Seeing the strange attire of the man before him and the odd target symbol on his forehead, Su Mu immediately recognized his identity: Bullseye! The knife that had just been thrown was undoubtedly his doing.
Recalling Bullseye's background, Su Mu knew that in many versions, Bullseye served under Kingpin. This sneak attack must also be under Kingpin's orders.
For anyone else, even other superhumans, Bullseye's precise skills with thrown knives could be lethal. But Su Mu was different. Even though his energy was almost completely depleted, he could still rely on the Six Eyes to track and dodge Bullseye's attacks!
But what gave Bullseye the confidence to think that a mere human, no matter how skilled, could assassinate him?
Bullseye stared at the white-haired man before him. Strong—unbelievably so. Just a moment ago, he had aimed right at the man's head, but even in his weakened state, the man had evaded his throw.
Bullseye's knives were crafted with a small amount of adamantium alloy, making them almost unbreakable and able to pierce nearly anything. With this special material, his thrown knives could even approach supersonic speeds!
If the white-haired man was at full strength, Bullseye wouldn't dare to get close, but now, things were different.
"It seems that terrifying attack earlier drained you significantly, even slowing down your reflexes. At full strength, I'd stand no chance, but now… Haha, killing such a powerful opponent myself—what a thrill!"
Bullseye's entire body trembled with excitement. As a top assassin, what could be more exhilarating than bringing down a high and mighty figure?
Yet, to his surprise, the man in front of him wasn't fazed at all, as if he considered Bullseye's threat nonexistent—almost like a weakened tiger still able to slaughter any cat that dared to challenge it. In truth, the gap between them was even greater than between a tiger and a cat.
A sense of unease surged in Bullseye. He quickly threw more of his adamantium knives, most of which Su Mu dodged, though one managed to graze him. This gave Bullseye a slight sense of relief.
Su Mu, while using his remaining energy to strengthen his body and avoid the attacks, quickly noticed the unique material of the knives and realized that this unusually sturdy metal was the reason Bullseye had managed to break through his defenses.
But he remained untroubled. What arrogance for a mere human to challenge him—he was no Iron Man!
Unperturbed, Su Mu asked, "Did Kingpin send you to kill me?"
Bullseye didn't answer, instead quickening the pace of his attacks and even pulling out a gun to shoot. But thanks to the Six Eyes, Su Mu easily dodged all of it.
Even without Bullseye's answer, Su Mu continued studying his opponent's movements through the Six Eyes, confirming his assumption. He asked again, "If you tell me where Kingpin is, I'll spare you. What do you say?"
Bullseye responded with even faster attacks, mocking, "You're struggling to protect yourself, yet you still talk about sparing me? Go to hell!"
With that, he pulled out a rocket launcher and fired at Su Mu.
As the explosion engulfed Su Mu in flames, Bullseye finally let out a sigh of relief. Surely that must have killed him. Even a weakened white-haired man was such a challenge to bring down.
A satisfied grin crossed Bullseye's face. Taking down a powerful opponent was exhilarating!
"You seem pleased with yourself. Think it's over?"
The voice coming from within the flames froze Bullseye's smile. He heard the sound of the wall shattering and then, that ominous voice continued,
"I'm giving you one last chance. Tell me where Kingpin is, and I'll make your death quick!"
In disbelief, Bullseye looked toward Su Mu's direction. As the smoke cleared, the man stood unharmed, with fragments of shrapnel hovering in mid-air, unable to approach him, just like the bullets before.
Su Mu's hand reached into the sewer wall, his injuries healing rapidly as the dim lighting around him grew even darker.
Bullseye finally realized: Su Mu was absorbing electrical energy!
"You… you have another mutant ability!"
Realizing the severity of the situation, Bullseye turned and fled with all his might.
"Damn it! He actually has another mutant ability—energy absorption, no less, which lets him replenish his energy quickly! Who could possibly stand against him now?
"Damn Kingpin! I'm done with this job; whoever wants to die can go!"
But a terrifying pull came from behind. Despite his physical superiority to an ordinary human, Bullseye found himself completely powerless to resist.
In desperation, he was pulled back to Su Mu, who then twisted his limbs with a terrifying gravitational force, rendering him utterly defenseless.
...
When the rocket launcher came close, Su Mu immediately absorbed the kinetic energy from the knives, as well as energy from the sunlight, and used the Limitless Technique to reinforce himself. He plunged his arm into the sewer wall, gripping the electrical cables to absorb their energy.
Massive amounts of electricity poured into him, reactivating his Reverse Cursed Technique and Limitless Technique, restoring him to his peak state. The adamantium knife lodged in him was pushed out by newly regenerated flesh and clattered to the ground as his wounds healed in an instant.
Seeing Bullseye attempting to flee, Su Mu smiled brilliantly, extending a hand and murmuring playfully, "Universal Pull."
After dragging Bullseye back and twisting his limbs into a pretzel, Su Mu asked once more,
"So, have you reconsidered? Just tell me, and I'll make this quick."
Bullseye stared at the white-haired demon before him, those stunning blue eyes beneath white lashes mocking him. For some reason, he saw a faint, ominous crimson in those beautiful eyes.
...
Su Mu then proceeded to shred Bullseye's broken body, leaving only pieces of adamantium alloy scattered around, confirming that he indeed had no knowledge of Kingpin's whereabouts.
*(PS: Bullseye has some adamantium alloy integrated into his skeleton.)*
Kingpin was known for being highly cautious, with a different residence every day. Even his closest confidants were never privy to his next location.
Su Mu slipped his hands into his pockets and walked away, letting the floating blood and fragments fall to the ground behind him.
Though he hadn't uncovered Kingpin's exact location, it didn't matter.
With the Six Eyes' continued upgrades, his observational range and abilities would keep expanding.
Once his reach covered all of New York, he could crush Kingpin with a mere flick of his hand!
The cables from the sewer walls, under the influence of Su Mu's gravitational control, continued floating around him, feeding him energy.

Energy Absorption was about to reach Lv3, his first skill to do so!
What kind of transformation would it undergo after reaching Lv3?
Would there be some unknown metamorphosis?
