Hospital bills

She paced up and down the hospital corridor, a bed nest is the best way to describe her hair's condition.

She waste no time in halting any human in white coat, who pass her by.

But non of them seems to have her time they could only ignore her.

Callista couldn't bear it any longer, she was about to create a scene, when a old doctor emerge, she quickly held him, looking into his eyes questioningly.

"I .....,(sigh), see me at the office" the old doctor said looking exhausted.

Callista sat down on the chair facing the old man, in long white coat, with a stethoscope hanging on his neck.

His face focused on the white papers before him.

Callista sat there head down as she fiddle with her fingers.

"Sorry mrs Baldwin, for keeping you waiting" the doctor said politely.

" Ha, no problem sir, it's okay with me" she said smiling nervously and the doctor nodded

" Bellezzia will have to undergo a major surgery as soon as possible, else am afraid something terrible would happen" the old doctor said concerned, and callista sigh looking down worried.

" The only way I could support is the free treatment but, the surgery is way out of my league" the old doctor said

"It's okay, doctor Adam you already help us alot, I really appreciate your kindness" callista said smiling and the doctor nodded.

The doctor stared at callista worried.

"However ,her chances of survival is 50/50(fifty/fifty)" the doctor said worried

Callista couldn't help the tear which escaped her eye.

"What did you mean?" she asked breathless, her voice came out trembling and sobby.

" Bellezzia, may not survive the surgery, also I detected she has been depressed, make sure to make her happy, who knows she might survive" the old doctor said with a serious face

She knew the doctor was only trying to make her feel better, her baby, her belle, she is going to die.

She couldn't help the tears falling from her eyes.

she tried her best to hold it in, but she couldn't help it and there goes the outburst.

She cried as the horrible image of her Bellezzia in a coffin appear before her as she scream loudly.

Callista walk towards the reception, she eye swollen from crying, just yesterday she had requested to quit her job, but now will she even dare to do that.

She stared at the bills in her hand, the surgery bill, being a single mother is not a piece of cake, she thought.

"Mommy!!!!" A cute feminine babish voice called, and callista back , there was a mother and daughter duo.

The girl hugged her mother as they both walk past,her talking abt getting ice cream and going to the amusement park.

Then she remembered.......

A month ago

She walked towards her daughter smiling, and picked her up and pecked her forehead, " awwwn, my baby girl, did you missed mummy, while she was gone" callista asked the cute little girl,and she nodded smiling.

"Oh my baby girl, let's go get some ice cream, cotton candy, everything you want, Even more dolls" callista said smiling and Bellezzia screamed happily.

Callista and Bellezzia walk towards a sweet shop.
