Chapter 65

Jane quickly took her phone out of her bag, there was 27 missed call, she was in serious trouble, her face went pale

"it's not that serious Jane, calm down, you look like you are about to faint" Grace said jokingly

"what if he fires me?" Jane said worriedly

"he sure won't do that, he just hungry, and you know what they say, a hungry man is an angry man, you just need to cook him his food, and everything will be fine" Grace said

"okay, that means we have to leave now, I have to get home" Jane said

"it's fine, let's go then" Grace said and stood up

Jane took all the shopping bags from the manager and headed for the car with Grace

Angel got to the boutique but she was denied access, ' what the hell ' she thought, the security informed her that boutique was shut down at the moment, miss Smith was shopping at the moment and no one was allowed to go in, she can't be disturbed

Angel tried to make a fuss but the security guards were not having any of it, she didn't want to make a scene either, people were starting to recognize her, she has managed to keep a low profile for the past five years, people still hate her for what happened back then

' just you wait, when I become Mrs Smith you will all worship me ' she scoffed

she recognized Grace's car, she decided to wait for her by the car

Grace got to her car, and the smile she was wearing froze

"what are you doing here slut" Grace said

Jane didn't notice Angel until Grace spoke, she was too worried about her own problems

"come on Grace don't be rude, I will be your sister in law soon" Angel said confidently

Grace laughed hysterically "you are still a bitch as before, you never changed, shameless fool, I will rather have a dog as a sister in law, so get the hell out of my face, I have a life unlike you, I don't have time to waste trading words with you"

Grace wanted to go but Angel got in her way

"I'm not done talking to you" Angel said and placed her hand on the car door

"you really have guts don't you?" Grace said annoyed, jerked her hand off, took her hand and twisted her hand to the back

"stop disturbing my family, my brother especially, or you will have me to deal with, you've caused enough havoc already" Grace said and pushed her to the ground

"come on Jane let's go already, we have things to do" Grace said and got into the car, Jane followed after her and they left

Angel bit her lips hard ' how dare that brat, just you wait ' she thought, she quickly stood up before anyone saw her and left

Christopher was in a very foul mood since morning, he couldn't seem to concentrate on anything, he could barely get anything they were discussing at the meeting, his mind was clouded with thoughts of Jane

his father had noticed him and ask him questions but he blamed it on Angel's father being present at the meeting, hell he was also the reason for his anger, seeing him there pisses him the hell off

he couldn't wait for lunch to see Jane, she would be bringing him food, the thought alone made him smile, ' what the hell is wrong with me ' he thought ' I can't like her, I can't like anyone, I'm sure it's just pure attraction, nothing more '

the rest of the morning passed away so slowly, Chris had to sign a lot of documents, he was already used to this kinds of work so it was nothing to him, he's now the president of The Smith's Empire, he was now the most powerful man in this country, that way he could easily find that girl, the memory of that night washed through him and it made him extremely sad

soon he felt the need to see Jane, he doesn't know why and he couldn't even explain it but for some unknown reason he always feel the need to see her whenever he's down, it was like she gave him comfort or something, it was already past lunch time and she was still not here

he had asked his secretary to keep him informed if anyone was here to see him, Cat has being reassigned to him, he asked for it, she has worked for him before and she was beyond efficient, he was glad she was still in the company

he had called her desk severally but nothing, he even asked Jack to check for him, Jack's office is directly beside his, he felt the urge to go check himself but wouldn't he look crazy?

he didn't have a choice but to call home himself, Estella had told him she went out with Grace for shopping, he then called her severally but she didn't pick the damn call

he didn't want to call Grace initially, she might think he was crazy ' a whole him asking desperately after his maid, how pathetic ' he thought

but he didn't have a choice he had to call her

"hello Cat, is anyone here yet?" Chris called and asked again

Cat said no one was here, he hanged up, but he called Grace a while ago " where the hell are they" he muttered to himself

he then picked his phone and called Grace again "where is she, I'm about to die hungry here" Chris complained angrily

"we are heading home right now, we encountered that witch Angel on the way,she delayed us, she needs to go home and cook something for you, she will be with you soon" Grace explained

"what, Angel was there?, there's no need to go home, she can use the kitchen here in my office, send her here right away" Chris said and hanged up

"does so much work make one so hungry, iisshh, go to the company, we will drop Jane off at the company first" Grace said to the driver

"we are going to the company?" Jane asked

"well yes, my brother is too hungry to, you will have to use the kitchen in his office to cook" Grace explained

"there's a kitchen in the office?" Jane asked suprised

"well we are not the richest family in the country for nothing?" Grace said sarcastically

"oh of course" Jane said nodding her head
