139 138. Fight

They both arrived at the training and King had already told Ororo telepathically to empty the training ground for them.

'But this isn't what you call empty.' King looked around and saw a grand platform around the training ground and students sitting on there.

'They made us into a show.' King's eyes twitched when he saw the students cheer for the two competitors.

"Hehe, Let's do this." Rogue was even more hyped from the cheers and clapped her hands together in enthusiasm for the fight.

Now she was fired up for real. She couldn't wait to start the fight and make King eat the dust with her powers.

"You know, I can mop the floor with you." She said confidently and looked at King provocatively.

"Oh yeah, let's see then." King looked at her with narrowed eyes and folded his arms in front of his chest.

'First of all, we need a barrier for the students.' King thought and then he created a barrier to encompass the stands around the training ground.

This way, even if they fired a universe ending attack. It will remain in this training ground and won't spread to anywhere else.

"Begin." Ororo alleared outside the barrier and shouted with a smirk on her face when she saw that they had finished speaking to each other.

"Take this." Rogue shouted and fired eye lasers at King.

King replied back with the same attack and fired eye lasers of his own. Both of them cancelled each other out.

"What about this." Rogue suddenly teleported close to him and punched him.

She had copied quite a lot of powers over the years and she had a huge repertoire of powers up her sleeve.

Flight, regeneration, lasers, strength, teleportation, just name it and she had it. She was like sous chef of powers.

"Not so fast." King caught her fist and generated a shockwave that riled up the training ground and caused a small shake on the ground.

Then he kicked her in the gut but Rogue teleported away before it connected. Then she looked at him and her eyes glowed.

"Aaaaa." Rogue clutched her head and rolled on the ground in pain.

"Well that was over before it even started." King shrugged his shoulders and flicked his finger to heal the damage to her mind.

She had tried to deal damage to his mind with telepathy but that backfired because he mental defences were way above what anyone could contend with.

"Let's continue and this time, try not to use telepathy on me." King smirked sadistically and flashed towards her before punching her in the gut.

"Not so fast." Rogue used her super speed and dodged the attack before delivering another punch towards King.

Her arm was glowing and it didn't look like a simple punch this time. It was a photon blast that she had copied from one of the mutants in the institute.

"Oh, impressive." King modded his head and narrowly dodged the photon blast from her.

He was keeping himself at the same strength level as her. He wasn't being unfair in this fight by being way stronger than her.

It didn't end there though as multiple more photon blasts started heading his way and Rogue was also pulling straight up boulders from the ground to use with her telekinesis.

King was dodging everything left, right and center. She couldn't even touch his clothes much less give him a good impact.

Rogue narrowed the distance with him and used the photon energy on her feet and tried to knee him in the face.

King quickly caught her knee and tried to spartan kick her in the chest but Rogue spun on the spot and delivered a fireball to his face.

King let her go and defended the attack while backing up.

Rogue spun on the spot and delivered another photon blast to his body and distanced herself with the help of the force from the attack.

"Enough defending, now I'll attack." King smiled and suddenly stomped the ground and shot off at her like a rocket.

Rogue tried distance herself and fired photon blasts at him but King just narrowly dodged them all and appeared in front of her.

He charged his whole body with photon energy and quickly discharged it all like Godzilla's atomic discharge.

A photon wave passed from his body and spread to the surroundings. Which gave Rogue no room to dodge and she was struck with a good hit.

Rogue went rolling on the ground but she quickly got up while doing the same as King and got herself into the before she kept flying there.

Then she pointed her fingers at him and fired photon lasers out of her fingers. She was using them like pistols.

King ducked and rolled through the bullets Darksouls style and quickly narrowed the distance before lightning was fired from his arm and straight through her body which made her numb.

"You lose." He took the chance of her numbness and had Chastiefol pointed at her neck.

'Cheers.'

Cheers rang through the stadium. When the students saw the end of the fight. They were all impressed.

"I could do better." One guy couldn't help saying that.

"I'm sure you could. Just hold the pants that are falling first." His friend rolled his eyes at him and looked at the training grounds with shining eyes.

"Winner, Chairman King." Ororo announced and another wave of cheers went through the stadium with even bigger enthusiasm than before.

'Ororo, you are getting out of hand.' King said to Ororo telepathically with his mind.

'Heh, serves you right. You didn't even bother to come to me when you came to the campus.' Ororo snorted in her mind and mocked him full well.

She was waiting that he might come over to meet her when he came to campus but came over twice and didn't come to her both times.

She was pissed and she was making a show out of it. He asked for an empty ground and she filled it full of students.

'Alright my bad, I'll make it up to you tomorrow.' King relented and said in his mind.

'You better.' Ororo gave him the side eye and said.
