will do it since you are already talking to him, just bring him out of the Genjutsu, alright." I told my clone, who just shrugged at that.

"What ever you say boss." he replied and cancelled the Jutsu as I immediately concealed myself.
