"how dare he call me that?" she said to herself, ' or could he be that miss Grace already told him about Chris, was that why he thought lowly of me and called me names ' she thought but even though it was not her fault that she was raped and she had a child from it, with that thought more tears fell from her eyes

the receptionist was stunned, did she just call her bitter? before she could come back to herself Jane had already left, she felt humiliated and didn't say anything

"good morning Slyvia, please where is Zain" she asked hurriedly

"good morning he went to get some files just now, any problem?" Slyvia asked

after about five minutes, Zain walked into the office he caught sight of Jane and quickly walked to her, as he stepped closer he noticed her puffy eyes

"Jane what's wrong, did you come with the president?, and what's wrong have you been crying, why are your eyes red?" Zain asked her worriedly

seeing Zain worrying over her like that, Slyvia felt a pinch in her heart, the others were also suprised at the sight, they've never seen Zain with a girl before, tacha noticed Sylvia's countenance and left her seat to be with her

"did you tell Mr Christopher or anyone for that matter that you and I are in a relationship?" Jane spoke with husky voice that have grown weak from crying

Zain was stunned at the question, he thought he asked Mr Christopher not to say anything, beads of sweat formed on his forehead in an instant, he was afraid at how she would react if he tells her the truth ' oh he was fucked, she would be so mad at him '

"did you?" Jane asked again seeing that he was silent

"uhhmm Jane the thing was I didn't mean that way, I didn't know what to say so I just said what came to my mind you have to believe me, I didn't mean to offend you, trust me" Zain tried to explain

"you still have not answered me, did you tell him that or not?" she asked him again

"yes I did" Zain and before he could say something else, Jane slapped him on the face

everyone gasped, Zain didn't react he just stood there, he moved closer to her and held her shoulder, he knew she was angry

"Jane I'm so sorry I made a mistake, you have to believe me please" he said and he looked into her eyes

Jane took his hands off her "well that mistake of yours just cost me my job, don't you ever come close to me and my family ever again since you can't respect our friendship but instead you have over stepped your bounds" Jane said and left the office in a hurry

Zain felt suffocated, there was no way he was going to loose her, he ran after her

Christopher had just arrived at the company he left the house in a very bad mood, he couldn't find Jane anywhere when he was leaving the house, ' did she really mean that she was not working for him anymore '

he know he was very harsh with her and he shouldn't have, he was still traumatized by what he discovered last night about the case of that girl that her raped and he had taken it out on her but still she can't just leave like that

and the fact that she said that he was wrong made him feel very guilty and uneasy

he was still lost in his thought when he saw Jane walk out of the company's entrance, even though he was in the car he could still see that she was crying, few seconds later he saw Zain running after her shouting her name
